My previous laptop from a different brand had similar specs but a manufacturing flaw that led to breakage despite light use, so I was in the market for something sturdy and reliable to replace it. Good resolution and nice, clear graphics, solid keyboard and overall design. Fair memory, easy to set up, customize, and transfer all my games and files over from my old laptop. Well worth what I paid, I've been getting more use out of this one and haven't had any issues.

This model of the Omen lives up to it's value and exceeded my expectations in several regards. Very few spots have any lag, and even then it's usually the Internet's end. Every Steam game I have played on it ran smoothly with no issues. The only downside is that the fan is a little loud when it does run, but it is not too distracting. Overall, this is a solid product from HP and is well worth the price.

I'm very happy with the laptop. Don't expect it to keep up with gaming desktops as laptops are limited by their size and available hardware. I was looking for a new work laptop and wanted to be able to run some games as well. I can run most steam games on ultra settings and sat above 30fps.

I bought this laptop for gaming and schoolwork and it can easily handle both! The processing power is amazing! Highly recommended!

Both of my kids got the computer and they luv it. Well not at first. Had issued starting up otherwise it work awesome

This is a great computer. It handles everyday tasks very smoothly and fast. I installed a SSD I purchased from Amazon immediately after the purchase and also another 8 GB ram. It was very easy after watching a few youtube videos on how to do it. It will boot or restart now in under a minute or so which is really nice. The B & O audio is excellent also if you connect to external speakers. I have logitech speakers with subwoofer, and after figuring out how to open the equalizer that comes installed and doing a little tweaking it sounds really good. I don't do much gaming on it as I have consoles for that, but I wanted a machine that was fast and handled heat well. I have had heat issues with two previous laptops and was sick of it. This thing runs super cool while my other laptop right beside this one is red hot all the time. The fans are pretty quiet too. The only negatives I can say is that the display could be a little better, there is some light bleeding when you display dark colors on it. And Windows 10 is a little glitchy, but that isn't any fault of HP that's on Microsoft. HP's website is great for reinstalling drivers and such if you want to migrate your OS to SSD drive as I did.

After purchasing this deathtrap it was quickly apparent that this was not the computer for me . After a week the motherboard melted down

At the price point of 750$ i couldnt pass this up. Been using pc now for about a couple days, downloaded call of duty infinite warfare on it plays great, stays cool. will also be using for graphic design, couldnt be more happy. this is coming from someone who hasnt had a new laptop since 2008. Will also be putting m.2 sata card in it to really max out on the speed. if your thinking about buying, just buy, cant beat for price. also if you compare to the others on the site. the hp omen only comes with 128GB ssd for extra 100$ when you can buy new samsung evo 850 ssd 500GB m.2 for 160$ once again very satisfied
