Overall a great looking and performing laptop. Obviously not top of the line for specs, but plays everything very well at 2K. Frame rates are good on almost every game I have thrown at it. It can get a little warm but I like the side vent exhausts over the usual back exhaust vents. Fans will get loud when you turn on performance mode but with the use of headphones you can hear them anyway and it helps it dissipate heat much better.

This thing is awesome! Bought these for my teenage kids and they love them. The game play speed and graphics are pretty amazing especially for this price point! Cooling system works great as well. Highly recommended.

Brought as a gift, good so far - nice graphics and sound and it has held up well for all the games my brother plays. Does seem to heat up easily and the battery life isn’t great when not plugged in but I’ve been told this is standard for gaming laptops

My son was super-excited to get this laptop to upgrade his one from 5+ years ago. 1TB SSD is plenty of space, but we still brought over his expansion SSD from the old laptop to the new one since it has a second slot. Graphics card is really nice, and everything runs much smoother now.

It performs really well its helped me finish assignments faster than i used to since loading times are non existent and the screen quality is really good for the price in my opinion

It runs games great looks amazing connects easily no major issues only slight issue is the battery

I use progressive leashing to get this and I’m very happy with it. I got it to pla Jurassic world 3 and it seems to play really good. I did notice it was making a lot of clicking noises though when I turned it on and played games and I tried to exchange but Best Buy canceled the replacement! The clicking stopped but I hope it’s not a real issue. I feel like the battery lasts a hour if it’s not plugged in maybe 2 if I’m gaming. Which is what I got it for. Display looks nice. The light up keyboard is cool.

The laptop has sufficient ram and hard drive for any job. The processor is very quick.

Running well. Havent used it to much yet but no issues so far. Battery seems to drain quickly

I was looking for good desktop replacement with integrated NVIDIA card. This laptop serves that purpose. As additional advantage it has some room for expansion - for RAM and SSD.

Exactly what I wanted with a gaming laptop. Very fast and has the able to hook up to ethernet. I love this laptop and it stays cools the entire time I am playing.

It’s a great all-around gaming notebook for most users and delivers noticeable value at its price point. If your priorities are battery life or ultra-premium materials, those are the only real downsides — but for raw performance and smooth gameplay, it stands out.

I bought this for my son (Mechanical Engineering student at University of Illinois). I convinced him that he needed at least 16" of viewable real estate for multitasking, and 14-cores for advanced simulation and Monte Carlo modeling. He also games with it. Ultimately, his professor told him he should thank his dad for getting him such a fine machine.

HP Omen 2k is great for gaming while traveling. You can tell the difference of 144Hz v.s. regular 60Hz. But make sure you have it plugged in, otherwise the CPU will run at a much lower frequency.
