I can't count the number of desk top printers I've had in the past 10 ten years. The last one, HP 8610, stopped working after a few years and apparently the part that was defective cost more than a new one (surprise) so I went ahead and picked this one based on on-line reviews. So far, it has worked flawlessly. One feature I particulary like is the ability to scan a document and send it directly to my computer through our wireless inhouse network.

I do like the size and speed of this printer. However, it goes offline quite a bit, including during print jobs and ends up printing multiple copies of the same docs when it comes back online. I have to run the diagnostics more than I would like. I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who prints a lot of materials, as I only print a handful of items a week.

This was VERY easy to install and the prints are clean and clear. The speed is fast enough as well.

I had been searching for an all-in-one to replace an older HP unit that had wifi connectivity problems. The old unit would have to be power cycled every time I wanted to print from my laptop or ipad. The 6978 is a fantastic machine. It has great print quality for documents and photos. The wifi connection works as it should. I have not had to restart the printer in the month I have had it. I like the printer so much, I bought two more as Christmas presents for my family.

This is a 5 Star printer. I’ve bought many printers, and many different brands, and every now and then HP will release a Model number that outperforms all others. This printer is one of those, don’t miss out on this one. The quality is outstanding and worth the price!

I thoroughly enjoy this printer and the AMAZING deal I got purchasing it. I decided to make a scrapbook of a recent trip and also needed a printer for school work. As I browsed Bestbuy I found this one on sale for a very good price. I tried comparing others but with the photo print and fax options combined with print speed and double sided printing there was nothing to compare! Very pleased with my purchase and my photo print quality.
