Going into BestBuy, I had 1 PC from CyberPowerPC that i’ve been wanting to purchase in my mind. They didn’t have it in stock so we found an alternative PC, which was this Omen PC, it had better parts and a great price. Although this was open box, it had no damages and the worker there put the discount to $1000 FLAT! This was a steal! I mainly play competitive Fortnite and my FPS was a consistent 160+ on competitive settings. I also play Valorant and on high settings this gets 240FPS capped. I am beyond excited for what this PC can do for me in the future!

Great Starter PC for Gaming

I'll start by saying I am a HUGE newb to PC gaming. So, take everything I say from the perspective that I know absolutely nothing about PC's and how they should generally operate and function. With that out of the way lets start with the positives:
First off, this PC runs mostly everything I have played so far very well. Great fps on Guild Wars 2, Heroes of the Storm, XCOM 2 ect. It looks great which is a plus, its relatively quiet. Although, I do keep the fans on turbo mode which is a great segway into the negatives.
This thing gets crazy hot. Like, 85 degrees most times. I've already installed some fans and taken off the side panel to help. That lowered the cpu temps by 5-6 degrees. But, ultimately, I replaced the cpu cooler for an ID-cooling SE-224-XT and the cpu temps are like 55-60 degrees which is far more acceptable. However, the gpu has started to 'whine'. After some research this apparently just...happens and cannot be fixed under most circumstances. It generally dosent bother me but I've noticed ever since that happened I have some really annoying input lag. Like .5 second lag when casting spells for example. Which didn't happen at all no matter how hot the CPU got. So, idk. I have many friends helping me with these issues so hopefully the lag and maybe even the 'whine' will resolve over time. If they do I will come back and make some edits to this review.
Overall, I love it. It's affordable and a great start into the realm of PC gaming. I would NOT suggest this for some pro gamers/PC master-race gamers. This is for people like me who just want decent graphics with good frame rates.

Great mid-range PC. Purchased for $950, can't beat this PC for under $1000. The only thing holding this system back is the RTX 2060 which don't get me wrong is a good GPU but if you want to game on a 1440p monitor like I do, don't expect frame rates greater than 90. The desktop is easily upgradeable and I plan on purchasing an RTX 3060ti when ever they are readily available on Bestbuy.com

Lets just get right to the point. Youll get high frames, games will look good, and there is room to upgrade.
only cons ive found in the weeks ive had it is the temp, and that the mobo only has two ram slots.
2 ram slots is enough, but it would be nice to have more, like I said though there is room to upgrade. Now the temps are a different story. Get new fans is all i can say, the temps arent bad, but it runs pretty hot. I would only suggest getting new fans or a LC for your cpu. Airflow is not the best, that said, you wont regret buying the pc. Not much bloatware on it either, and you can get rid of what little it did come with. Good buy!

Has some heating issues. I believe the stock Cooler came mounted on the CPU with dried thermal paste. Currently as a temporary fix, I'm underclocking the CPU by reducing the voltage using AMD's Ryzen Master software. This has effectively stopped the CPU from reaching anywhere near 85C, which is typically what it would heat up to under a moderate load. Now the CPU stays around 70C when gaming and around 45-55C when idling. The GPU also lacks a back-plate, but that's an aesthetic issue that's easily resolved. Overall as my first true gaming PC this thing is an absolute beast. It can run anything I throw at it when using my 1080p monitor, even cyberpunk at high preset settings. Overall I would say this is a pretty solid build for the price, especially with the Cyber Monday deal that reduced the price to 950.

I got this computer on sale from $1249 to $949, and man what a deal. This computer was so easy to set up! I plugged it in to the wall and monitor, plugged in my mouse and keyboard, and it was good to go. I haven't tried any heavy games yet, but apps like steam and discord boot up really quick. This thing is quiet, too. Playing a rhythm game, I couldn't hear a thing from the fans. The lighting is awesome, and the whole thing is compact and sleek. If you're looking for a somewhat cheaper yet speedy pc (especially for pc newcomers), I recommend checking this one out!

This is sold as a beginners' "gamers" computer, but it is great for everyday use and is reasonably priced. The RTX 2060 video card (6GB Graphics RAM) by nVidia is perfect for the configuration. The video outputs of DVI for older monitors and the newer HDMI and Display Port outputs for modern monitors give the user full connection options. I did remove the 16GB of system memory (RAM) (2x8), and upgraded to 32GB of memory (RAM) (2x16), and using the computer's slide off cover, it was super easy and the upgrade worked fine. I did a BIOS upgrade (flashing the ROM) and that was successful. If there was one feature that would have been a bit better it would be that the computer came with a 500GB SSD (C drive), instead of the smaller 256GB SSD, for possible future additional program installations.

I bought this a few weeks ago, finally set it up, so far from what I can say, not bad, this machine is fast, graphics are awesome on some games I have installed. The RGB lights are nice, even though I don’t use them all the time. Easily upgradable, in which I will be swapping out the power supply for more power. Overall a great computer!

I have seen multiple reviews mentioning issues with the lighting control, but I have yet to experience it. I am basically using this as a steam machine to my TV, so I have turned off all of the lights for a darker environment.
It does only have 2 RAM slots, both used with 8gig sticks, so that will be an upgrade cost if you want to run as efficiently as possible.
If you're looking to upgrade the graphics card in the future, you'll have to also upgrade the power source in this guy.
My biggest complaint is the need for countless updates out of the box for Windows as well as some of the drivers. I would recommend going to the HP website to do the driver downloads as easily as possible.
Overall, this guy runs all of my games well and gave me the ability to play more than I was capable of before. It's a decent value when you compare the specs with doing your own custom build.

