Great Laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a computer with discrete graphics to play starcraft 2. It works great for it. all the reviews around the pros and cons of this machine are accurate Pros + works great out of the box + blazing fast and smooth + Screen refresh rate is smooth + this is definitely a gaming laptop ( SSD + Optane + Memory + Core I7 cache + CPU ) Cons - top of the laptop is flimsy ( not probably reliably portable in the long run ) - the keyboard keys are just a bit jittered with the mouse. not ideal for typing

Omen 15 Goodness
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit it, I am a very picky consumer. When I shop for a laptop I do more than just research them. I analyze their build quality, their features and durability. After owning several top brands I found this gem tucked away in the open box bin at a local Best Buy. When I opened it up to look at it, I determined right away it was well taken care of. This laptop sports the i7 10th Gen cpu and a full Nividia RTX 2060 with GSync. The 100% SRGB non touch screen is rocking a 300hz refresh rate. This is a gamers dream! Fast response times with less than 4ms of latency. Build quality is top notch on this. There is a gap between the keyboard and screen. This is done by design for airflow. Yes the screen will flex a bit if you grab it however most users are not in the habit of flexing the screens in all sorts of weird positions so rest easy my gamer friends! Access to the internals is a breeze. Remove the 8 phillips head screws on the bottom and gently pry the bottom panel loose. The SSD Storage, memory and wifi card are all upgradable. - Note the Raid 0 configuration utilizing the 2 x M.2 slots is only configurable at the factory. I have not figured out a way to enable it yet. Thanks HP for locking this feature so we cannot do it ourselves. Small caveat however don't let this deter you from enjoying many hours of pristine gaming on this beauty :-)

Absolute beast of a Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is an amazing machine. It has handled everything I have thrown at it with no glitches. The screen is great, the sound is great, and the fan noise is very low for the performance. Reading other reviews I expected the fan noise to be close to an old box fan running but it is quiet. The HP Omen command center is easy to use and it is not loaded with bloatware like some HP products I have had in the past. Overall this is the best performing PC I have had the pleasure of owning.

Great Device, No Extras
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is amazing, and will run any current game out there! I have used it for numerous online conferences, gaming and streaming session with no data loss. It does get a bit noisy when pushed to its limits, but it does not overheat. I dropped a star because it did not qualify for the Nvidia promotion despite having a qualifying graphics card. After numerous calls to nVidia, HP, and Best Buy, the simple answer was "not gonna happen." Minus that one gripe, the laptop runs beautifully! I'd highly recommend it!

Great gaming/work laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Huge step up from the older omen series. This model has a powerful i7 and the 2060 is more preferred than the comparable 2070 max q. The fans are a bit loud, however I expect this with a gaming laptop. The hp omen center has many controls. You can even undervolt to help with cooling. The rgb keys are split into 4 zones for color changing. The display is comparable to what I've seen on 2k laptops.

HP Omen brings performance
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent gaming class machine from HP here. Screen and keyboard layout are great, sound works well. Have been able to play a lot of different titles on this machine and it just keeps going. Added light customization for the keyboard. All around a great deal and solid performance.

What a great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GREAT LAPTOP! I purchased this at the end of 2020, an early birthday gift to myself. I was hesitant in picking up the HP Omen 15, but I am glad I did. From boot to desktop, it takes 30 seconds. And that includes apps that I have auto-booting from the Startup folder (Outlook). I do miss the extended keys on the side especially when I am working with Excel sheets, but I can always use my wireless keyboard. The graphics are great and really notice the difference when editing and saving videos in Adobe Premiere Elements. Years ago (20), I shied away from HP computers and laptops (but always had an HP printer) because they were not built for quality. This laptop has changed my mind. 16 gig of memory allows me to run multiple programs with out it slowing down and the 10-gen i7 10750H processor makes it blazingly fast. What a great gaming laptop. Runs my old Doom 3 games and Fallout. I really notice the graphics when playing Atlantica Online, no stutters or lag. HP Omen 15, Intel i7 (10th Gen), GeForce RTX 2060, 512 ssd w/ 32 gig optane.

Great laptop - problem overheating
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many things I love about this laptop. It's super fast, the graphics are amazing, the keyboard lights up, it's beautiful. One issue is that is overheats even with the fan. I had to change it so the graphics weren't set at the max level so it didn't make the laptop overheat. In reading about it, it seems like a common problem.

