This is the best printer that I have ever owned. It is super fast. Its wireless works amazing. It synced with my computers and devices super easily. The color and double-sided printing is superb. And the price is incredible.

I haven't had the printer in use for very long but so far, so good. It was pretty easy to set up and I'm not techie at all! I had a bit of a problem with the fax but I figured it out. I previously did not have a Bluetooth printer, so it's really convenient to have this feature. Print quality is good. It's not fast but I didn't need it to be.

The HP Pro 6978 printer is a great wireless printer for home use. It is fast, easy to set up, sends fax, and does a terrific job printing everyday things around your home. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone!

This is my third HP Office Jet printer. It was very easy to set up and connected to my WiFi instantly even though it is not in the same room as the router. I connected it wireless. So far it is doing a great job printing. I also like that like my previous printers, I can subscribe to HP instant ink, so that I never run out of ink. Very good printer at a reasonable price!

Good compact printer, prints in black & white and color, scans, does photos and a fax machine all in a good compact printer for a great price, when you buy when on sale.

I had looked at a bunch of printer reviews online but didn't order any of them, mostly because I needed the printer ASAP. So I went to my local BB and after reading some reviews on the fly, I ended up purchasing this printer. I am really glad I did! Out of the box, it only took about 15 minutes to set the printer up. Connecting it to my WiFi was a breeze! I was printing wirelessly within 20 minutes of having it home. I've printed from 2 MacBook Pros, a Chromebook, a Microsoft Surface, and an iPhone 5 without any hiccups or difficulties; the process is so easy! I haven't used it yet, but you can also email documents to your printer to print, as well as use Facebook Messenger to print. One of my favorite attributes is that the printer can automatically do duplexes, which as a student is a wonderful feature that my previous printer did not have. It is slower than I had expected, but if you are only printing text and are using the "draft" function, it is still pretty quick. I have printed about 200 pages since I bought the printer and the color ink cartridges that came with it are still mostly full. The black, on the other hand, is almost empty. I primarily print plain text, so I suppose this was somewhat expected. The printer came with a three month trial of HP Instant Ink, which I enrolled in, so I already have cartridges to replace it with. We will see how many pages I end up getting out of a normal sized cartridge (the replacement for black seems a bit more than double the size of the one that came with it). Copying is easy and the small touchscreen allows you to enlarge and crop right from the printer without having to scan it to your computer first (which was awesome!). Scanning works great and doesn't require your computer to be attached to the printer with a cord. Images come through crisp and clean. I have not used the fax capabilities (which I am fairly sure it has since it came with a phone cord), so cannot speak to that. But I have been impressed with everything else about this printer, so I suspect that would be great as well! Overall, I am very glad that I purchased this printer! It has been a gem.

I have no complaints about this printer. Installation was easy, and it works as expected. The only complaint I have is that it didn't come with a cord to connect to the computer. The wireless printing function works ok but not when I connect through a VPN, which I often do for work. Still for the price I paid, good value.

The OfficeJet Pro 6978 works smoothly with all the programs I use. Print quality is very good. Scanning and copying are intuitive, quick and high quality.

After a month I can say the printer was easy to set up. I'm able to print from laptop or from phone with wireless or with direct connection. This one is faster than previous HPs. Good for the price.

As a teacher, we have to work from home and do a lot of printing. I researched this printer, talked to friends who already had the printer. You had the best price for this printer!! I love the quality of the color prints. It’s an all in one. I’ve been able to Scan documents, fax and receive faxes. This printer is so easy to use. I really love the fact this it’s wireless. My family is able to print documents from our phones with ease. I’ve had to relocate the printer and we still didn’t miss a beat setting the printer up and being able to continue using it without any problems.

After owning 4 HP printers over the years that have all failed on me at some point I was reluctant to buy another HP printer. This one was recommended to me by HP technical support for my needs. So far, so good. I have not yet had any issues but i’ve only had this printer about one month and my experience with HP overtime has not been good. That being said it works great wirelessly from the home computer, laptop and iPhone. It prints fast and very clear and have not yet had any paper jams or other issues with it.

I bought this printer about 6 weeks ago to replace a Canon I had just bought that was awful. Haven't had this HP for very long yet but so far it's been pretty good. Setup was time consuming but once finished, it's been fine. I was even able to get the printer working on an old IMAC whose operating system version was not listed as covered by this printer. Connectivity is good but it seems you can't use the ethernet connector and a USB connection at the same time. You have to choose one or the other. That can be a bother if you have many computers like I do. WIFI works well. The scanner does a very good job and is reasonably fast. But it seems you can't save custom settings to keep as your default settings when you use the scanner. Not a big deal but I use the scanner more than the printer and I have to deal with this minor annoyance every time I use the scanner. And It was the scanner that was the most time consuming on initial setup. The printer seems to do well. It's reasonably fast, not exceedingly noisy and the text looks good. I haven't printed many photos on photo paper yet but it was easy to load in the photo paper and the quality was very good. Printing photos on regular printer paper was not very good but I haven't experimented much with that. Ink consumption seems ok so far for normal, home-use purposes. I'm still using the ink that was supplied with the printer so I don't know if it will be a hassle to find replacement cartridges. Haven't even setup the fax yet. To some this feature might seem like a waste but it can be surprising how many situations can call for fax; buying a home, communicating with a lawyer, etc. So it's good to have this feature even if it's seldom used. The printer wants to stay "on" and I have to shut it off manually to save electricity. Overall, this was a very good purchase. I've been using printers since about 1981 and I understand that any manufacturer can't "get it all right" on a product such as this. Over the years, I've often found myself returning to HP products after experiencing what other brands have to offer. Overall, over many years, my HP printers (and computers) have consistently out-performed and out-lasted any other brands I've owned. And I feel this printer will do as well as the other HP products I've owned. It's not perfect, but pretty darn good bang for the buck.
