I've tried both the Vivobook and the XPS 13 in the Lunar lake line. The vivobook was almost good but the build quality was just meh. The XPS was beautiful but the keyboard is just awful. I thought I could get used to it but it's just form over function. The omnibook has been great. Touchscreen and 2-in-1 functions give me much more versatility. The keyboard is great, nothing nuts but it's just like pretty darn good. The touchpad is gigantic, probably the largest I've ever seen and it works perfectly. Screen is great, higher resolution than the others which is nice, OLED looks nice, 120hz is great. I sort of wish I had more memory but tbh 16gb gets you pretty good if you aren't using a ton. Fans and heat are almost non-existent. It got a little warm when I benchmarked but not much at all really. Fan noise during benchmarks I culdn't hear unless i put my ear up toward the bottom. Battery life seems to do great as well, though oled will definitley make it a little worse than the xps i think.

An amazing laptop, i would recommend for all needs. A little pricey but worth it in the long run it has a great processor and an OLED touchscreen for crisp picture and speed. Battery lasts about 6-8 hours.

The HP Omnibook Ultra Flip Copilot+ Laptop Is a high-quality PC with some added AI features built in, though if you're a PC Gamer know that this is not designed to be a gaming laptop (and will not be reviewed/rated as such). The 2.8k OLED touchscreen display (featuring dark blacks, impressive bright colors, and incredible contrast [or differences in brightness levels]) looks absolutely gorgeous, especially with the default black background colorful Windows 11 wallpaper. The screen flips all the way around If you want to use it without the keyboard in the way (like "tablet mode"). The keyboard itself has a very nice feel, you can hear the keypresses as you type, and features a fingerprint sensor on the power button. The install process did not prompt me to set up the fingerprint sensor, but I was able to do that in the settings menu later on. I find the fingerprint more preferred to facial recognition, because facial recognition can unlock it when I don't intend to -- also, it takes just a tap of the finger to sign in with the fingerprint (very fast). This machine is also very lightweight/portable. As per ports, I was only able to locate two of them. One is the USB-C port which is also the power port, and the other seems to be a headphone jack. The major negative of only one USB-C port is if you are charging you can't plug in external USB devices, you'd only be able to use them in battery mode. It's possible you can find some kind of USB-C hub (not included) which might let you charge while at the same time using external devices. I wasn't able to test the headphone port as all of my current headphones are Bluetooth, which of course is also supported. However, without headphones, the quad speaker "Poly Studio" system provides crystal clear sound, loud enough for laptop use, and possibly the best quality sound I've ever heard from a laptop speaker (even comparing it to my MacBook Air M2). You can find the Poly Studio logo on the left edge of the laptop. It seems to support a subset of the Studio Effects (camera effects via AI) when compared with two other Snapdragon based machines I have. Also, when I tried the Automatic Framing (software based) it didn't seem to work - on the Snapdragon machines, as I would move around the screen It would zoom in to keep me in the center gradually, here on the HP it didn't seem to do anything. While I was testing In the evening, i notice the color shifting on the web camera too, which wasn't great, but the picture was clear. The initial set up took an unnecessarily long time to complete, though that may be Microsoft's fault. That is, the setup was interrupted to install a mandatory (not background downloaded) update before letting you set anything other than Wi-Fi up. I don't know exactly how long it took, but after about ten minutes it was like 5-10% done so I went and did other things and came back an hour later and at that point it was ready to proceed with setup. Wi-Fi 7 works great when connected to our Eero Max 7 on Optimum Fiber internet, I took a snapshot (possibly attached to this review) of getting over 500Mbit/s download and upload speeds, with a 5ms ping time, we pay for 500Mbit service so we can't ask for much faster. As per battery, after 30 minutes of usage (while unplugged) it did not go down even 1%. Let's just assume 1% per 30 minutes (it might be significantly better than that), that's 3000 minutes (or about 50 hours) per charge it would get, which for an Intel based machine traditionally would be unheard of in my experience. I am very impressed by the battery. This may be the first Intel-based PC I could wholeheartedly recommend (despite the USB-C Port limitations) in a long time (again, unless you’re a gamer and are not comfortable streaming games through services like the Xbox App Subscription).

