Haven’t used it a lot, seems like HP printers only last so long and then you are replacing.

Like most all in ones, it is versatile, but isn't necessarily record setting in any one category.

The initial printer wasn’t even capable of printing the test page for head alignment. Ink carriage jammed and would not move. Replacement printer was shipped in a reasonable time and has been working without issues so far.

Hi there.
I’m sorry that you had such a trying time after the purchase of the first printer. I can certainly understand why receiving and needing to return a defective unit would be quite an unwelcome surprise. I want to help you have a better experience with the new printer, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at meeting that goal.
First, to learn more about the device and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/11161264
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including cartridge installation, print quality, operating-system compatibility and connectivity. There you can find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If you need assistance with anything, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Avoid this printer

We've owned this printer since June 2018. It has worked flawlessly until about a month ago. Now, every time I want to print a document, I have to go through a 3 stage print head cleaning just to print one legible document. After I do a print head cleaning and I don't use the printer for a couple of days, the print quality deteriorates to the point that by page three of the documents I'm printing, the page is totally blank. To me, it's not even worth the effort to contact customer service to try to resolve my issue...it's just not worth the headache for a $100 printer.
As soon as I run out of ink, which won't be long with these ink consuming cleanings, I will go back to the Cannon printers that I've owned in the past. It's a shame too, because when this printer was working, it was working very well.
PS Yes, I am using original HP brand print cartridges.

Hi there,
I'm tremendously sorry that the printer has started posing these printhead issues, especially after working so well up until this point. I can completely understand how disappointing this must be, and I want to assure you that it's far from the reliability we pride ourselves on.
It sounds like the core of the issue is hardware-related, so I do hope you'll reconsider reaching out to us for support so we can arrange for a replacement under your printer's warranty. To verify that your warranty is active, you can visit this link: support.hp.com/checkwarranty
Then, if you decide you want to reach out to us to proceed with my suggestion, you can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite the process, you can gather these beforehand: - Model number - Serial number - Your location - Your case number (from prior contact with support)
If you'll allow us the opportunity, we look forward to making this right.
