I’ve been waiting to grab a 5080 laptop for a while but needed the perfect opportunity to strike. When this went on sale for Black Friday I knew i needed too. The specs are great. 32gb of ram. 5080 card. 2tb ssd. It can more than handle any game on the market with high end graphics. I recommend getting a cooling pad though because it can get hot running max.

Great laptop. Perfect for gaming at highest graphic setting, video editing and everything else. Excellent OLED screen!

Pad mouse freezes sometimes and I don't like the computer port for the electrical plug. Computer electrical port is old school and they don't last as long as the USB-C. Otherwise, great computer. P.S.- Some of the software is slightly different than the past.

Excellent, lightweight laptop able to handle multiple programs at once. Love the RPG keyboard.

Lightning fast. OLED is great. Gaming over the road playing AAA online titles. No issues after one month. I wish it had one or two more usb connections but I just bought a usb hub.

I love this computer. I have not put much on it yet, but it is awesome. My kids keep trying to take it even though they have their own laptops. The lights are soo much fun and you can kind of custamized how you want it to be.

[Employee of bestbuy] I have tried Asus Lenovo gigabyte and now finally the HP’s oled models of the 5080 laptops and i will say by far this one has the best thermals of then all. They all run with 1-2% of each other which means they fall under the margin of error and if i ran the same benchmarks 100 times there’d be cases where each one would beat the other by a frame or a second, so they’re all nearly identical in raw performance. Im pretty sure they all share the same oled panel but i will say the lenovo one for some reason seemed like it looked the best but the hp one here is still gorgeous and looked the same as all the other brands except the lenovo one i mentioned. So if youre going for a 5080 laptop and you plan to use it for long 4-8 hour game sessions I recommend this laptop. As the other models all reach 90-99 degress on the cpu where this one maxed to 87 degrees while gaming on a game like Black myth wukong

This laptop is a steal when it's on sale, especially if you get a open box deal. Needless to say the fans are loud it does get hot but so far no throttling. If you think about it complaining about loud fans on this is like saying my Ferrari is to loud, what do you expect on a high performance machine.

Impressive machine, I never thought I would buy a HP but after dealing with the ASUS zephyrus laggy and overheating machine that I returned, this has been found to be a SOLID piece of engineering HP did NOT sacrifice form over function, it's a little thick but it does NOT overheat, great thinking. this is where asus went wrong, tried to make it slim and they made a nice looking laptop that overheats and starts lagging on simple games i am overtly impressed with the HP omen, i usually buy Lenovo products due to the high build quality and it seems that HP stole some engieneers from there. I can play all my games on ultra with no problems, this laptop will age well. A little pricy, absolutely but you have to pay for quality and longevity, and avoid buyers remorse, buy it once

Bought mine off of the HP website directly due a nice sale at the time. Everything worked great out if the box. All Windows upadtaes and drivers installed with zero issues. I even updated the BIOS. Then it was time to game. Loaded up several games and started playing. The laptop fans come on full force and it is loud, but games are playing fine at furst. Then i notice studdering and then a few minutes later, the laptop just shuts downs without warning. I restart the laptop and it boots up fine. I then play another game and aame exact thing happens again. I an now returnibg tgis laptop. It’s defective and does jot have the proper cooling solution to keel it stable. This is a major design glaw by HP. I hope they can fix this issue. I will be looking for a new gaming laptop that doesnt have this problem.

Product case feels good and materials are reasonable for the price. It has been performing the tasks I throw at it fairly well. I'm having one big issue with the PC however in that I can't configure the keyboard to behave like the demo laptop in the store. I contact support and they told me to pay for an HP service to receive any help with this issue. Why would the laptop not be default configured like the demo?

Display quality is great, color saturation is amazing. I've had no issues with gameplay to include cyberpunk 2077 running at ultra graphics with the welcome to night city modpack. I have had issues when turning off copilot and logging in can take a second oddly enough

I love the OLED screen on the HP Omen - Max 16. It looked so cool that I bought it. I just need to remember how to use a PC after years of using Apple. I liked it so much that I bought one for my girlfriend so we could play games faster. The speaker sounds good for a laptop. The screen is sharper. It’s built solid, it stays cool, and I like the keyboard. The touchpad is okay, but it’s still a powerful laptop.

Picture is sharp, keyboard has cool colors. No more games lagging.
