Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

I really like this printer. Super easy to set up. Does what he says it will. Copies great. Scans great. Prints great. Faxes easy. It's a little larger than I anticipated. Also a little louder than I thought I'd be. Overall happy with the purchase....

I recently purchased this printer along with an iMac desktop. I love the wireless connectivity to all of our family devices. Set up is super easy and printing output is very fast. I replaced an older Canon printer that would not connect wireless anymore and took FOREVER to warm-up then to print. I use it mainly for documents but have printed a few pictures and am satisfied with the quality. My only complaint is the printer size. It is rather large for a home office. I got it on sale, which is a bonus, but would definitely recommend it at retail price!

Found this one online at Best Buy web site. Ordered it online for store pick up the same day. It was ready in less than 30 min., Can't beat that with a stick. I like the online order and store pickup, although it was only the second time I have used it but both times have been Totally Hassel Free. On to the Printer we go. H.P. has made good stuff for a long time. This Printer is larger than most, it does have a big foot print. But that keeps it from moving as much while it prints. So I happen to like that because I run multiple printers and some will shake the printer stand while running. This one does not do that. Its is not as fast as the 400 to 600 dollar ones but it holds it own. The Fax works great, just like all H.P. Faxes do, and this one can be used as a stand alone fax. The Copy is good on the copy feature, both Black and Color. The Res. is good as well. The Copy tray does not hold as much as some others, but I have yet to find one that meets my needs for a reasonable price. If you feed the paper in the Copy tray it will do just fine for a 100 or more pages. I ran over a 100 on it broke down into 25 sheet runs, slipping the next set in under the last page of the previous set. I have not used the OCS Software so ??? As for printing, it does just fine and by running slower I have a chance to see what it is putting out and can cancel if needed before it spits out 20 sheets. I use this one for web printing and first thought the slower number of pages might be a problem but it turned out to be a good thing. Less wasted paper and ink if what I was printing was not what I wanted. So don't let it being a little slower keep you from buying this one. All Printers make noisy and this one is no different. It had the same weighted noisy as the bigger, faster and 6 times higher price Printer. That did surprise me!! All in all I would buy another one. It would make a great printer for school work. Set up is super simple and done before I knew it. Merged with the rest of my H.P. Printers with no trouble. I used the USB so I can not tell you how the other conn. would be. I do not use any wireless of any kind for security reasons. To each his own.

Does everything it's supposed to, simple set-up. Lack of additional dedicated paper tray is disappointing, but not a deal-breaker since very easy to load specialty paper when necessary. Extremely large size of printer is challenging - would not purchase another printer this size. Overall: typical, excellent HP print quality and dependability.

Pros: Great price, great quality, double sided printing, uses a lot less ink than my other printers, fast, and love the wireless/bluetooth features. Cons: Very bulk and big. I also didn't like the fact that it doesn't copy double sided.

Easy set-up, easy to use, slightly bulky, but matte finish makes it a little less obtrusive, good paper handling (duplex), acceptable speed, fax is fine. All-in-all, an excellent value for small to medium office. Wireless print is a real plus.

We had a lot of issues with our previous wireless printer. This HP wireless printer with Fax and Scanning capabilities is easy to operate, reliable and uses fewer print cartridges then our old printer. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this product on a Black Friday/Cyber Monday type sale as it seemed like a really good deal. I bought it because we have had the same printer for at least a decade and it was due, plus my Wife is a Kindergarten Teacher and needs to print a lot of random things for her classroom, so it was really a gift for her. Super easy to set up right out of the box. Once I loaded the CD driver into my computer downstairs, I was able to print wirelessly from anywhere in the house. My daughter recently had a project that she was doing for her second grade class. It required a spreadsheet to be made and printed out to be put on a construction paper/board. The print quality is amazing and very quick. Colors are nice and vivid. Really cool that it is wireless.

Pros *Easy Set-up. Easy to use touch screen. *Big but not huge. Heavy for a printer but moveable by one person easily. *Affordable ink. The blank cartridge that came with the printer lasted for over 1300 pages. The XL should approach 3000 pages. *Wireless printing and copying works well with every compatible device. Scanning gives multiple options (Save as PDF, Save as JPEG, Email as PDF, Email as JPEG, etc..) *Good array of optional apps and features such as "email to print" from anywhere Con *Paper tray doesn't hold as much as other printers.

