Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

We have not had this printer for long, but so far so good. Pretty easy to use, hooked up with no issues. Seems a bit slow at times, but nothing major. Unit seems on the large side, but that may just be due to the 2-sided printer capacity.

Bought the HP 8610 two weeks ago. My previous printer was the HP 6830 and it was nothing but trouble. It had paper loading issues, and finally the Print Head died. The machine was less than 6 months old. Returned it to the store (it was NOT from Best Buy) for a refund. Just bought the 8610 at Best Buy. Setup was easy. So far, it has worked like a charm. No issues. Hope it lasts several years. We do HOME printing, not an office. This printer was designed for a small home office, but we like it so far. It is larger than your typical home printer, but that is not a problem at all. The print quality is excellent, it is quiet, and most of all IT WORKS. So far, I am happy with it.

This printer was easy to set up. I bought an HP this time to use their monthly ink deal which saves a lot of money on ink. Printer is fast and prints well. Only negative is its very large size.

I had been watching this printer for quite some time and once I came across a great deal ($99 plus $30 giftcard!), I had to get it. Setup is quick and easy, had no problems communicating with all my apple devices. I can print from my iphone without any issues, which happens every so often when printing from other printers. Anyone looking for a quick, easy to use all in one printer or looking for something for the home office, this product deserves a look.

This printer is much larger than I expected. It was reasonably easy to set up. The wireless link is much more reliable than my old 3 in 1 wireless. I choose this model because of the ink cost. Then I discovered the new program where I can print up to fifty pages per month for $3 and never buy ink again. I guess I saved HP some money on ink costs. Still this is a great value if you don't print very much. I guess the deal for more pages is even better. Over all I am a happy buyer. The wireless link has never failed since I set it up.

Easy to set up. I enjoy the capability to print from computer or phone. I also like this printer come with a monthly ink of $2.99 for 50 pages. Ink cartridges for this printer cost over $70. Only drawback is the enormous size.

Adding the printer to my net work was easy. All devices - smart phones/tablets(IOS & Android)/PC/Laptops - connect and print via wireless. Scanning is a breeze, whether directly to folders on any connected computer or to email. My family, including my sixth grader loves the ease and convenience. No more do I hear "the printer is not working!!" Print quality is good. Waiting to see ink use and reliability as I have only had it for a few weeks.

I have one of these already but bought a second one because it was on sale and goes perfect in the basement. This saves me from walking up and down the stairs when I need to print something. It's fast, wireless, and HP brand. I suspect it's going to be discontinued with many major chains having it on sale a lot. Only things could be enhanced is a memory card reader but I can go through my pc for that. I'm not looking forward to replacing the ink cartridges either. But it's fast, quiet, and a great priced printer.

My old HP printer still works, but not apparently with Windows 10. Wanted an All in One with wireless anyway. It was on sale for $100. Set up was easy and fairly fast. The printer is also a scanner and a copier. Both functions work nicely. The touch screen leads you through the scan/copy process. Print time for my tax return was a bit slow. I haven't found a way to cancel a print job yet, but I haven't looked very hard. The printer was recognized automatically by a second laptop and my iPad. I am trying the HP ink service, but too soon to give feedback on that. The machine is bigger than I expected. Quality of the machine itself seems sufficient although I predict that the little plastic flap that pops up to hold the printed paper will break off soon.

Print time faster than my old printer and was easy to setup. Only drawback I can think of is it is large office size, but I wanted a good printer that would do everything.

I got this printer because I needed to scan documents to send to a mortgage company in order to buy a new house. This printer allowed me to scan those documents by putting the stack in the feeder tray and pushing start. It allowed me to pick between final formats of the documents (PDF, JPEG, etc...). It also allowed me to print wireless from remote locations. This was very handy when I was not at home and needed to get my wife to sign something or needed the document at home. It also prints two sided documents without having to manually turn the paper over. Overall easy to use and does everything I was looking for.

I have only used this printer for one month, but so far I love it! I've never set up a printer myself (my husband usually does that kind of thing) but I set this up from start to finish, no issues. It seems to work great, and I think it prints quickly for an inkjet. The ink cartridges it came with seem to be full size cartridges, not small trial cartridges. As soon as I got it I printed over 50 color copies for Valentines and the ink cartridges have hardly changed levels.

I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7 which is not compatible with my scanner (HP 5200C) or my US Robotics fax/modem card. My wife is a big time iPad user but my printer did not support Apple AirPrint so she was constantly having to use the PC to print out documents instead of doing so directly from her iPad like she wanted to do. So, it was time to upgrade to a printer/scanner/fax combo. I researched HP, Epson, Canon and Brother and for the features I wanted compared to price, the HP 8610 came out the clear winner. Two features included with the printer are the automatic double-sided printing sheet feeder and the 250 sheet paper tray. I really love these two features because I don't have to reload paper nearly as often as I used to and the double-sided printing significant reduced my paper usage. Initial assembly, installation and set-up was very easy. The instructions are visually based and easy to follow in putting the printer together. The driver software was very easy to install by just inserting the software disk that came with the printer and following the directions on the screen. The set-up software took me through the process and tested all the components of the printer/scanner/fax. The printer can be connected to the computer either by USB connection, wired Ethernet or wireless connection. I set my printer up initially by wireless but switched over to Ethernet connection since I have a gigabit Ethernet router for my home network. Operation to date has been flawless. I like the way the printer can be controlled from the operator panel which means my PC does not have to by booted up to use the machine. The panel is in color which helps to see the icons and navigate through it and the functions screens are very intuitive. I've used all the functions on the printer several times now and I've been very happy with the results. I really like the sheet feeder for the scanner since I can put multiple sheets in to be scanned or faxed and the scanner does the rest. Single sheet or oversized scanning can be done as the sheet feed lifts up from the scanning surface and the machine automatically detects that the scan material is being manually placed. The scan quality is excellent and color reproduction of pictures and color documents is true to the originals. The fax works very well and can be controlled by the printer's control panel so the computer does not have to be on to fax. The only fault I found with the scanner/fax is the paper is a little difficult to remove from the feeder output. The paper lies flat in the depression under the sheet feeder which makes it difficult to get your finger under the paper so that it can be grasped for removing. This is a minor problem but I urge HP to look at fixing this. Print quality has been excellent both black and white and color. I really like the edge to edge printing for color photographs and the quality of pictures rivals that of the photo printers that can be used at retail stores. My wife loves the AirPrint capability and had no trouble establishing a connection between her iPad and the printer over our wireless network. The double-sided printing works flawlessly and the paper tray is easy to remove, fill and put back in the machine. Overall, the most impressive thing about this machine is how intuitive it is to use it. I had no problem at all with using all the features and so far have not even had to refer to any troubleshooting sections in the operator manual. The one caution I would give is that this is a big machine with dimensions of 22"x18"x14" and weighing about 20 lbs. The machine is meant for a small office so if you do not have a lot of desk space to hold this machine you need to look at a different model. For my needs it does a great job, has all the features my wife and I want and is easy to use. I very much recommend this machine.

We bought this All-in-One to replace another HP that we'd had for about 8 years and it finally stopped working. We read the reviews in Consumer Reports, and this printer had all the features we had previously, but in addition, it printed/scanned/copied faster and it was wireless. The price was around $100 which we couldn't believe for all the features it has. Got it home, had it connected and operating within 45 minutes (we're not very techie) and the directions were easy to follow with help easily accessed if we needed it (but we didn't). It works like a dream - excellent quality color and b/w copies.
