Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

My last printer, Epson, crashed half way through printing my daughter's high school project. Had so many problems with ink plugging, jams, lost communication, I decided to go back to HP. With all the printing she has do to, I looked for a printer that could print two sided to reduce the load she has to carry daily. The printer was the right price ($99) and had all the features. It is a little louder than the HPs i have owned in the past and my one try with Epson but it is not bad - something you get use to. Easy to set up. Has worked great with all our wireless devices. It is MUCH larger than I envisioned. Even in the store when it was signed up with other all-in-ones, I didn't imagine it would be so tall. Something to think about if you have a tight space. The scanner is great. I have been scanning in old photos and this thing is fast and just as good as the older HP scanjet G3110 I was using. It is nice to get rid of all extra machines!

The printer was easy to set up. I use this particular printer for printing wirelessly and it worked smoothly from the beginning. The print quality is decent. The only complaint is that the Home Screen is built into the side of the printer and can't be tilted upwards for easier reading as it was on my last printer. That means that you have to get down to eye level to read the screen. Otherwise it is a great printer thus far.

I was searching for an inexpensive printer for my daughter to take with her for her dorm. This printer was on sale and the online deal was too good to pass up. However, when I got to the store, I found out the unit is way too big for a dorm. But the deal ... you know. So I kept it and gave her mine. The machine is more than expected. It is fast and quiet and the ink is relatively inexpensive. Setup is a breeze and the wireless works flawlessly. I can even print from any device I can email from.

What a steal! This printer was on sale at a very reasonable cost. I have to say, I am super impressed with how easy it was to hook it up and get it working with our computers and our cell phones. Also, my husband immediately decided to print off a BUNCH of heavily inked items and used up almost all of the sample ink cartridge, but it took a while before we had to switch to the refill! It's very fast and easy. LOVE this machine! Pics come out a little blurry, that's the only drawback.

I have had this printer since my old HP 6500 died, I have done over 500 pages on it so far and no issues. the printer synced up with my wireless flawlessly versus my previous printer was always fighting the connection. this one has been great so far no disconnects and great all around printing both color and black and white. I got it on sale for a great price, would definitely buy again, remember this is a bigger printer, takes up a decent amount of space where you put it

I love my new HP Office Jet Pro 8610. It's fast, wireless works great. Pros: - Fast - Completely wireless, it even has an email address that you can personalized - i love the printables app that I can print coloring pages for my daughters and paper airplanes! - The instant ink program! Definitely worth it, I'm sure HP will raise this price in the future, but I hope I get to lock in on the price Cons: - Bulky - Doesn't have dedicated photo tray

*Disclaimer: I got this printer for a pretty great price thanks to the price matching guarantee provided by Best Buy. Nonetheless, had I known more about everything it could do before purchasing, I would've paid full retail price for sure. That being said... I am in love with this printer. My minimum requirements in searching for a new one were that it could print double-sided without me needing to feed the pages back into the input tray, and that it could print wirelessly. This printer does both of those things and so much more. The HP ePrint function is great, and allows me to print from any device - computer, iPhone, etc. I especially love that I can email files to my printer's unique email address from anywhere, and it will be waiting for me when I get home (be aware that it will print any email content or signature lines, so delete these in the body of the email if you don't want the extra stuff printed). Set-up took a bit longer than I anticipated, and I actually went a whole month without tapping into the full ePrint and wireless capabilities. I use a Macbook, so not sure if I just missed some obvious set up points or what, but now that I think I've tapped into everything, it's great. The 'Apps' function on the printer is really fun too - I can't wait to explore all the different Apps in its repertoire. Another note of caution - this is a sizable printer, which is expected given everything it can do. Be sure you have a large enough space reserved on your desk or bookshelf to accommodate it! Overall, this is a fabulous printer. I don't print enough to subscribe to the automatic ink tracking/refilling service, but having that option is also great.

I already have used this same printer in my work office for over a year. So when it came on sale I couldn't resist replacing the 15 year old HP printer in my home. (It still worked well, but the ink cartridges were old and I was ready for an upgrade). Scanning and fax capability were an added bonus to the quality of print.