This is a very nice looking and feeling laptop. Keyboard, and track pad feel great, very light, and the screen looks incredible. The performance is extremely good as well. However, everything else about it is at best, annoying, and at worst, a potential deal breaker. This laptop is too thin for its own good. Laptops of all things do not need to be ultra thin. If HP wasn't so worried about how this thing looks in the promo materials, they could have packed in a larger battery and more ports. Battery life is decent but not spectacular. The small 64 watt hour battery is not doing it any favors. You'll probably get around 8-10 hours of light use with this thing, which is good but far less than some of the competition. The software is insulting. From the moment you boot this thing up, it feels like HP is laughing at you due to the bloatware preinstalled (please uninstall McAfee immediately, before anything else) and the borderline useless MyHP system management software. You cannot do anything apart from suggest the laptop to go into one of five or so set performance modes. I say "suggest" because MyHP has a tendency to ignore your choice and put itself into the power-draining "Smart Sense" mode whenever it feels like it. I wanted to manually adjust the fans because the default fan profile is insane (waiting until the laptop is already thermally throttling to turn on the fans just to never turn them off again if it's plugged in) but there is absolutely no way to do that. My biggest gripe with the laptop is the OLED screen. This isn't something unique to HP. OLED looks really nice but I do not understand why there is such a push to use it on laptops. All OLEDs will burn in at some point. It is a guarantee. And on a laptop, where you commonly have static elements like your browser bookmark bar or game HUDs displayed for long periods of time, the time it takes for burn in to appear may be shorter than you would want. For me personally, I don't want to feel like I have to baby my laptop and avoid using it as I normally would; for example, if I have it docked, I like to use it as a second monitor. However, I was constantly stressing out about having static elements displayed like Discord or my background so I just turned the screen off entirely. It adds stress and makes it feel like you're not free to use your laptop as you wish. If you're comfortable with your laptop screen potentially only lasting a year or two, then OLED is for you. For me, I think I'm going to end up returning this thing to get a laptop that I don't have to worry about.

I was on a hunt for a personal laptop that is at par or, if not, at least close to the performance of my work HP laptop. I have always trusted HP laptops. Even though I had been given a choice to go with a different brand, I still choose HPs and have always upgraded to one. Even though I had used other brand laptops in the past, I still go back to HPs. This Omni Book Ultra HP came out with is overall, in my opinion, a great laptop especially for its price point. With its specs, features, and its looks, I honestly thought this cost a lot more. Having 1TB SSD as its hard drive, a memory of 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, this laptop packs a punch. Not to mention, this is a 2-in-1 laptop with a 14” OLED display. I am actually elated that this comes with an OLED display. I continue to be amazed at the video quality of an OLED screen. The details are seen with such clarity, and the blacks are super dark. As far as the sound is concerned, the speakers aren’t powered by Bang & Olufsen, unlike HP’s other laptops in the past, but it’s still a nice set of laptop speakers. They could get nice and loud without distorting the sound. However, since they are laptop speakers, the sound quality isn’t the greatest. The bass is definitely lacking, and the highs and lows aren’t really well-balanced. Again, they are pretty good for laptop speakers. Regarding its features, the laptop is supported by HP’s AI. This is a super tool someone can take advantage of. From typing up emails to creating images, AI can cater to whatever your needs are. In trying this out, I typed an email, but I had AI make it sound formal and professional. It turned out to be as if the email was for corporate work. Then I had AI make it seem like it was written back in medieval tone. Then I had it sound like a kid wrote it. AI did a really great job making it seem like different people typed the email. I also tested it by creating images, and it’s scary how close AI created them to my liking. It may not have been 100% accurate, but it’s scary how well AI executes the user’s request. If I were to critique this laptop, I would go back to the sound. Then again, we are talking about laptop speakers so you really can’t expect much from them. I, myself, connect external speakers via Bluetooth, and they work very well. Maybe the material could make it look more high end, but that doesn’t really matter. It still looks really nice in my opinion. HP’s Omni Book Ultra Laptop, again, is a very good laptop especially for its price point. From its hardware to its software, along with its specs, I thought this cost more than advertised. I would definitely recommend to get this laptop if a friend is looking for one.

I have used this laptop for 5 days now and it delivers exceptional on most of my requirements. I was looking for a new Windows 11 laptop with copilot, 2k display or greater, with great sound that I could take with me when I travel. I use my laptop extensively when I travel for home office/personal finance, remote work office, and personal photo/video editing. I also watch movies and listen to music, while I travel. I needed to replace a 2 year old HP Dragonfly laptop, which I gave to my daughter. So that is my point of reference. The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip, with its 2-in-1 flip capabilities, have worked out perfectly for most of my needs. The 3k OLED screen is absolutely beautiful. It displays my photos and videos very well for my editing and when showing my work to others. Likewise, the flip option is wonderful. I can set this laptop up on a table in a pyramid to show photos, videos, or for a small presentation. The screen is bright, so everyone could easily see my screen. I also like that I can use it like a tablet in my hotel room or on a plane. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use as well. Even after installing all my software (i.e., MS-Office, finance, photo/video editing, etc.), it still runs quickly and I didn't experience any over-heating problems. It did get a little hot at times, but not often or too bad that it caused a shut-down. It has an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, built-in Intel ARC graphics, 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The 9MP front camera is truly amazing and it works great for video conferencing, while the microphones worked adequately. The WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 performed equally amazing in my home network and a hotel during a recent trip. I especially like how quickly it recharges. However, you have to make sure you get the right AC power USB-C / Thunderbolt port (angled back right corner). However, on the downside, there are a few things which could have been better. First and foremost is the sound. This laptop has 4 "smallish" speakers on the bottom/side by Poly/Polycom, which HP purchased in 2022. My previous HP laptop had 2 larger speakers by Bang and Olufsen on the top beside the keyboard. I don't feel the sound quality of the speakers are as good on this laptop and I feel they should have been better at this price point. The battery life didn't seem to be very long, but I used it heavily, so I can accurately say if it is better or worse. Lastly, there was one odd thing which I can't quite figure out and resolve. When I started the laptop the first time, the mouse was large, almost to max size. I went into the settings for the mouse and dropped it down, where it stayed small for the rest of the day. But, when I restarted the laptop the next day, it was back to the larger size. I have to decrease the size each day when I start my laptop. I haven't experienced that with other laptops and I am still trying to figure this one out. Overall, this laptop performs very well and I feel it will work out perfectly for my needs. There are a few things (as mentioned above) which I would have expected to see on a laptop in 2024 at this price point. But most of all, over the last 5 days I didn't experience any problems and everything works well. Every device I connected to it (i.e., Headphones, Earphones, Mouse, USB drive and external SSD drives) connected and functioned with ease. I also expect this laptop by HP will continue to perform well as did my previous one did considering HP's reputation and commitment to service. I would certainly recommend this laptop to others and it would make a great gift.

