Worked out of the box as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While it does have a large footprint and is heavy, compared to a lot of the smaller printers made by HP (Envy etc.), it certainly seems able to carry a heavy load and has large ink cartridges. It seems much more substantial than the Envy line. I didn't feel good about having to ditch my last HP printer when the print head went out given that the cost of the new print head was almost as much as I paid for this printer and would have been a roll of the dice in terms of whether it would have worked. It resulted in me having to throw out two boxes of each of the colors of ink for that printer and that is the second time I've had that experience with HP. Time will tell whether that's problematical with this printer. The cartridges are more expensive but they seem substantially larger.

Excellent multifunction machine

I'm continually impressed by its quality and versatility. My only complaint is that the setup instructions are scant and if you have limited experience then find help. There is no doubt however that this is a great machine that does what it is designed for.
