The 2026 model comes with some really big upgrades, including the biggest one for me—and probably for many other people: the keyboard layout. The previous HP OmniBook X Flip series had, in my opinion, a pretty terrible keyboard layout. I honestly don’t know what HP was thinking with it. Hopefully, they’ve finally fixed that with this generation. On top of that, HP now offers an OLED display even without going for the Ultra model, which is fantastic. The laptop is also lighter, feels fast enough for the everyday tasks most people actually do, and the build quality feels really solid. And then there’s the hinge. In my opinion, this is one of the best 2-in-1 hinges right now. I’ve tried or seen 2-in-1 designs from Dell and Lenovo, and honestly, I think HP has done a better job here. So, if a good, solid hinge is important to you, my top recommendation right now would be the HP OmniBook X Flip.

Overall performance is decent, battery life was ok. The OLED display 2k and their tablet mode are good however you would need to buy a mpp compatible pen as there is no pen included. I had to buy buy one to draw properly in tablet mode

Wow! This computer has the best image quality I have ever seen on a laptop, vibrant crystal clear, really excellent. Motion handling is good maybe some occasional judder. Build quality is good, I like the aluminum body. Boot up, charging, battery life, touchscreen interface, data transfers speeds are all excellent. Only issues, the mouse cursor stops working when using the touchscreen and mouse track pad together. Also, my keyboard and mouse pad had minor smudges and/or wear marks right out of the box, I tried to clean them but they are still there, no performance impacts.

This 2026 model offers excellent value for anyone needing a reliable 2-in-1 device. The Eclipse Gray finish looks premium and professional. The overall build quality feels very solid. The standout feature is definitely the OLED display—it is crystal clear and highly responsive to touch. Battery life has been solid so far, easily getting me through a standard workday. It runs quiet and cool even when multitasking.

Absolutely incredible! This laptop is a powerhouse. The OLED screen is breathtaking, and the performance is lightning-fast. It's the perfect blend of style and capability. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I’m very happy with this HP OmniBook so far. The 16-inch OLED screen looks amazing, with sharp details and vibrant colors, and the touchscreen is very responsive. Performance feels fast and smooth for browsing, streaming, multitasking, and everyday work. I also really like the 2-in-1 design because it’s easy to switch between laptop and tablet mode. The keyboard feels comfortable, the overall build feels premium, and 16GB of memory with the 512GB SSD is a great combination for daily use. Overall, it’s a powerful and versatile laptop and I would definitely recommend it.

The HP OmniBook X Flip 16" is a sleek, versatile laptop that easily flips into a tablet, making it highly portable and surprisingly slim for its large screen size. It packs more than enough speed to handle everyday work, streaming, and multitasking smoothly while staying cool and quiet. It comes with a compact, fast-charging power brick that can conveniently charge your phone or tablet using the same cord, easily lasting through a full day of regular use on a single charge.

I absolutely love my HP OmniBook X Flip! I had been looking for a laptop that could handle school, work, multitasking, and everyday use while still feeling premium and enjoyable to use, and this laptop has exceeded my expectations. The 16" 2K OLED touchscreen is easily one of my favorite features. The display is absolutely beautiful, with vibrant colors, excellent contrast, and plenty of screen space for having multiple windows open. Everything from working on documents and spreadsheets to watching movies looks fantastic. The touchscreen and 2-in-1 design are also incredibly convenient and make the laptop much more versatile. Performance has been excellent so far. The Intel Core Ultra 5, 16GB of memory, and 512GB SSD make everyday tasks feel fast and responsive, even when I have multiple applications and browser tabs open at the same time. I also really appreciate having Copilot+ features built in. The Eclipse Gray finish gives it a sleek, professional look, and the overall build quality makes it feel like a much more expensive laptop. I especially appreciate that it manages to combine a large, gorgeous display with the flexibility of a 2-in-1. As a college student, this has been an especially great fit for me. It gives me the screen real estate I want for school and work without sacrificing the features and flexibility that make it enjoyable to use every day. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The combination of the OLED display, performance, touchscreen, 2-in-1 design, and premium feel makes this one of the best laptops I've owned. I would absolutely recommend the HP OmniBook X Flip to anyone looking for a powerful, versatile, and genuinely enjoyable laptop!

