Love this printer. I was able to print document right from google shared drive. So easy! Several different ways to print from app on phone. Easy set up.

I had very bad experience with this 6978 printer. It started giving print head problem right after one year of purchase. Means you cant print any paper. Unfortunately this printer does not support replacing of printhead. Also i did not take any additonal warranty. Before you buy ensure this printhead is replacable.

I purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer 5 years ago for my home office. I was looking for a printer that was reliable, efficient, and easy to use. I have saved a lot of money on ink by using the HP Instant Ink program. With Instant Ink, I only pay for the ink that I use. This printer has everything I was looking for. My 2 must haves were Insta Ink Printing and front and back printing. It has both and does a great job. The best part is never running out of ink!

Not a bad printer. They are suppose to send me free ink as I don’t use the printer all that often but I haven’t seen any ink as of yet. If they send it I will update it. It’s good for letters and suck

Good printer/scanner always had good experiences with H/P printers.

Disappointed in quality of printing pictures on glossy paper. My other HP 6800 printing was like professional. Had it for 5 years.

I was very skeptical about buying this printer but I have never regretted. This is a great printer. My family and I love it.

It's loud and the color printing is horrible. I've tried all recommended solutions and it still prints horrible. Not to mention it was missing the wire to be able to fax and it won't work with any of the one I've purchased else where. So I can't get it to fax.

Printer made my life much easier especially now I can use it with my iPhone

I returned the 1st printer and did an exact swap for another one, then had to return that one due to it having the same exact problem...the duplex printing feature did not work. It just jammed up every single time! I did not get a third one.

REASON FOR PURCHASE: I purchased 'HP - OfficeJet Pro 6978 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink Ready Printer' for my girlfriend who was constantly visiting the library to print school materials. We also needed a printer for my job. SETUP: It was incredibly easy to setup the wireless feature; basically, you would follow the directions on the printers touchscreen to connect to the WIFI and use the supplied disc which directs you to the website to download the software. If you're concerned with why you need to connect via the disc, it's so you always install the most recent version of the software. I followed my on screen directions on the printer to connect to the WIFI, and my girlfriend, who is not tech savvy, connected her laptop to the printer. The 902 black, cyan, magenta, & yellow ink cartridges were included in the box. They were sealed and protected by a clear plastic which was easy to remove. An orange clip sealed the ink and was easily broken off by turning them till they popped. It was as simple as lifting the lid, lining up the colors according to the tiny picture on the printer, sliding the cartridges in and closing. PRINTING/SCANNING/COPYING: The printer doesn't take long to start up, the response is almost immediately after clicking the print button. The print quality is great but I wouldn't expect any vibrant colors from popping. There are some nice functions included such as: duplex printing which allows you to print on both sides of the page without having to flip the paper over. You can hold over 200 pages in the tray without worrying about the paper jamming. The scanner is great for business needs because you can scan a document as an e-mail attachment directly from the printer's touchscreen or scan and send to your computer. The scan quality is decent and captures decent colors from pictures. Making copies is easy and fast. It's as simple as clicking a few buttons. OVERALL: I am very satisfied with the printer. The 'HP - OfficeJet Pro 6978 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink Ready Printer' works flawlessly for school and small business use. It's extremely easy to setup and navigate its functions. Great quality printing, scanning and copying. I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants a simple setup, aesthetically pleasing design, all in one printer for an affordable price. You will very satisfied with the purchase.

the all in one computer has a lot to offer and it works great.it has a fax in as well.Prints great wireless is awesome it prints from your cell phone and tablet as well from your computer a lot of options to this printer.I would recommend this to anyone. reasonably priced as well

Printer was easy to set up and printing quality is good in both color and black and white. It is compact and fits well in the space I had available. My only complaint is it could be quieter, but it is quieter than the last HP I had! Good buy for home use or home office use.