HP Officejet Pro 8610 - Home Use

Needed to replace my out of date, broken printer, also an HP. Chose this because of price & wireless features. Didn't need anything fancy as we use it for home/school projects. Won't use the fax features. Set up was easy. Liked that we could activate online from multiple computers in the house. Printing is good. Only complaint is when my daughter is printing her photos & designs for school, she has to use special paper. We've found that the ink will sit on the paper in certain spots causing a slight color distortion which affects the final product. Her professor noticed it to so now she has to go to Kinko's or somewhere to print her final projects.

The quality, the features, the menu tabs, and how fast everything is with just a tap of your finger to adjust or change options. Amazing !! The ream of paper and more that can fit into the tray is a plus. One thing I was checking on before purchasing this model, was the fax option. One printer model has to have the person present when receiving a fax (thought this was a concern with this one). No! This model works fine when on distinctive ring option (automatic receive all the time). Great so far so good with the ink as well lasting much longer than I thought (after a few hundred pages of printing). Still going and love this HP - Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One !!!!!

Great bang for the buck in a solid, well-built, office-quality printer. I bought this for my home office because it was capable of nearly 3 times the print speeds of other printers at near the same price range. Granted, the ink cartridges this printer uses are more costly than the ones used by the slightly cheaper printer models priced for the "home" user. But, based on the average number of pages they are rated to print, the cost per page for this printer is much lower. The print quality is outstanding, even in the fastest "draft" mode, plus it has the added advantages of 2-sided printing, and a document feeder for copying or scanning multi-page documents. Yes, it looks big, but the footprint on my desktop is the same as the same those other printers, this one is just taller. Easy to set up on a wireless network - no printer cable required... easy to control either from the computer, or the touch-screen on the printer front panel... plus, I can print emails, documents, pictures, whatever - directly from my smartphone. For that matter, I can send a print job to the printer via the internet, just like sending an email, so that my printout is waiting for me when I get home. Frankly, I'm not sure when or why I would want to do this, but it's an interesting feature. The bottom line: I'm very happy with this purchase - every aspect of the printer's performance is beyond all expectations. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas and it was the easiest printer to set up I have ever experienced. I hooked it up to the network wirelessly, assigned it as the default printer, installed the software and everything worked great. The touch screen works very well and the menus were very easy to follow. It prints very quickly with high quality. I definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for a new printer. If there were any drawbacks to this item, it would be that it does not utilize the 6 color printing that some printers do and it is a pretty large size. It still prints great and works very well.

Good document feeder for scanning and decent print jobs. Good for a home with average printing/scanning requirements. I was not interested in fax that much but you know what a need came up like 2 days after buying the printer and I tried the fax and it just worked gr8. There is an option of buying ink automatically at 2.99 a month which is a good option for average printing scenario and takes the cost of the ink equation out of buying a inkjet printer. So far so good for me. What's not good is the size and bulkiness, but I guess that's what you would get from an all in one printer.

I had to replace my old hp printer and after researching extensively online, I decided to go with this printer even though its an older model. I absolutely love this printer. It was easy to set up, prints perfectly and I love the 3 in 1 function. The printer is a little bulky looking but who cares because it does everything you need it to do. I even bought some glossy photo paper and printed one-sided greetings. Its been few weeks since I got this printer so I am hoping I don't have any major problems in the future. This printer is a great investment.

I wanted a printer that would be a step up from what I had. This all in one printer is more than I could ask for. I printed out 25+ full size photos on photo paper and didn't even use half the ink in the cartridges that came with the printer. I love all the features on this unit. The price was a real steal for the quality and the functionality.. It is very easy to use and very quiet. Very nice printer and a great price on sale.

I recently had a Kodak and when it went out, I purchased this HP. I use mainly for business but do some color on it, not much. The speed of printing is pretty awesome for the black and haven't used enough color to tell. It is very user friendly and was a breeze to set up. If I was able to use the color more, I could probably give this item a 5 star rating. Pricewise, I don't think you can beat it with a competitive printer with the same capabilities and the touch panel has bigger numbers than my Kodak did.
