I replaced a previous model of the 8600 series due to the scan function not working properly. I bought the 8610 when it was on sale for $129 in early January, 2015. I have used it to copy, scan directly to my business computer (or to a USB thumb drive), and print articles from the Web. I have not used it to Fax, though it can do that, too. One reason I chose this machine is that it is very similar to other HP models I have owned, so it was easy to set up and start using very quickly. No new learning curve. I have noticed that it seems to print and scan at the same modest speed that the previous 8600 model did. I was hoping that as a new model, it might be a step above the 8600, and somewhat faster, but no. I suppose the new and significantly higher priced 8620 and 8630 models are faster, but I wasn't going to go for the $299 or $399 price tags. So, all in all, I am very satisfied with this 8610 model, especially at the great sale price of $129. If you need high speed, better check to see the print speeds of the other two models. I have had many HP printers over the last 10 years and think they are a good value. Of course, we do understand that HP (and other makers) make their money on ink, so as to keep printer prices very reasonable. HP inks are good quality, and I have heard too many stories about troubles with cheaper inks, so I stay with HP inks, too.

I was one who read a LOT of reviews on printers. This one stuck out as being a good buy for the price. I am in complete agreement that this is a great reasonably cost printer. The set up was super easy, the prints are fantastic and FAST. I hope the ink lasts as long as other reviewers have said. So far so good.

An excellent product for the money. I mainly print black docs but, the color is quite good (photo on glossy high quality paper). I use it wireless in my home network and print from various devices in various locations all over my house. Setup was quick and very simple. It's rather large and a little noisy but, that's OK. Ink use so far seems pretty light and print speed is very good.

As an all-in-one machine, this does everything well. The user interface is friendly, and it's faster than I'd expected for printing. The wireless feature is great, I can print from any mobile device with the HP app. The scanning is pretty slow, but it does give me the option to save the file as a .jpg or a .pdf and it automatically puts the file into My Documents. Overall, a great printer!

Bought this to replace an old 8600 series all in one. This one is much improved over the old one in the style department. Features and function are just as described. There is a lot of bloatware, but installation procedure does allow you to pick and choose. Print quality is excellent, scanning works great.

The setup was very easy and quick. I've had other HP wireless printers that had a much more complicated installation. The scanner and printer was the reason I purchased this unit. I don't plan on installing the FAX. The print quality is what you would expect from a top rated printer. Prints photos and envelops very easily. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this All in One.

Needed to replace an old printer - went for this one per the advice of a Best Buy online chat rep. Haven't been disappointed yet! Have successfully printed wirelessly from laptops and ipads! Loved being able to scan a document in and it wirelessly found my laptop and sent it to it! No cables or plugs to mess with! very impressed with the functions and the quality of the printer!

Very easy to set up and install. Love it. Print quality is great. Photos are perfect.Holds 250 sheets. Copies, scans and prints very fast. The price was very reasonable and the service at Best Buy was outstanding. I had researched online and knew this was the printer I wanted. The cost per printed item is very low. The ink cartridges are very easy to install. Overall this printer is a very good buy.

The printer was easy to set up, does great prints and has ink cartridge that prints a fair amount of prints. I use this printer wireless and connecting to the network was quick and have not had an issue with it being recognized by any of my devices.

Needed a new printer ASAP and this was a great buy. Wish they had the 8620 in stock since it had more features but this is no slacker by any means. Prints fast, even pictures and documents. Easy setup with just average skills. I always recommend people to buy refills with the printer since the ones that come with the machine are always half filled. But that is all printers. So save yourself another trip to Best buy and grab ink while you are there :)

The HP8610 has an ample sheet feeder, so I don't have to refill that often. The HP Scan program and sheet feeder are very good for scanning receipts, bills, etc for reducing cabinet space. Wireless has given me no issues, and it was easy to hook up to my network. I used a static IP so it would be more consistent on every computer in my house. Printing is very good for documents for both B&W and color.. I have not tried pictures, nor do I plan to.

Although the description above says my printer prints on two sides, that is not the case. That being said, it is fast and easy to use. The price was good as well. The instant ink feature is difficult to figure out. It leads you to the larger print volume and cost and does not show you how to find the cheaper one if you have chosen that one. Otherwise, I like my new printer.

This printer is a bit large for my home office, but it is worth giving up a little space for! Prints and copies so fast and the quality is great. Love the wireless capability; I can sit in the other room and print from my laptop. Set up was easy too.

I had been looking for a wireless printer for a while, but hadn't bought one because it was one of those things that would be a nice to have, but not necessary. My older one was perfectly good. Saw this one on clearance and couldn't pass it up. Easy set up, user friendly and now I can print from ANY device I own...phone, tablet, laptop and my 2 PCs. It is great!

I purchased this because I needed a fax machine. This is so much more, it faxes, print and scans. It's uber user friendly and does an excellent job with scans. I really like how it lets you crop your pictures and documents before you scan them

Bought this printer to replace my older HP, Although this one is a little larger than my old one, the features on this one make up for the size difference. This printer is quite fast and very easy to setup out of the box. Also HP customer support is outstanding when I had to use them for my old printer. If you don't mind the size this is a great printer.

I picked up the HP Officejet Pro 8610 all in one while on sale at Best Buy. I decided to buy a new printer so that my wife and daughter would not need to bother me all the time when they needed something printed. Set up was very easy. Even connecting to the wireless router. This unit does just about everything for you. It runs through the steps until it's ready. Set up on the computer is just as easy and has a connect website for easy setting changes, etc. The duplexing (double sided printing) is a great feature on this printer, although I would recommend not using heavy bond paper when doing this. The stiffer paper can twist sometimes when trying to draw back though. Still, this function works great. The wireless network connection is great too. You can set it anywhere within reach of an outlet and you're good to go. I have always had good luck with HP equipment and support, and this unit appears no different. Being an all in one, it is fairly bulky and will need substantial space, but if you have multiple computers that need access to a printer, along with fax, scan and copy, you can't go wrong here.

This printer was easy to set up & to operate. The two-sided printing option has come in handy many times. I have never installed or set up a printer before, and I had no problems at all! I don't have a phone line in the room where I put the printer so don't have the fax set up, but am very happy with the scanner, printing and copy features. Great value overall.
