Garbage
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ink doesn’t last. The last 3 brand new, genuine ink cartridges that I had only printed 20-40 pages before displaying ‘low ink’ and terrible print quality. It makes no sense to me but I can’t buy ink every time I want 20-40 pages.

bought ne,installled ti and returen danhour later
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the printer. I installed it and left for an hour. When I returned the printer said that the ink cartridge was bad. It was included with the printer.. I had to take the printer back and get a new printer! When I had had the printer for three weeks or so, it said that I was out of black ink. Now it is saying it is out of blue ink. This is ridiculous . I will never buy an HP printer again!

HP OfficeJet Pro 6978
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waist your time. I replaced my HP8600 with HP6978 and it was the worst decision I could have made. I've had more problems with this printer than the HP8600 which I had for 5 years. The quality is terrible.

Posted .Hi there.
I'm sorry your printer has experienced frequent paper jams. I can certainly understand why that would become frustrating quickly, especially with a new printer. Providing a reliable experience is our aim, so I’ll try to help you remedy this with some suggestions.
First, I recommend going through the steps to clearing and avoiding paper jams that you’ll find in this troubleshooting guide on our support site:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05079673
If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

printer won't print after one month use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item on sale. When my other printer quit working, after several years of use with no issue, I started using this printer. After one months use, it will not print. Image is so faint, it is not usable. Tried putting in new ink cartridges, and still not working.

Poor quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ink will not come out of the ink packs on my 3rd one now. Printer is only 1 year 2 months old in a clean dry cool bedroom. It is used occasionally. Now it will not print anything in black ink after replacing with new HP products 902 xl. No solutions work and all the internal fixes are just emptying my color inks (planned I'm sure)

Posted .Hi,
I am unhappy to hear about what is making you unhappy about this printer.
It is hard to diagnose things long distance like this, but i'm wondering if the problem is the printhead getting clogged. Cleaning the printhead (which empties the inks) will fix it in the short term. However, there might be something causing this to happen regularly.
One of the tricky things about most printers that use ink is that they always should be turned off using the power button on the machine itself. That allows the printer to place itself in a "parked" position that protects the printheads from drying out too fast. That drying can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.
I certainly hope this helps you out. We don't like our customers to be unhappy. If there is anything else that we can help with, please contact us: hp.com/contactHP

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Piece of junk. Sometimes will take several minutes to print one page for no discernible reason. Will only print 6 pages and then stops and you have to start over where it left off. Very disappointed. Thre3wit out and purchased an Epson. Very happy with that.

Won't align to print checks.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer won't align top to bottom correctly and spent hours on the phone with two different HP techs. It is about a 1/4" to high. We have had several HP printer and never had a problem.
