Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent print quality and ease of use of the Officejet Pro 8620. Many appreciate its wireless functionality and fast scanning capabilities, while some find the printer's size and paper tray design less convenient. The printer's noise level is also a point of concern for a few users. Overall, positive feedback on printing quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on size and noise.

We bought this printer for a great price during a flash sale. Top of the line air printer, excellent ink life! Most printers end up costing in ink about 7cents a page!! This one's ink life is less than a penny per print and prints up to 1500 sheets on one ink cartridge I believe. Easy to set up and use. Also can register for monthly endless ink remote on this printer, but for home use I don't think we'll need since prints so many pages on ink provided with printer.

I went in to Best Buy planning to spend way more on a replacement for my broken printer, but I didn't need to. This printer does it all - scan, fax, print and copy. Easy to use front panel, works wirelessly, even from my cell phone. Push a button on my phone and it prints my document or picture. Scan to email, scan right to my PC. Easy to set up, way better than my last printer at a fraction of the price. I have really been enjoying this printer.

i have had more printers that I can count and this is one of the better ones for the $$. Wireless works great and print quality is very good for an under $200 printer. Scan & copy features are a breeze to use and convert to mutiple formats. Haven't had to replace the cartridges yet (4 months) so that looks to be a big plus also.

Super simple setup and connection to local Wi-Fi; no problems having it work right out of the box. Print quality is very good for an ink-jet, and it seems to handle a wide variety of paper types easily. Two sided scanning and printing is a feature I like, and scanning to any of several computers on our local network simplifies use by the whole family. Should have bought this sooner.

I purchased this printer to replace an old OfficeJet 7310xi. This printer was much easier to setup and the print output along with the ink management have so far been impressive. The wireless capability with my entire line of Apple products also performs well with minimal setup.

HP Officejet Pro 8620 Easy to Setup

Purchased my HP 8620 from Bestbuy online. Easy to setup. I don't remember using any of the printed instructions that came with the printer in the box. Before I opened the box, watched a very informative Youtube video by HP from how to take the printer out of the box to connecting to the network. Network connections. I took a few tries but I got my Windows computer to print wirelessly. The easiest part was getting the fax to work. Even prints from my phone. I was surprised when visiting family began printing from their Mac computers, without using the setup disk. Print. Just has good as my HP CP2025. Cost. Final cost was one-fifth of my CP2025. I received a gift card and Bestbuy gave me an advertised discount even though I purchased the printer a day before the discount was announced. My experience with the printer and Bestbuy has been outstanding.

I was looking for an all-in-one with duplex printing in addition to my HP Photosmart. I was using the Photosmart for everyday printing. It prints great, but no duplex and no other functions, plus the ink smears on documents when wet. It does print excellent pics. I shopped around for a while. Having been very satisfied with HP, I narrowed it down to the 8000 series. The 8620 got good reviews, was worth paying extra from the 8610 (8620 has larger touch screen and legal size flatbed vs. letter only which is not mentioned in a lot of specs & reviews). I love the wireless feature. (I never did hook up the Photosmart as wireless.) It has to be turned on manually, would be nice for remote power. I haven't found where I can remotely turn it on. I will call HP about that. Overall I am satisfied with the speed, print results. I haven't scanned or copied yet. One thing I don't like is that when you print there's nothing to catch or stop it from flying off the printer. Best Buy had a great sale and bonuses when I bought this I could not pass it up.

Needed an printer/scanner for home office. This one provides ease of use as well as the wireless capabilities that multiple users can access without being tethered to the machine. If there is a downsize it's the overall size of the unit - as it does take up a chunk of real estate, but being wireless, I'm able to position it in an unused area - freeing up the desk.

Great printer for the money....easy to set up...it uses way less ink than my old printer. The cartridges also don't dry up if you don't use in awhile. Scans clear as well..