This machine is the perfect combination of performance and portability for my needs. The screen is absolutely gorgeous, the battery life holds up to hours and hours of use. I’m sure it’s not up to being a primary gaming rig, but that’s not my use case. I’m able to link it up to my Thunderbolt dock and drive a 57” Neo G9 at full resolution with it, both with the lid open as well as closed. I also really appreciate the fingerprint reader compared to some other offerings. I’m not using it in tablet mode, but it’s nice to know that’s an option.

This has the new 3nm 2nd gen Lunar Lake Intel i7 Core Ultra 256v processor, battery life when web browsing is around 10 to 12 hours and video playback is approximately 15 hours. The screen is a beautiful OLED screen, the colors are rich and vibrant, and keyboard is a joy to type on, the keys and letters are bigger than previous Spectre laptops. The screen scrolling is very smooth cause it has a 120Hz refresh screen and its very snappy. I haven't had any issues, finally an Intel processor that matches the snapdragon long battery life but runs all apps.

This is a beautiful product by hp. Nice sleek design, solid aluminium build. Nice haptic trackpad feels very premium. Gorgeous OLED dispay is by Samsung, HDR video experience is awesome. Best laptop I've ever had! I wanted a 2 in 1 and this is the perfect size! Im overwhelmed by the beautiful screen and resposive haptic track pad. I constantly run several programs at once. It rarely warms up and I never hear the fans. It is plenty powerful for my use and connects easily to internet and Bluetooth devices. Wish it came with a pen. I found a great deal on an open box excellent and it arrived next day in perfect condition.

Most laptops in this category have a 4 cell battery. This one has a 6 cell battery. The laptop has all the bells and whistles, camera shutter, face recognition login, fingerprint log in, 2-in-1... The laptop was missing one option I must have. I want manufacturer bloatware to include a battery saver. When the AC adapter is connected, the battery can't charge beyond 80%. Since I keep my laptop stationary 90% of the time, it's my must have. Though this model has a better battery than most, it didn't have this option. I returned it for one that does have battery health software. One other thing. The first day it was unstable but after the HP updates and windows updates it became stable.

I wouldn't pay top-dollar for this laptop; I was able to find it open box while also on sale so I got a great deal. The screen is gorgeous. It's light but feels well made and sturdy. It's snappy but does get bogged down easily; looking at Facebook on Chrome while downloading a game on Steam had it lagging badly. It has some weird bugs that I saw another reviewer mention. The mouse pointer randomly resizes itself and has to be adjusted. Also the fingerprint reader has gone out and I had to disable and reenable it to get it working. I'm hoping this all gets polished in updates. Overall this is a great laptop that looks beautiful, it's not perfect and I would've already returned it if I'd paid full price, but for entertainment, web surfing and LIGHT gaming it's perfect.

This seems to be a pretty good laptop, and it has gotten good reviews online, but a couple of things kept it from being one I wanted to hold onto. First the good: 1) Build quality is quite nice. I don't really care about the 2-in-1 factor but the hinges felt strong and it's reasonably thin and light. 2) Screen is beautiful, a very nice OLED panel. 3) Keyboard and trackpad are a delight - very nice key travel combined with a haptic trackpad is always good to see. Here were my quibbles: 1) The speakers can sound good, but only at a table because they are down-firing. If on your lap, the sound is actually terrible and muddy. 2) I kept running into a bug where the entire screen would freeze up, it wasn't clear why this was happening, though I wonder if the Intel graphics drivers were to blame, something to consider with the new chips they've launched. In short, this seems like a good laptop, but make sure you give it a test out before committing to it.