Real world battery life is fantastic. Without making any effort to conserve battery, I was getting roughly 2 hours for every 10% drop in battery life during light use (web browsing with Chrome, watching videos) with balanced power settings in Windows. Really liked the small, lightweight power brick that can still add a decent amount of charge in a short time. The keyboard is very good, in my opinion, and much improved over the totally flat version in the previous generation. Touchscreen works well, and it's pretty fun to use as a comically large tablet when kicking back on the couch. Speakers are good enough to get the job done, but my expectations for laptop speakers are pretty low though so take that for what you will. 16 gigs of memory and a 512GB SSD feel inadequate for the price, but given how expensive memory and storage have become I suppose those amounts are actually reasonable. Regardless, both are enough for the sort of lightweight tasks the rest of the hardware is suited to anyway. The OLED display really wows with its contrast especially, but a 60hz refresh rate feels inadequate in 2026. I haven't purchased a display with less than 120hz in 10+ years at this point, so the lack of smoothness feels very noticeable to me even just scrolling websites etc. I ended up returning this one, in spite of the fact that I really liked it overall. Why? Well, it went on sale for over $200 less than I paid for it, and Best Buy could not (would not?) price match the difference because I traded in my old laptop at the same time... but I could still return it. Was planning to just buy the same one again for $200 less, but then found the substantially upgraded model with double the ram, storage, and a 3k 120hz OLED on sale for a couple hundred more than I paid originally. So I went with that one instead.

I enjoy the keyboard layout and the performance. I am able to run multiple browser tabs, play games, complete schoolwork, and other tasks. It is lightweight and holds a good charge.

How about this product for business purposes? It is incredible. It is so fast and smooth in a sleek black design. The processor is phenomenal. The graphics are incredible. Would buy this product over and over again. I am looking forward to using HP for now and in the future.

long battery, great speed, picture quality is great for video play and watching movies, can have multiple links open with no slowdown

I once owned an HP Envy 360, so this OmniBook feels like an upgrade. This laptop is 16 inches in length, so it feels cumbersome, but it feels lightweight. I like the 10 key number pad and the touchscreen. I'm not completely knowledgeable about computers, but I like the OmniBook's ease of use. I primarily use MS Office. I don't like the little HP advertisements that pop up.

I've had this laptop for a shot while now. It is fast and light and easy to use. I reduced my screen size moving to this laptop and I do not miss the larger screen. The light weight of this laptop makes it easy to go room to room without concern of dropping it. The screen is clear and crisp, processing is fast and efficient. I'm glad I chose to downsize to this laptop.

I wasn’t sure how much I would use the flip feature (tablet style) but I use it all the time. This laptop is nice and big. I love the number keypad. I purchased this for school and have had no issues whatsoever.

The laptop/tablet is a convenient device and is quite fast and easy to use. Performance has been smooth thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB of RAM. Multitasking with multiple browser tabs, Microsoft Office, and video calls is effortless, and the 512GB SSD keeps everything fast and responsive. I also appreciate the Copilot+ features, which add useful AI tools without getting in the way. The Eclipse Gray finish gives it a premium look, and the build quality feels solid. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, the battery easily gets me through a typical workday, and the laptop stays quiet during everyday use. Overall, this is an excellent value for anyone looking for a versatile, modern Windows laptop with a beautiful display and dependable performance.

This sleek lightweight laptop is the perfect upgrade to my prior HP laptop, with great processing speed, sufficient memory, and crystal clear screen presentation.

Visual is fantastic. Speed is great. Battery life is decent. Absolutely no complaints

As a computer the stats might seem a bit underwellning, but it does work quite well if you are using it for things such as college or work. The battery life is pretty good and I'm able to transport it well.

Bought this laptop for my daughter going to college. Based on her coursework, she decided this was the appropriate computer. She’s been using it daily and loves it. The screen is big, it’s not too heavy, it has a number pad, and we were able to find a case for it. We anticipate she will be able to use this computer throughout college and maybe even a few years after that.
