Unreliable with connections and print timing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had printer 6 weeks...have spent entirely too much time trying to get it to communicate w pc Have to wait several minutes for print to happen. Some jobs have shown up two days later...frustrating! Preferred hard line connection, but hp doesn't make many of those available...in color.

Two bad printers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer looked like a good printer. It has apps you can download into it, but I was 0 for 2 with this printer. The first printer wouldn't wirelessly connect due to the proper hardware not being installed. I took it back and got a replacement. Right out of the box, the second said printhead not installed. Took it right back and Geek Squad even looked it over and said it was broken. Needless to say, I went with the Canon Maxify and haven't looked back since.

Posted .Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that you were having problems. I hope the new printer works great for you!
Sometimes the printer is less noisy if you pad the surface that it rests upon so there isn't as much vibration. Also, the speed it often improved by just upgrading the firmware.
For any other concerns, we would be happy to help: hp.com/contacthp

Great All-In-One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had a HP All in One for 11 years. Although it still works fine, the cost to buy a new printer is the same as replacing the print cartridges. I only give 2 stars because of my dislike for HP business model that drove me to buy a new printer when the one I had worked perfectly fine.

Not a good replacement. Wreaks of "cheap."
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was supposed to be a replacement for my HP 8600 - I'm sorely disappointed. It wreaks of "cheap" - but worst of all, It will not scan from the ADF, which I used profusely when scanning, copying and faxing documents (if anyone still does that). It will only scan -one at a time - from the flat bed. Oh, and now it wants me to buy more ink - like a baby, always hungry, apparently.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that you’ve had a difficult start with your printer. I can wholly understand why not finding the scanning feature you want and having the device run short of ink sooner than you expected would be tremendously frustrating. I want to help you remedy these issues, so I’ll suggest some resources and provide some information designed to do just that.
First, your printer does have the ability to scan from the document feeder. I recommend you consult the main user manual on our support site, specifically the section called “Scan to a Computer.” Find that manual here:
- www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05139126.pdf
Regarding ink use, I can’t say for certain what happened with the supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program.
If you’re using replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 825 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 300 to 315 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.
Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above – or if you need further assistance with the scanner – I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
