Don't get if you use MS Office at home

I picked up this unit to replace my trusty 8500 that suddenly died, but this one might be going back. Print quality, scanning etc are all great but.....HP has an acknowledged issue with printing from MS Office software. Word, Excel, Outlook, doesn't matter, it won't print. All you'll get it "Printer not ready" and they don't have a driver for Windows 7 or Windows 10 that will allow you to use this software. For now, definitely recommend staying away from this unit until HP can get their act together.

After not having success with the 8620 and a LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw and taking both back, I finally got the unit I wanted when ordering this model. Does everything I need, and very efficiently. It is rather big, but I have the room for it, so it's all good...

2nd Worst Printer I Have Ever Owned

Great features and print quality. Mostly. Unable to use the printer when low on a color without having to interact with a warning that is trying to get me to buy more ink.
But the real problem is how much ink it goes through. We rarely print in color. It would be a maximum of one line of text every few days. Yet it runs out of color ink within a couple months, and surprise, they all run out at the same time. Once I put in a new one, suddenly they all need to be changed.
Another major issue is once you have caved in and replaced them, you get incessant pop-ups giving you "rewards" which are merely the opportunity to buy more products. I seriously HATE this printer.

I was a little put off by the Instant Ink with the thought that big brother HP was monitoring my printer via the web. The ink cartridges are way over priced so I purchased remanufactured HP cartridges and declined the instant ink. This printer will lock you completely out of printing unless you purchase a HP cartridge. Taking away consumer choice via their software reflects what HP is really selling- their over priced ink cartridges.

This is my second HP printer and I have the same issues. It just wants to work when it wants to work. Time is money and I have lost many hours playing technician keeping it running. I finally pulled the plug and put it in E-waste and I feel good. Never will I purchase an HP product again. Sorry HP but I never have any trouble with my Brother in the office. So that's what's coming into my home tomorrow via Best Buy.
