Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

After purchasing this printer, I noticed that the LCD screen was too small, so I upgraded to the HP 8620.

HP has returned to making quality products

I have been buying HP printers for 20 years. At first I was a loyal customer because they were so reliable, my first ones were genuine workhorses that lasted years. Then HP started selling printers that gave you problems from the moment you bought them, that required ink replacement every month and that lasted a year if you were lucky. I came to loathe HP. Then, in an emergency when the last HP died, I rushed to replace it and stayed with HP because it was on sale and it was an animal I knew. This HP Officejet Pro 8610 is my best purchase of 2015. Not kidding. I never write reviews. I now have a printer that prints every single time, that hasn't run out of ink yet and that has yet to require even a minute of "troubleshooting" time. Not one problem in the five months I've owned it. Now that may be a sign of how burned I have been by HP but I love this printer. I can't believe that I haven't had to replace an ink cartridge yet. I can't believe that when I press print I can actually rely on the outcome every singe time. Thank you HP. Thank you.

HP never fails & the Officejet Pro 8610 is another fine example of how HP can bring quality output to small home office convenience. The ease of set up was incredible plus wireless connectivity is strong.
Whn I compared to an Epson my wife had picked, the HP life time span was great, CNet & PC mag both confirming plus Epson operating costs are far greater than HP.
Mobile print, or pc/laptop use, this is a must have in your small office or home office like ours.

Coming from Epson printers, I was hesitant to switch but getting this on Flash Sale, the price was right. Very simple setup. For the speed this thing has, I can't complain. Cartridges yield higher then most other inkjets. For home and my use the paper tray holds plenty of paper. Quality is pretty good. I have not printed anything real high quality needing photo paper yet. Wifi and Airprint has worked just fine. I know this is a "small production" type machine, but didn't realize how large it was until I put it on the desk.

Printer works well; Set-up difficult

Printer works well but it took me about 6 hours to get it set up - and is kind of big, which isn't really an issue, though. The problem was that, while the printer found my wireless network, the computer couldn't. So, I tried connecting with a USB cord - but one is NOT provided in the box. I found a spare USB cord and attached it but it still would not fully load the needed drivers - although I could get something to print. I called HP and they stated that is normal, although the copy/scan/fax option wouldn't work without the needed drivers. The problem appeared to be that I needed to fully UNINSTALL the PRIOR driver BEFORE adding the new drivers. Once that was done it connected properly. The wireless problem appeared to be because I had a Netgear router for my home network and an Xfinity/Comcast router/modem. To fix it, the printer is now on the Xfinity wifi. That's not really problematic, although I'll need to provide anyone visiting the Xfinity password if they want to print. I gave the printer 3 stars due to the issues. What I DO like about the printer, though, is the ease of use, quality image, construction, seperate ink cartridges, and the ease of setting it up - if you had no wifi and did not have a prior printer/driver.

I have not been able to print on this printer and I cannot figure it out. I called Geek Squad but I was on hold to long to wait. Then I tried the online service and was not able to connect to staff help. I have to wait until I get enough time to actually sit and wait to get this darn thing fixed! I cannot review the printer....ugh!

HP Quality Exceeds Expectations

Got this printer on sale for $99.00. The dramatic price drop made me a little cautious.....but read several other reviews and did some research first. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the printer was to set up and access my network flawlessly within about a minute. Additionally, there are many free web based accessory sites offered by HP for creations and templates and this printer will handle print jobs from any of your devices ie: cell phone, iPad, Kindle etc. Paper tray holds 250 blanks and it has separate cartridges for black and individual color inks. Email printing is very useful for me also. The print quality is superior, the feed trays make sense, and the exit tray has an intelligent stop so your printing doesnt wind up mixed up in a pile on the floor ! This printer is a little larger than most home based units, but that is in height. The actual footprint is about the same as any other full size printer. I purchased this printer to replace one that would not work with Windows 8.1, which was installed on the new HP laptop I purchased 2 weeks ago. That printer was less than a year old and Canon had no update driver provisions for Windows 8.1. In summary....Ive tried Canon, Epson, Brother, and Dell printers over the years, and Im sticking with HP. The last HP lasted 7 years.....the rest of the afore-mentioned lasted maybe 2 years before giving out. I highly recommend this printer.....for whatever thats worth from a nobody...lol. Hope this review helps you in your buying decision.

It takes for ever to print and paper got caught in between the rollers and when extracted a plastic item was found and do not know where it comes from to my point of view this is a very poor product. Also bought a lap top and was not advised that there was no CD or DVD facility was, very, very disappointed. Rita Aken

Had to find a replacement for older HP all-in-one. This machine is way too big, and has a constant problem with cartridge errors since the day I bought. Only chose it because of the sale price. Print quality isn't as good as my last unit but it's okay. And, as usual, the cartridges are too expensive.
