Awsome speed

Very good machine

I set it up for him and found it to be a very fast machine. I like the hybrid drive as it affords quick start up/reboots and definitely adds to the overall performance of the computer. The graphics are very good, too.

Fast. every now and then the sound will cut in and out but all i do i close out the program im listening to and its it works just fine after that. Great screen resolution. And fast gaming able to bluetooth with my beats headphones too

First impression wasn't great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop and when i opened it up it looked nice. Powered on ok then i started looking at the nvidia setup and it didn't seem to play well with the HP. Shadowplay wouldn't work. I updated the nvidia geforce experience app and the driver and install failed. I also downloaded jing, a recording app and it acted jenky. I decided to return it for an asus or msi unit but decided to do a system restore. afterwards everything worked fine and a few pesky add-on programs weren't there as well. The price won out at $849, which is about $350 less than the Asus or MSI units I looked at so it's now at home on my computer desk. also, i peeked inside to find that it has an empty memory slot for easy upgrade and also has the M.2 PCie slot. I will probably just swap out the HD for an SSD though. So after a little rework, I'm very happy with the product.