Right out of the box had power issues. but I replaced the power supply and have had no issues since. Its amazing speed and performance-wise. EPIC settings 100-160 fps low settings well over 500fps. This thing is a beast. I only knocked it down a star because I shouldn't have to buy a new power supply on a new computer.

Specs for the money is pretty good for a great starter pre-built pc. I do recomend.
Only negative issue that cost it a star: Take note that the HP Omen gaming PC have some kind of coded RAM that doesn't allow you to just swap out ram sticks and expect full advertised ram. HP decided to lock the bios and try to force you to buy overpriced RAM through them. My advice is to buy yours with enough RAM for you to begirecommend.
-Minor issue but easily fixed: The stock cpu cooler is a bit underwhelming but will get you by its commonly recommend upgrading this at some point to help with cpu Temps.
Pros:
-Pretty much EVERYTHING other than ram is upgradable without issue.
-All black theme is nice and clean.
-RGB has multi zone customization. (To get true red and various other colors you have to use the ADVANCED setting to manually set the RGB as half of the preset colors are actually off hue... (i.e. preset red looks almost pink but Advanced set 50/0/0 looks red)
-Overall specs are great for a starter gaming PC
I'll update with various games FPS once I have that info:
Skyrim SE (ultra settings: solid 60 fps (fps is capped on this game))
-Plenty of online videos upgrading this specific case series making this a great beginners PC not comfortable building their first full pc but want to learn to upgrade them over time.
-Caught this on Black Friday weekend sale for a great price for the hardware specs included without the hassle/stress/delays of building a similar rig
-Prewired extra hard drive bay (all wiring is black to fit the case theme)
Not really a big concern but just be aware the include mouse and keyboard are extremely cheap.

This is the first gaming PC I've bought and so far so good. It plays all of my racing sims (Assetto Corsa, PC2, RRE) with all of the graphics set to their highest and averages around 60fp. I love that it has a sleek and understated look it. It is fairly quiet in my opinion. Wish I had a largerr SSD memory, but that can easily be changed I hear. Also everything seem to be put together solidly. As recommended I check out the insides to make sure there were no loose components and connectors. For my needs the keyboard is fine.

My 6 year old PC was on it's last legs, so an update was needed. The HP Omen was just the one I needed. Performance after a month has been great, and the look of it is fantastic with the side glass and LED lighting.
The only downside I find is the pitifully small hard drives that came with the machine. Fortunately, it is exceedingly easy to replace the HDD (and install a second storage drive) and relatively easy to clone and swap out the SSD. Before I even started, I replaced them with two 4TB HDDs and a 1TB SSD.
One thing to note, in the Q&A section HP support consistently states this PC has space for 2 HDDs, and 2 SSDs. It is correct that two disk drives can be installed, but the motherboard is a Moria 3 and only has ONE SSD slot. In order to replace the SSD with a larger one, it will require an external enclosure.
Beyond that, I am extremely satisfied with this machine.

The pictures dont do the case justice. its really slick looking and very solid. i like the push button side cover release instead of screws. the OMEN gaming app that allows you to adjust all the lighting colors/funtions, fan speeds etc. is cool too.
The CPU cooler and rear case fan looks like something you would have gotten boxed in a CPU from 2014 and the rear case fan looks to be a 92mm instead of a 120mm and isnt RGB. kinda makes a bland looking interior were it not for the RGB lighting and RGB memory.
Overall the PC runs smoothly, fans are relatively quiet given that there is only 3 in the entire system. dont expect to add any type of expansion cards as this is some weird HP OEM oversized ITX board with only 1 PCIe slot for the GPU even though the case clearly has two extra rear slots. it does have built in WiFi at least. The SSD is an M.2 made by western digital. memory is HyperX. the GPU appear to be a reference nvidia card. the PSU is a pretty bare bones 400W non modular.
the included mouse and keyboard barely pass as useable for browsing the internet so if you plan on gaming throw them in the trash and buy something else.
Decent entry level rig for 1080p gaming.

Don't know if how accurate this review is because i did buy an open box version of this product(with moderate side damage). Even then this has been a very great product in my opinion. The design is my favorite its very simple and I can customize it if I want(most likely wont). THE ONE PROBLEM, The average temperature when playing big games at ultra graphics is 78*C. It has gotten up to 85*C when recording and playing some VR games. But everywhere i look says this is normal, but still feels I should point that out.

Don't let the fact that they call it a "gaming desktop" dissuade you from getting it. If you need a computer for video/photo editing, 3d animation and other things like that, this can handle software for those things pretty well. At this point, the only thing a more expensive computer can do is speed up your work. If you're a beginner/intermediate, that's not too necessary. For gaming, I was able to run Destiny 2 at max graphics and I had no problems at all. I definitely recommend this computer.

I'm not a 'gamer' but but I wanted to upgrade my 5-year old desktop computer with a better GPU and CPU! I swapped the two 8MB DIMMS out for two 16MB DIMMS and it was absolutely painless. The lighting effects are interesting and they add to the aesthetics of the computer.
I've had a few glitches since bringing it online but things seem to have leveled out now. It's an absolute bargain, considering all of the specs. (The keyboard and mouse aren't as good as the computer itself but that was expected.)

Really great machine with great specs for the price. The 3700x seems to run a little hotter than I was expecting, but it seems to be common with the processor. That being said, a liquid cooler may be something to look into upgrading to in the future. The case looks gorgeous and the lighting is a nice touch. I've been running Star Citizen and many other games on the machine without issue. Very happy with this purchase.
