Pros: great build quality, intuitive menu, 2 trays for different types of paper, fast scanning Cons: huge size/cumbersome, must be on stable surface or it will shake the table, confusing initial setup

Easy to set up. It is a rather large and bulky printer with nondescript styling, but functionality is first rate. We ordered this with a second paper supply drawer and this may have contributed to the large size. Print quality is excellent as is reliability. Would have liked a single page feed. An excellent printer at a fair price.

Great printer. Very easy to set up. Very quite, especially when on quite mode. Quick set up on all my computers and laptops in the house. Love having the double trays so I can have both letter and legal paper in the printer all the time.

We were looking for a new HP printer. The HP rep happened to be at the store and recommended the 8740 over the one we were looking at because of more features and great discounts. We have been impressed with the functionality with our computers and smart phones. Pictures and documents are near lazer jet quality. We also subscribed to HP ‘s “instant ink” and don’t have to worry about running out of ink!

Unfortunately received a defective unit on the 1st try but Best Buy's fabulous customer service swapped it out for a new one (lightning fast). Love the 2 paper trays. It does everything very well. I just wish it would save fax images to a hard drive.

Since we got the printer things are looking up. Quick. Easy. Copy ,scaning are easy. Air printing is a terrific addition.

I purchased this for my business printing needs and it has performed flawlessly since I purchased it over 6 months ago now. Such an easy setup process and the ability to print by emailing documents to the printer has been great. It interfaces with all my devices and just plain works. Great printer. Highly recommended.

Homework to Self-Employed to Clubs.... This printer is TOP quality! It replaced an older model. I followed all the online prompts - it almost installed by itself! (or use enclosed CD software). AWESOME! Quality Output and FAST! AND... I joined the 'Print Club' to get extra savings. WOW... just WOW! ps... always get extended warranty.

I had to finally call the Geek Squad to set up this printer. Never have I had such a hard time. Also it loses WIFI and I have to turn off and turn back on if I turn off my laptop. It does have superb print quality and it easier to scan than previous model. Like the output tray that does not push out but rather in so easier to secure.

Finally got my new printer set up - it is the most awesome HP printer I have ever had.. Much quieter than the last one I had. It even has the 2 paper trays set up to print either regular size paper and also legal sized printer. I also have the ability to send pdfs of my scan to my desktop computer - just LOVE it. You won't be disappointed with this printer!

Great small business printer. Functions well wirelessly and the print quality is very good. Works well with both Mac and PC environments.

Use for my home based business, we have 2 laptops that also connect to it wirelessly plus I can print form my phone. Also print my own brochures and does great job.
