      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer was so difficult to set up. Your review is brief, but your frustration is clear – and totally understandable – so I’ll point you toward some resources aimed at helping you complete the setup process (if you still need to) and get all you need from the device.

First, if you still need it, I recommend that you follow a setup tutorial specific to your printer you can find on our support site. On the same page you can learn more about your printer and all its function as well as get help solving problems. You can access user manuals, troubleshooting guides, how-to documents and software updates. Do that by following this link:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-6970-all-in-one-printer-series/8289585/model/11161264

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup and connectivity. There you can also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If you need assistance for any reason, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I have never been able to get the printer to work. I keep getting the message that it is offline. The company’s customer support has been useless. And the geek squad has not helped either. Likely just throw out the machine. And start over. Very diss appointed.

I was looking for a simple printer for home jobs, and chose this one because it had decent reviews. After using less than a ream of paper (500 sheets) the printer stopped pulling black ink (yes, I replaced the ink). I did all the trouble shooting and even went as far to get HP to send a "certified refurbished" replacement (which happened to have THE SAME PROBLEM). I was extremely disappointed with this printer and would not recommend.

Have to reload it onto my laptop 3 to 4 times a day. When printing several pages it might get the correct number of copies of some pages but makes several more of others. It’s going back.

Had problems from the beginning with jams, ink running low an dry out way too quickly. The XL Cartridges DO NOT print the amount of paper it claims to print and the cartridge carrier has already seized up and now I'm trying to get warranty on they phone.

Worst printer I've had in years. Wireless print doesn't connect to print. Power button works fifty percent of the time. And I've had it for barely two weeks and I'm not even able to return the device now.

      Hi, Dutch.

I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly for you. It’s easy to understand why unreliable connectivity and a power button that doesn’t respond half the time would add up to a poor start to ownership. I want to help you resolve the situation, so I’ll provide some resources and information I hope will guide you to that end.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including setup and wireless connectivity difficulties. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

The power-button issue concerns me somewhat, and I believe it deserves further investigation. For that – and if connectivity does not improve to your satisfaction – I suggest you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Was a good printer but greedy on ink and after 16 months of light home use the printer stopped communicating via wifi and cable. This is my 5th HP printer and is now my last as they simply don't last so time to try something new. They are cheap to buy, but there's a reason.