When my HP photosmart (which was a great printer) all in one printer stopped working after 10 years, I was sad, but I knew I was going to get an HP wireless printer. Well so far, I am satisfied with my purchase. I haven't used the fax yet, I hope that is simple to figure out. The only thing is that the scanner was way better on my old 2410 hp photosmart. I liked the colors and overall look of photos better with the old scanner, the colors were more natural, the quality of photos were better, I wonder if there is a way to fix that with this printer. The great thing about this printer was that the set up was very easy. The printer pretty much sets itself up once you turn it on. With my router on, it was able to connect to my IPad and laptop. It's wonderful being able to print without having to connect USB to my laptop. I love the fact that I was able to buy this online and got the best price at Bestbuy, and got it delivered to my home pretty quick.

The HP 8610 has everything I need...clarity, great color, and the ability to print legal size documents, important for a musician. The XL cartridges have an incredibly long life and are cost-efficient. All the important functions--scanning, faxing, two sided printing--and a reasonable price!

For the price this is an excellent printer. It may even be overkill for some but for ~$100 who cares? It's extremely efficient on ink, has a pretty big paper tray, sets up easily and prints fast and accurate. Wifi is awesome too. Only thing is that it's slightly bulky but considering all that it does, I don't care. HPs are the best printers and this is the best of the best.

We really like this printer. It has a ton of features, was easy to set up, prints very fast, is easy to use wirelessly from multiple computers (for printing and scanning), and has good print quality. We have owned many home printers and, for an inexpensive choice, this one seems a lot like a printer you would have at work.

The quality of printing is good. I haven't found the ink saving option (as my old Cannon had), which may prove to be costly on ink... I print a lot of contracts. It was easier to set up this time around and I can easily print from devices. I takes up more space than I am used to. From click to printed sheet is faster. If this printer last more than 2 1/2 years, I will be pleased.

Perfect printer for my home needs. Easy to set up. Love the wireless printing; can print from my computer downstairs to the printer upstairs. Got for a great price on sale; would make a great graduation gift. Bear in mind that it is not a compact printer as it does take up a lot of real estate on a small desk.

HP Photosmart 8610 e-All in One does it all- Prints black and in color, scans, copies, prints quality photos and even sends old style paper faxes. AND it also operates with Wi-Fi so my MAC-Pro, IPad and IPhone all connect seamlessly from anywhere in my house and prints to the home office, iIts also inexpensive.

This printer is an upgrade from all the other HP ones I have had. Print quality and quantity with ink has been excellent. No jams, feeds easily and easy to use. Best of all, it doesn't fight our wireless network and recognizes not only all the laptops and PC's, but the tablets, ipads and phones also

After years of helping clients with printers, HP continues to stay at the top of the heap with (comparatively) inexpensive, fast printers, with relatively cheap ink. You still certainly get what you pay for, and for about $100 on sale we got this nearly top-of-the-line inkjet all-in-one. I really like the built-in e-Print feature, with more folks wanting to print from their e-devices, and HP makes it pretty easy to use. Overall, I consider the 8xxx series to be the best for combination personal and office inkjets, with fast printing, near-color laser quality, user-friendly interface that doesn't demand your attention, and easy network connectivity. The only caveat is the huge footprint this monster makes, but still compared to other alternatives, it remains my top choice.

This is our third 8600-family printer, and we have two in our home now. It is excellent -- fast, true-fidelity color or B/W prints, good scan quality, multi-sheet feeder, automatic 2-sided copying, etc. I found it easy to install and to use. I am a serious photographer, and the photo quality is excellent. The only drawback I have had is that having two of these with the same name on my wireless network can cause confusion when the wireless goes down and comes back up. If I were a little more savvy technically, there is probably a good solution. What I do is check the printer's IP address and connect using that. It is a bit of a pain, but achievable. The printers themselves are excellent. I would not have bought 3 if I wasn't sold on them. It both scans/copies two-sided and prints two-sided. One of my printers has the extra paper supply, so I can keep photo paper in one tray, and regular paper in the other. This works very well for me. Prints envelopes easily as well.