This HP printer is so much faster than my last HP printer. I disliked the other HP printer so much I was going to go with another brand. After intense research, the decision was to go with HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 even though the cost was more than I wanted to spend. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 prints fast, prints on both sides of the paper (after selecting the feature in Print menu) without any issues. I don't print pictures so I don't know the picture quality. I don't print a lot and haven't used much ink which is satisfying since ink cost a little bit more for the HP OfficeJet Pro. The paper tray is in a little awkard place (have to keep sliding the paper extension back and forth to get to the paper tray. The fax, scan and copy feature works perfectly. The setup was simple; I haven't tried the wireless feature (no need to at the present time). Overall, I feel I made a good choice!

Great combo printer for home & small office

This printer does it all: prints from cable or WiFi, FAX, scan to paper or PDF fairly rapidly, color or black & white, useful HP PRINTER ASSISTANT (download it ... not much comes in the box) software that easily tells you ink level & choose various functions. Will print directly from my iPad or iPhone via WiFi. It's 'fast enough' for small office use, but doesn't throw copies out like a big laser. The device itself is pretty big - make sure you have footprint space. Look on YouTube for videos about features of this device. You can ePrint from off site - but I chose NOT to put that on my machine. Personally, I think the 'Internet of Everything' idea is risky, and am not convinced there aren't security breaches to be discovered when ALL my data / purchasing etc. must go thru the Internet. I set my machine up for local in home use only.

Exceeding my expectations for ease of setup, ease of use, breadth and quality of features; depth of networked integration for wireless printing from laptops, tablets, and phones; wireless, one-step scanning = great all in one printer.

This printer is the best. It does everything I wanted. 2-sided copying was most important. The only thing I didn't realize was how large it is. But I still love my printer. Brought it home, hooked it up and it was working within minutes (once I downloaded the software to make it run using a computer that is brand new but does not work correctly). I have not tried to fax feature yet. It scans very nicely and you can do up to 8-1/2 by 14 pages on the scanner or printer. That was not why I wanted this printer. I wanted it for the 2 sided copying and I got such a deal on it that made me love it even more. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

I read multiple reviews on both laser and inkjet printers and settled on this one due to price, value and the ability to scan. Out of the box, this printer was easy to set up to my network. Printing is fast and crisp and it doesn't seem to use a lot of ink. I mostly do black and white but when I do use color, the images are impressive. The scanner portion is awesome as well. Not as fast as a snapscan but it scans my documents well and pretty quickly. I've already recommended this printer to friends and they love it too. My only concern is the cost of the ink. It's pricey so I may go aftermarket for that.

This all-in-one Prnter-Fax-Scanner-Copier that also has web capabilities does everything I need it to do and then some! I haven't even investigated the Web features yet. It's fast and efficient. If it was a bit quieter and smaller, it would be perfect! But for the price, you can't beat it!

Nice wireless printing from your mobile devices

Bought this printer to replace a Photosmart that died out with a printerhead issue. Not printing too many photos these days (and who really does), so this OfficeJet Pro is just fine if you mostly use for standard paper printouts, scans and faxing. Printing envelopes & photos will require swapping out paper from the tray, which is an extra step. The wireless ePrint feature is nice for printing from mobile devices from anywhere. One drawback of ePrint is needing to email the page(s) you want to the printer's address, so your printouts include an email header (To, from, etc) instead of just the document or target image itself. The printer itself is on the larger size if you have limited surface area on your desk. Other than these relatively minor drawbacks, overall a nice unit and well worth getting if you catch a sale below the $299 list price. (I actually caught a deal amounting to half that price considering a $50 trade-in offer for my "dead" printer)

This printer is turning out to be just what I need. Set-up on my main computer was a breeze. The prints are clear, the scanner is easy to use, and loading paper is simple. I did sign up for the automatic ink reorder plan, and the first cartridge arrived a few weeks ago, but I still do not need to change the cartridge to use the new one. I did have issues getting this wireless printer to work with my second computer, but I think that may be a problem in the computer. A geek-friend will be coming by soon to help me figure out what the glitch is. My previous printer was an HP Photo Smart. I do not have the same photo printing capabilities with this new printer, but otherwise, I am very happy with this new model.
