Right out of the box, The HP Omen 30L is quite the machine. HP has hit a remarkable sweet spot between price and value. Most interested in the ray tracing capabilities, I jumped right in with a demanding game, Control. Went right to max on all settings and was unable to achieve any discernable frame drop or stutter in even the most challenging scenes. Immediately impressed, also the moment I lost all concern over the price. It's the smallest thing, but love the internal wi-fi. Something I changed immediately, swapped the HDD for a SSD. Physically, the tower is impressive. Zero embarrassment, no blingy crap, interior is sterile, tech'd out, blacked out, with really thoughtful lighting. Fits really well in a modern home office environment yet, somehow still appeals to the kid in me. I like to push everything, installed Windows 10 Insider from this week. Caused the strangest green screen crash every time I visited any shopping site! Reinstalled Windows 10 latest retail and all is quite well again. Spent too many nights trying to price out a DIY system. Unable to meet these specs/quality at a price that would make it worth the effort. No question, a good buy.

This is my first gaming desktop. I purchased this after extensively looking on the site to find what would better suit me. I weighed in the option of building my own or just getting this one. However, one thing I didn't realize is that while this is able to upgrade some, you can't change bios settings, you have very limited options on replacing the cooler fan and while I haven't run into any problems yet, these are key factors in keeping the PC cooler. If this is something you care about, I would take it into consideration for your purchase.

    Thing is a Beast!

This thing works great. I have it hooked up to the new omen 27i gforce monitor. And wow! Now, someone said on review said something about the 5700 being better than the 2060 but after researching performance and reliability and overheating. The 2060 is the better. And this thing is a beast! Performance and reliability is key. My only 2 complaints is 256GB isn’t enough and the hyper x rgb lights are haywire. Rgb on the hyper x won’t function to the programmed setting. I need to get support on it. And the 256GB I can always upgrade. Oh and this computer does not have overclock option. Don’t know enough to see if it can still be done without option. It’s fast as is and I have great 2k clarity immersive color and still need to download a GeForce raytracing game. Not v sync the direct x raytracing. Plus, this computer is $200 cheaper than buying from HP omen. Thanks best buy for always the best deal.

Been using it for 2 years now. I know this is not a detailed review, but this is an amazing computer that has worked for me pretty much flawlessly through that time. Haven't really had to upgrade it until recently when i've decided I simply need more SSD storage space, which will be easy because of the decent expand-ability this computer has. Honestly, very good.

For the price and what comes packed inside is a great deal, I’ve looked at pretty much every website and store I could think of looking for a better prebuilt for cheaper and I havnt seen one. The price is obviously pretty high but compared to other prebuilt this one is by far the best I’ve come across, I can run any game I desire and doing so I can pull maximum FPS such as Rust, Rainbow and other GPU intensive games. The Omen desktop also comes with game tracker and stats tracker to view your experience and skill in various games and I think this is a cool feature, the case also includes a easy access button so working on it doesn’t require pesky screws or possibly damaged the case while trying to get inside. Extra slot for added ssd is also available. The only downside is that it has no disc tray, although somewhat obsolete nowadays, it would still be nice to be able to play movies or old games I have on disc. All that said, I havnt done much looking around inside to find out the upgradability but I’d assume it’s not very difficult. Also comes standard with RGB inside and customizable colors. It also comes with software to control and manage power consumption, gpu and cpu usage as well as other things to help optimize your experience. Overall a great desktop if you’re willing to put in the money for it.

This pc is a beast and I have had it for a couple of days now. Games run at 240fps on high settings and surprisingly have no drops! One con is the fans tho, you only get 2 and my cpu does run hot so I suggest pickup some extra fans for this pc which you can get cheap on amazon for 30 bucks. All around grab this pc while its on sale because it is a steal!

I’ve had this computer for just over a month, and it has been great! As a college student, choosing between computers like this was a big decision. It is my first gaming pc, and it hasn’t disappointed! Right out of the box you can get to gaming, and the value in my opinion is up there with building your own pc. It comes with windows and everything you need (mouse and keyboard) to get your feet off the ground. Performance wise, it runs every game extremely well. I bought it specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, and it can run that on all ultra settings. The most complaints I’ve read prior to buying were regarding internal temps, and I have yet to experience anything out of the ordinary! It runs well, and I look forward to upgrading ram and fans down the road.

I'm not an avid PC gamer. I have both a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One X. PC gaming has always intrigued me, but felt too complicated compared to consoles. I never wanted to "keep up with the Jones" when it came to what a PC was capable of. In fact, I haven't had a desktop in over 10 years. Laptops set up as a main computer has been what I've been used to. However, now that my nearly 7 year laptop crashed on me I felt it necessary to upgrade to a desktop worthy of some casual gaming. And boy was I surprised by this thing. I was always under the impression that you would have to have a state of the set pc setup to play games on high or ultra settings. I was wrong. This thing can play Red Dead Redemption 2 on almost all ukmltra settings without suffering from FPS drops. Its amazing. Exceeded my expectations to say the least. Its so easy to set up. I went ahead and got the 2K 144hz display Omen has and that coupled with this PC is amazing. It may not be the best in class when it comes to specs, but I'm telling you, its enough for 90% of us. I wish it had a little more than 1TB though, as that fills up quick with a few games. But thats easily upgradeable.

