Don't care much for the small touch screen. Document feeder works as expected where my HP Officejet Pro 8500 one never did. Uses 4 separate ink cartridges. One drawback is you can't use wireless and the USB cable at the same time. It's either wireless or hard wired all the time.

Bought it for printing homeschool curriculum. Works great except for when printing large patches of blue... it gets really streaky. I’ve tried cleaning it and re aligning it, but it hasn’t fixed the problem.

Very good printer but was a pain in the butt to setup. It kept going offline and I couldn't figure out how to bring it back or keep it from going offline. I had to install and uninstall the software 4 times before it worked. I was on the verge of returning it. I also found (mostly by luck) in the settings when to set the printer to come online. Hint: set the time to come online but don't set an offline time! I've had other HP printers before and they've all been good printers with easy setup. This is a good printer too but was a terrible setup ordeal to go through. Even now, I don't why my scan docs turn from PDFs to jpegs and I can't store them in a doc folder??? I would only recommend this printer with a warning.

My Expensive Printer Died, so off to Best Buy to get a new one and my sales guy informed me about getting the free printer ink program when I purchased a HP Printer....love my new HP Printer and of course the Free Ink mailed to me every 3 months!

I have purchased HP before and compared to other printers, this one is average. It is quite noisy, would have preferred to have something a little quieter.

Now that I have this printer up and running I like it - but it was challenging to install. I needed help - couldn't have don it on my own.

Straight forward set up, good document printer, set up for photo printing is more difficult without easy access to trouble shooting. Previous printer auto selected paper versus with this printer it is a manual process.

The printer was very easy to set up for WiFi printing and does the job. It is noisier than I am used to but prints duplex so I can live with some clunking as it prints. Don’t know about ink use yet but hope it is better than my other HP printers.

The printer is a replacement for a Canon Pixma that "froze" with an error code indicating paper jam. There was no paper in the paper path and the printer could not be reset. The result: get a printer that works. This one does everything it was advertised to do.

Almost gave a perfect rating except the black ink ran out quickly considering I wasn’t printing that much, it was just for home. Found out the ink that came with the it was small so i had to replace it with a bigger cartridge which was optional

The installation disc was out of date so I was stuck

We needed a new printer for our household & have been thrilled to have this one join us!! We are especially thrilled to now have a printer that uses Instant Ink! Such a wonderful program & we look forward to seeing how well it works!!

Like HP products. Unfortunately linking to network and computer is not easy. Scanning is very problematic but once you get it all put together things are great,

I had the prior version of the HP Office Jet Pro and this version HP Office Jet Pro 6978 is really a work horse. Printing, scanning, faxing, and copying is efficient and quick. I have purchased a number of HP products with great outcomes.

Seems to be good. Sometimes we have a bit of trouble when trying to print stuff. I think it’s more the WiFi aspect of it. But when we get it working right it works just fine. A little bit slow on the printing but that’s expected since it’s not a laser jet.

I purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 based on my past experiences with HP Printers. It was super easy to setup and the wireless technology worked right the first time. I was printing and copying in no time. I am so glad I read the reviews and chose this product.

Although I was disappointed at first when I started using this printer because I felt it was flimsy and not as sturdy as my previous HP Envy; However, it works just fine and I have no complaints. I print a lot and for the price I would highly recommend it.

Certainly a nice printer for the price we paid. Only issue is it seems to lose connection to our network periodically. To re-establish, I turn the printer off and back on and that seems to take care of it. I would definitely recommend it.

So far so good. Replaced same model that was 2.5 years old and not heavily used. It stopped working with printhead issues and is not serviceable by HP. Jury is out.

It works very well. I had one that I purchased in 2017, which is almost like this one. I can use the same ink as I had in my old one, which is a plus.