Great laptop for a good price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very impressed by this laptop. I play Apex Legends on it frequently. The screen is beat and the performance is great. I added an addition 1TB NVME SSD and that gets it to be pretty much perfect for me. The screen panel is pretty flimsy but the screen it’s self is great. I can’t complain about this laptop.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is super fast compared to what I had before. The graphics are great. Not only is it good for gaming, but it is awesome for constructing three demential projects and watching them come to life on such a crisp screen.

Great for high FPS games! Love it!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been absolutely amazing! I can’t talk much about the battery since I’m normally using it while plugged in for a better gaming performance experience. As far as the laptop goes for gaming (which is the only reason why I bought this laptop) it does really wel with high FPS games. I was scared that it wouldn’t do well being that it was a cheaper 240 FPS laptop (although it’s really not cheap) but it actually holds up like a top tier gaming laptop. The screen is small but you can always plug it in to a bigger screen if you’re not on the go with it all the time. Would strongly recommend it. I play Fortnite on this laptop so if you know, you know it requires good frames :)

Good Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphic card is a deal. Laptop is sleek. I use very heavy architects software, it handles them perfectly. The fan keeps ON sometimes even without heavy usage. Battery life is not so great.

Great deal for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased an open box certified 1 year ago. For the price tag, this thing offers amazing power. I'm a gamer so I need a cool system with robust graphics and this thing did the job pretty well. Omen allowed me to undervolt my cpu for a bit better temperature management so there wasn't too much thermal throttling. I play on low settings so Modern Warfare ran around 120-130 frames usually which was enough for me even though my monitor was 165 hz. I added another ssd since there was an empty slot and changed the thermal paste on the cpu. Super easy to do cause of internals. No problems at all with this laptop so it will work flawlessly; just make sure you're okay with the specs.

Fast Gaming Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned a 17" gaming laptop(due to overheating and random blue screen issues), and got this laptop as recommended by a Best Buy associate. Best recommendation I received! The laptop runs flawlessly and very cool, even on a current title on ultra settings. I haven't had an issues, and it has an HP Omen command center to where you can adjust the lighting, performance, battery, etc. The resolution is very crisp, and smooth with the 300hz screen. This model has a 512 GB SSD with 32GB hard drive, but I also purchased an additional 1TB SSD. The install for the extra storage space was a breeze. Just look on YouTube to learn how to format it after the install(very easy as well). Overall, this is a great gaming laptop, that has many features and is very light. Highly recommended!

Powerful set up for any gaming use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought to use the Quest , super powerful with a vivid image and fast computing powers , but the screen is incredibly flimsy and feels too fragile , also the battery runs super hot while charging . Battery life is terrible as well.

The best all round laptop you can ever buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely one of the best machines I ever purchased. Used this for two days and all I can say is that HP finally made something excellent. Here are some specs you get for the price tag:- - 10th gen i7 - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512 GB SSD and 16 GB Optane - Ability to change the backlit keyboard to any color - The professional look of the laptop. So it does not look like a teenage machine if you work - Excellent machine if you need for anything that needs resources other gaming - The omen logo is very crisp and professional Cons: - Battery could have been slightly better

Great performance, but high pitched fans
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop performs excellently for the price, looks good, and has a great screen. Unfortunately, the fans produced a quiet but persistent high pitched noise alongside the normal fan sound. It gave me a headache whenever I used it without headphones and background noise. They would also randomly amp to full speed when such was not needed. I probably got a lemon- but if you don't, you will be quite happy with it.

300hz ...Expectations exceeded
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because I also own a 165hz monitor and custom built PC with 2060 super, I was not expecting to see better performance out of a laptop because they are engineered for lower power comsumption and thermals. I underestimated 300hz display with 1ms reaction time. Because of how great this display is, it makes it seem like it gets better frames than it actually does. I get about 100fps on my PC, and about 75fps on the OMEN, but it looks so much better on on the OMEN. Now I want to get a 300hz monitor and I am realizing that at as I write this review, they don't make them? The closest thing is over $1000. Conclusion: the value in this laptop is off the charts. Great build.
