We were looking for an all-in-one printer that we can operate from anywhere in the house using PC, iPads or iPhone. We wanted it to be easy to set up and operate and efficient on printing and ink usage, while being small enough to fit where we wanted to se it up. We found exactly what we needed in this printer and it was also a great value. we have been using it now for a couple of weeks and we are very happy.

There are two things to consider when buying a printer: image resolution and printing speed, measured as pages per minute. These are also the factors that determine how muich you'll pay. I looked at every printer available through Best Buy and decided the Officejet Pro 6978 had the best blend of resolution and speed for the money. I also snagged it at half price. Setup is a breeze. I had this out of the box, connected wirelesly to the network in my home office and printing in under 15 minutes. The all-in-one solution of printing, scanning and faxing is handy, but what I really like is the USB port on the front to print documents quickly off a thumb drive. As a final thought on selecting the printer that's right for you, also check the price of the printing cartridges the machine uses. Printer manufacturers are actually in the business of selling ink -- that's where they make their money over the life of your printer. So be sure the printer you buy uses cartridges that don't have ridiculous price tags. Very happy with this HP Officejet Pro 6978.

Just replaced a similar HP printer with this one - although both of our prior two HP's have failed due to the "black ink printer head failing", on line ratings and a replacement ink program from HP prompted us to give HP one more try. New printer start-up was simple, everything worked as intended, and printing thus far (only a few hundred pages to date) has been flawless. Will we buy another HP? Ask me after this one fails (last two have only gone about 3-4 years ~ maybe this is normal life of today's printers but I have an older Dell that is 8+ years that refuses to die [is not wireless])!

I absolutely love the fact that I can fax,scan,copy and print with ease from my home office. This is not my first 4 in 1 but is by far my favorite. Set up was easy as well as the ease of use. The print quality is superior and the fact that it can be detected when the ink is low and it is delivered to my front door is a bonus. The home delivery of ink saves me time and money. It's a win-win situation!

After the ink that came with the printer finished, I replaced it with new cartridges and have done multiple print jobs and the ink is still holding strong a few months later. My old printer didnt even last me half as long. I love the document feeder. It comes in really handy when I have a really long page that needs front and back to be copied. I also enjoy wireless printing from my phone or the destop app. This printer is packed with useful features & they are fun to explore. I haven't tried the fax feature yet. My only con is when the printer randomly starts making a random sound on its own as if its starting a new print job. It only lasts a few seconds and goes away though. If you need an all in one printer for your small hone office, you can't go wrong here.

I was looking for an inexpensive printer with all the bells and whistles and this one fit my needs perfectly. It prints, scans, copies, FAX and it is wireless if you want it to be. It prints very fast and since I am in my 70's is very simple to use. It also has so many other features that I have not quite gotten to. I really like my new printer.

It was easy to set up, came with all of the accessories needed to connect to computer and the printed output looks good for an excellent price.

We needed a new wireless printer that had capabilities for scanning, copying, and faxing. We got that and more in this particular printer from HP. our previous one was also an HP and served us well until we felt the need to upgrade. It also has an option to have ink sent to us based on our usage. It was simple to set up. Price was very reasonable, too.

We got this printer to replace our old HP Office Jet Pro 8600. The 6978 is smaller, and lower priced, but still has just about all of the features we were used to. it's very user friendly, compact and reliable. Color/photo prints come out looking great. I compared a lot of models, but am glad we decided on this one.

my family upgraded from the hp officejet 8510. that one was old and had a lot of problems, but this one is so easy to use. my sister printed a school paper off her phone the other day, and my mom printed some pictures from her computer. the setup was easy, and with instant ink we shouldnt ever run out. i think its a great printer bundle.

Very happy with this printer. Fairly compact so it fits in the space I have for it. Easy to use & prints quickly.

This printer does everything - fax, copy, scan & print. And all wireless. Technology is so great!

Good printer great quality print. Easy ink replacement. Hold a lot of paper. Doc feeder is great for scanning several documents. Can't us doc feeder for copies. The one problem I have with it is It might decide to do maintenance before a print job or in the middle Of one. Don't see any way of setting to do maintenance after hours. Sign up for HP ink you will be happy you did. I have never run out of ink. I print about 500 pages per month. I also signed up for the HP paper also.

Went to find replacement for my tired, old "All in one" that finally gave out. Looked at numerous units by multiple manufactures but kept coming back to this one due to the price & features.It was the easiest set-up I have ever experienced & it's wireless (except for the power supply) You can even send photos or files to it from your cell phone. WOW ! It is so much fastest than my old one.

Can fit up to 500 sheets in the tray, cheaper ink than my older HP Printer, and prints faster per sheet than my old one. Improvement all around and a smaller body as well.

This printer is perfect. We don’t print often but when we do it is great. It is small but gets the job done. It is Wi-Fi and easy to use. I highly recommend this printer.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 works well with my laptop and iPhone from all locations in my home. Double sided, color or b/w--very easy to use!

I looked at quite a few different printers. I have been a loyal Canon purchaser for a long time and was set on buying another one. After looking at the HP reviews on this printer, I was decided to give this HP a try. Printer works great, a little slower then my Canon was but print quality is great. Combined with the Instant Ink program, it was an easy decision to buy this printer.
