After a couple of days of struggling with the software I am very happy with this printer. Please understand that I've been doing this stuff since 1991 so I have plenty of experience. I had to uninstall and re-install the driver package twice before everything worked as it should. But now all is well. The printer is installed on my home network via WiFi. Photo printing is fine for normal use, but not museum quality. The scanner works like a charm. I haven't set up the fax utility. Might do down the line.

It was very easy to set up and the instaink is convenient. Color is clear and print quality is also good.

This printer is larger than I would like but it does everything in need and does it well. It is quite noisy but a great value.

So far so good. I only use printer for home use but prints quickly and no problems. Set up was easy.

Easy to setup, workhorse: My only complaint is the size. But for everything it does, it equals out.

easy to set up / fast printing / very good on black / color printing. no issue so far, only con is this unit is LARGE better have space for this one, also it a very good thing to have the extra warranty any issue i deal with best buy and not the long wait on the phone with hp. and less worry as well. very happy with my unit!! thank best buy

We were looking for a high-quality printer, yet not too expensive, with relatively low cost for printer ink. This printer was #1-rated by Wirecutter (https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-all-in-one-printer/) and does everything we need, including 2-sided printing, copying, scanning, and faxing -- although so far we've only printed. The printer was easy to set up with both our Macs, and we even printed directly from an iPad without any setup. Printing is much faster than with our previous printer, an HP OfficeJet 6500. This printer is big enough that it looks more like an office printer, but it has close to the same footprint as our previous printer, and in the black color and tucked away it doesn't dominate our small home study. For us, the size is worth the trade-off for the functionality.

Looked at several HP printers at Best Buy and for what each offered this was the best deal. WI-FI setup was very easy and I love the amount of paper you can load and the way it feeds completed printouts, no papers will be flipped on the floor if you are not there to watch. It is a little on the large size but all in all I would rate it a 10 !! I have used HP instant Ink and this came with a seven month free supply.

I've only had it a little while, but I love how it works. Easy to set up, prints 2 sided, faxes, and scans. Hopefully it will last a long time. My last printer which was a different brand, only lasted 2 years. This one is so easy to work and is wireless to boot!

Bought an Epson WorkForce WF-3720 a little over a year ago, and have hated it from day 1. It used a lot of ink, sent through multiple pages, or would not work at all without messing with it. Finally had enough & bought a new printer even though the old still worked. Researched & bought the HP Officejet Pro 8720, and what a difference! It just feels more sturdy, and was a breeze to set up. Have only had it about a month, but so far, we are very pleased with our choice. Even though it has been used quite a bit while preparing taxes, the ink usage is negligible (the Epson would have probably run out once again), and it has worked flawlessly. Absolutely love it!!

My bf bought me this printer on Black Friday, and Maria V. helped us with our sales. The first time we saw her that night, we asked her to do some price checks for us (even though Black Friday was crazy!!). Then, she rang us up on some usb's and SD cards. SUPER NICE and quick! We were walking out when we saw a printer (I've been needing one for my classroom), and we decided to get it since the deal was just too good to pass. When we came around again, she remembered us and was so enthusiastic and kind. I mean, she worked all day, it was almost 1am, and yet she still had the BRIGHTEST smile and FRIENDLIEST attitude. ON BLACK FRIDAY. I mean...how do you beat that? Jayson was also so helpful and cool when he came by to help with a price check for us on the printer. I guess the system didn't have the same sale on the floor, but he was AWESOME. He wasn't even irritated or impatient even though it was late. Gah...so NICEEEE!! Overall, my boyfriend and I were all smiles because of the BEST customer service we have ever experienced on such a hectic day. Seriously, Best Buy, Maria V. is absolutely amazing. She made our day with her customer service. I give my kids candy for helping out around the class all the time; is there something you can do for her all the time since she is so awesome all the time????? :) THANKS, MARIA AND JAYSON (but Maria more because she's cooler tehe! )

This is one fast printer. I like also the ease of setting this up on my WIFI.

I previously purchased the 8710 a few years ago for my wife, then just purchased this 8720 for my home office. I have to say I like the 8720 much better as it has the lower tray for 8 1/2 x 14 paper that fits better then the 8710. On the 8710 the tray hangs out not closing all the way when you have to load the 8 1/2 x 14 paper. I would recommend the 8720 for sure.

I read some negative reviews about this printer, most of which dealt with initial setup and the printer going into sleep mode and not responding to computer inputs. I decided to try this printer, having found a great sale price on it, and did not encounter any of the issues mentioned above. Setup was simple, the printer did most of it all on it's own, and I haven't had any issues with it. It wakes up from sleep mode as it should, the menu is easy to read and use, and what copies and scans I have done are clear and fast enough for my home use. Printing is faster that what I was used to but I haven't tracked ink consumption yet. I haven't faxed from it yet either. Overall I'm pleased with this printer. It replaced an Epson 3640 which turned out to be junk in my opinion. Hopefully this HP will last longer that it did.

Just purchased this printer for my son based upon my experience with an earlier version of this printer. Have yet to have a breakdown, almost no paper jams and those are relatively easy to fix. Prints, copies fast enough for family needs, durable construction, larger paper supply tray reduces annoying out of paper errors. High quality photos produced

I had the HP 8710 for a number of years and it finally died on me. I needed as printer and wanted to stay with the quality of the HP printer. When I saw the 8720 I knew that was all the printer I would need because it could do all I needed to do. It copies,prints,faxes, scans, and sends things to email when you need to. I've been using it for a while now and am very pleased with it, The first time I used it and saw the paper come out of the bottom into the tray it was different. I'm glad I purchased this printer. If you are in need of a printer the HP 8720 is the one you will need.

I haven't bought a printer in a while. It was time to replace my old one due to an ink leak (hp 8700 series). I saw this printer in the middle of the main floor area and the price was right where I wanted to spend. I like how you can print directly from your phone anywhere. the touch screen was nice and big. it was user friendly and easy to set up. so far i am happy with my purchase.

The set up took minutes and was easy, even for a novice. Print quality is very good!

My prior HP printer was long in the tooth and just failed to work the way it should any longer. My wife didn't want to get another HP due to problems with the prior model, we opted for an Epson WorkForce printer, while it was great initially it failed after 6 months. Epson support offered a brand new replacement shipped directly from Epson at no cost and no return needed. I think I know why, that model failed as well after 6 months. So I went to Best Buy and looked at printers again and ran into a very helpful HP representative working there that weekend. I discussed what I needed the printer for and my prior experiences. He recommended the HP model I have today. I can say finally an HP printer worth buying. Easy to install ink cartridges, email to print technology, easy setup with out tons of software just use the easy install app and voila your done. Crisp, clear and clean printing in color and b&w. My wife is very happy with it and she prints a lot.