This model copies, prints, scans and faxes. It is still pretty new and so far I have only printed and copied. It was pretty easy to set up, once I sorted the cord situation. (It does not come with a cable to connect with a desktop, but I found I could re-use the cord from the HP unit it replaced. It does come with a phone cord, for the fax function, to connect the unit with modem, wall jack or whatever.) Printing can be slow as it likes to go through I guess a self-check process that I believe is too long. Color (document) print came out nicely. The inks are in separate cartridges, so a total of four, and they were simple to install. Height & width are equivalent to the 4500 series it replaces, but it is deeper than the 4500. I hope it lasts as long as my previous HP, then again I don't use it heavily.

I got this printer by my computer for easy access, fast scan, print, fax, copies, I like that it is compact and easy to use. I really like that you can do everything from the printer, scan to computer as pdf, tiff, editable text (plus) and the capability of setting it up with WIFI is also cool. I've had this printer for over 4 months and it still works great. as for ink , I have the High Yield 902xl , its the way to go.

Good printer! Have used it 6 months with no issues - it's pretty fast for the price and easy to understand. I'm kind of clueless about techy things and this one is easy for me. My new laptop automatically connected to it -THANKS BE TO GOD! because I would not have known how.

I'd been using a Canon muti-function laser unit for quite a while. It started showing signs of age and finally needed to be replaced. When I had bought it, it made more sense to me to go with a black-and-white laser printer than a color inkjet. I did a lot of printing then and speed was important. Now my needs have changed and I don't need to generate nearly as much paper, and I decided that it would be nice to get back to printing in color. The cost of a color laser unit didn't make sense, so I just focused on multi-function color inkjets. After getting caught up on printer technology after a long time, I settled on this unit as a good balance between price and features. The old printer was connected directly to a computer, which shared it with the rest of the house. However, the reliability was dodgy and it got to be frustrating. So I decided to go with a wi-fi-enabled printer. That was a great choice. I can now print from any computer in the house, and can even print from our phones. I haven't had any problems setting up the computers to use it and the printing and scanning are flawless. Compared with my old laser, the printing speed is much slower, but I only ever print a few pages at a time and speed really isn't a factor. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay extra to get a unit with a document feeder, but I'm glad I did. It works great. I haven't done enough printing yet to run through the cartridges that came with it, but as part of HP's ink-replacement program, I've received the replacements for when they dry up. I'll have to give the program some time to see how I feel about it. It's kind of cool that the printer "phones home" when the ink is getting low, resulting in a package in the mailbox a couple of days later. I pay a fixed price per month for a specified number of pages; if I go over that, I pay a few bucks more for additional pages. But, regardless of how much ink I go through, I never pay for ink. It's kind of interesting - if I print a document with a single character on it, that counts the same as if I printed a high-resolution photo. It may take a while to work out the appropriate number of pages, as I've never really paid much attention to that before. For performance and reliability, I definitely recommend this unit as a good value - great features at a reasonable price.

I've purchased ALOT of Printers & EVERY ONE of them either printed lousy, printed waaay too slow, broke/ stopped printing & theyve all cost a TON for ink supply ! THIS TIME I RESEARCHED THE schnitzel out of 20+ Printers: *Price *Printing Speed *Cloud Compatible 2 print from all my devices *Wireless/ Wifi *Heard about HP Instant INK Program- DEF wanted Printer compatible I narrowed list down to 4 HP Models, Went 2 Best Buy w/pic of my son & few pieces of printer & photo paper, Then I went down the list & literally tried each one out...(And a few more expensive models also just 2 compare). This model printed FAR BETTER quality picture Waay FASTER than EVERY other printer on the floor! And EVEN BETTER - It was on sale In Store!! It IS COMPATIBLE for HP Instant INK Program... it REALLY DOES save TOOOONS of $$$... P.S.- SUPER easy setup; Touchscreen; Easily prints from ALL devices- cell, tablet, Kindle, Laptop, etc... Wireless/Wifi Best printer EVER!! I've been using over 6 months & STILL HAPPY AS A Horse in a Barnful of Hay!!