I got this right around the time that Cyberpunk 2077 came out. I’m able to play CP2077 on Ultra settings with ray tracing and maintain 50-60fps. I get a steady 75+ FPS (even up to 120+ FPS) on other heavy games like COD Cold War and Witcher 3. I’ve had a lot of fun so far with this PC. Easy to set up, simple to use.

I purchased this as a gift for one of my friends. From their own words, they are unbelievably happy with just how quiet this PC runs overall. When it starts up in the morning, it starts quickly and compared to their old PC - which sounded like a train when starting up - the new one is fast and quiet. It's a lot smaller than the tower they upgraded from. This is a huge benefit in saving space, as well. The fact we could choose the color of the glow is really nice. It was a huge upgrade for them, and they report that literally everything runs SO MUCH better. One of the major games they play is Final Fantasy XIV, and they say they are now running it at 60 FPS with maximum settings (Something that would be a pipe dream on their old PC) Price-wise, it was purchased on sale for a substantial discount. I do not think I would have gone with this PC had it not been on sale, as wehile I love the specs of it, I do not like to pay premiums on parts and tend to go for builds as close to the cost of components as possible. This is a great mid-range PC in terms of specifications,

Basic: I was going to build a pc but the deal for what's instead this pc for the Black Friday sale / in general is good if you would rather buy it already built. AMD processors (3700x is in this model)are showing faster speeds currently and less power usage than intel. The RTX 2060 that is inside will run AAA (ex:cod) titles at medium quality and be just fine. 16GB RAM is perfect. RGB lights are attractive as well. Little things: You will want to only have windows on the C-drive, but the 1TB Hard drive is enough for plenty of games and if you see more this has A LOT of USB ports to add a external hard drive(what I will be doing when I reach that point). The ONLY CON is the power supply of 500w BUT that is fine and can be upgraded later. Disclaimer: I stream to twitch/fb gaming, run Spotify, and can play Warzone (really intensive cpu game) and it runs smoothly with no lag or slow downs. Optional item that will make gaming experience unreal with this pc is to pair it with a 144hz, 1ms, 1920x1080p Monitor. Can go higher in hz but starting out or budget 144hz will be just fine.

I ordered this computer package in order to satisfy the requirements for MSFS2020 and hopefully get maximum resolution when playing the simulator. I was completely satisfied and have not found any down sides to this particular version. If I was to desire to change anything I would have increased the size of the SSD drive. As of yet I have not needed anything larger. Received the item a little earlier than expected and it arrived in great shape. Worked out of the box. I spent a few hours getting acquainted the the product and loading the new software purchased and downloaded. So far I have approximately 50 hours of on time usage and it works quite well. Heat wise it runs cooler than expected and the frame rates on the graphics run consistently under 60. I run MSFS2020 at the 'ULTRA" setting and I get no stuttering or scene delay. It works quite seamless. Bottom line it was good buy also coupled with a 10% discount for my birthday.

I wanted a computer to play MS Flight Sim. It has fairly lofty hardware requirements to play at ultra settings. After reading a lot of reviews, this configuration seemed like a great value for the price. Esthetically it's a good looker. The black case with mirrored front and clear glass side panel are great to look at. The lighting options enhance the style. Connectivity wise, it has all the ports you need. I'd like to have seen a few USBc ports on the front/top of the case, but otherwise I'm able to connect all my peripherals. Game play has been fantastic. MS Flight Sim is smooth at Ultra display settings. No stutters, lagging, etc. at a frame rate consistently around 40fps. On less demanding games it can easily do 150fps+. I bought it black Friday weekend and thought I got a great price at $1249. But then a couple of weeks it went on sale again for $950. So yeah, for the price I'm totally stoked!

I had some initial issues with the Pc after Windows updated and I got locked out but HP’s customer service was terrific in helping me get it figured out. Since then it’s worked wonderfully. It runs Cyberpunk very well and I’ve had no other issues with games. I do wish the power supply was bigger, but that’s something I may look into upgrading later. The PC was made to be upgraded and HP fully expects you to do some work to it. I’ve already updated a few things, adding an SSD, another fan and upgrading the RAM. I found it on sale for less than 1000, over 300 off, and was able to nab the 2060 version. I’d recommend it if you’re not looking to build a PC but wanting to get into PC gaming like I was.

Best Pre-Built PC on the Market!

I would have to argue that this is the best pre-built PC on the market right now. No, it doesn't have an RTX 3000 series graphics card, but it still can run all games on high settings with good FPS. I've owned this PC for 5 months now and never had a single problem with anything. The only con to this PC is the wifi. I would consider hardwiring this PC to your router. Mine is stationed right next to my router, and the wifi in it is shaky, but hardwiring solved the problem. Its reasonably priced, I'm sure you can build this set up cheaper if you build your own, but this is good as pre-built PCs can get on the market right now.

I came from a ps4 owner and this thing is night and day. I was planning on building one with similar specs to fit my budget and it turned out to be more than what I expected. I found this pc and pulled the plug, and I honestly don't regret it. I didn't have to deal with the Windows install or having to deal with installing anything. It was all plug and play and setting up everything was super easy/smooth. This PC boots up quick and Modern Warfare Warzone is so fast with no hiccups. The program it comes with that shows the temps and controls the RGB is super convenient. The keyboard and mouse isn't the best but it definitely kick starts everything if you don't have one. Great PC choice if you're in the market for one without the hassle of building one!
