Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1's overall performance, portability, and impressive battery life. The fast processor and touchscreen display are also well-received, along with its thin design and lightweight build. However, some users have noted concerns regarding heat generated under heavy use, as well as the screen's color accuracy, and some noise when plugged in.

I got this PC because my lovely angel spilled all over my last one. I needed it in a pinch for my classes for college. Ive had it for almost a month now and have to say its handling fine. I do notice a lag sometimes when i have a few things open... but thats to be expected maybe considering my programs... id buy again though.

I recently bought the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 Copilot+ PC from Best Buy, and I’ve been blown away by how well it performs. The 14-inch 2K touch-screen is gorgeous colors are vibrant, text is sharp, and the touchscreen feels very smooth and responsive. Being able to flip it into tablet mode makes it super convenient for note-taking, drawing, or even just relaxing and streaming. The performance is excellent. The Intel Core Ultra 5 paired with 16GB of memory handles multitasking with ease. I can stream, work on documents, run multiple apps, and switch between them without any lag. The 512GB SSD is more than enough storage for my files, and apps load up almost instantly. It’s also very quiet and doesn’t get overly hot, which is a big plus for me. Another thing I really love is the design and portability. The Atmospheric Blue finish looks premium and modern, and the laptop itself is lightweight enough to carry around all day without feeling bulky. Battery life has been solid as well, lasting me through classes and work sessions without constantly hunting for an outlet. The only con might be that it didn’t come with a laptop pencil for touch screen. Overall, this laptop feels like the perfect balance between power and portability. Whether for school, work, or just everyday use, it’s versatile, reliable, and a pleasure to use. Honestly, one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time.

The HP OmniBook 2-in-1 is sleek, lightweight, and perfect for everyday work or school. The touchscreen flips smoothly into tablet mode, and the display is bright and sharp. Performance is great for browsing, documents, and streaming — not a gaming laptop, but fast enough for daily tasks. Battery life lasts most of the day, and it charges quickly. The keyboard feels good to type on, and the pen support is a plus for notes or sketching. It does warm up a bit with heavy use, but nothing serious.

I’ve been using the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 Copilot+ PC for daily work and personal use, and it has exceeded my expectations so far. The first thing that stood out to me was the build quality and design—the Atmospheric Blue finish looks premium, and the laptop feels solid without being heavy. The 14” 2K touch screen is crisp, bright, and very responsive, making it enjoyable for everything from productivity tasks to streaming and browsing. Performance has been smooth and reliable thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB of memory. I frequently multitask with multiple tabs, documents, and apps open, and the system handles it without lag. The 512GB SSD provides fast boot times and quick file access, which noticeably improves day-to-day efficiency. I really enjoy the 2-in-1 flexibility. Being able to switch between laptop, tent, and tablet mode is genuinely useful, especially when traveling or working in different environments. The touch screen and hinge feel sturdy and well-designed, not flimsy like some convertibles I’ve used in the past. Battery life has been solid for my use, easily lasting through a full workday with mixed tasks. I also appreciate the integration of Copilot+ features, which add helpful productivity tools without feeling intrusive. If I had one minor critique, it would be that I wish it had an additional USB port for accessories, but this hasn’t been a dealbreaker. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this laptop. It offers a great balance of performance, portability, and versatility, and I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and modern 2-in-1 device.

I had this laptop for 2 weeks now. My model is Intel Core Ultra 5, 2k touchsreen 400 nits, 16 GB Memory, 512 GB SSD. Overall a decent machine if priced right (I got mine on back-to-school discount and I believe that is actually the right price for it). Pros: - Fast for lightweight work - 16 GB memory (although soldered) is enough to futureproof it for a few years (Win 11 works very well on it so I assume next OS might perform well too) - SSD can be upgraded so 512 GB is good enough to get you started - Screen is bright (400 nits) - you can clear tell the difference compared to a 300 nits screen - It is light (just above 3 lbs) - 2-in-1 has its benefits in confined spaces (like on airplanes or when want to play something like chess and the keyboard just gets in the way) - battery last long (did not put it to the test for how many hours but it easily got me through the day with light coding and some video watching) - Never got hot during watching videos or browsing internet. I did not try gaming. - Fans are quiet Cons (only the first one is a major one and the reason I took a star off - the rest are cons that can be expected in budget laptops so it is more about knowing what you are getting): - Mouse trackpad is very bad for right click. Period. Sometimes you have to click 4-5 times for it to register. It may be HP drivers or hardware. Coming from Lenovo and Mac, this does not even come close in performance. Several others mentioned it. If you hook up a peripheral mouse, everything is fine. THIS IS WHY I TOOK A STAR OFF - in 2025, mouse trackpad should work fine in all laptops. We had this technology for decades. - Screen is not the most vibrant (62.5% RGB) and the viewing angles are so-so - I put it next to my higher end Dell monitors and next to macbook monitors and you can tell the difference. (I did not have high expectations here so this is NOT why I took a star - I knew this was a budget laptop so the screen was not going to be high end) - Screen is highly reflective (more so than on Mac or ipad). (I knew this when I bought it and saw it in store so this is also NOT the reason i took the star off) - Hinges at the lowest position (in either regular mode close to 10 degrees open folded close to 350 degrees sitting on table with keyboard facing down) - do not hold the screen. In more common position all is fine. The 16" model of Omni X, based on what I saw in store, has stronger hold at those low points (close to being closed). I returned one laptop that had very weak hinges (around 20 degrees open the screen would just fall) and the second one is better but still not perfect (all my other laptops hold the screen up even at the lowest point). I saw it for both Intel and AMD versions so I just think the part is on the cheaper side - again I can accept that since at normal working position all is fine. Just calibrate your expectations again - this is a good 2-in-1, not a premium version though. Again, this is NOT the reason I took a star off. Gimmick or not - the new processors positioned to handle AI tasks locally with the integrated NPU. Time will tell how useful this feature is (as the space around AI and in particular AI assistants and agents is evolving rapidly) but I personally feel this is more for future proofing than current (end of 2025 and first half of 2026) use. If someone needs a computer for school, CPUs that are 1-2 yrs old with little to no NPU are more than adequate. Overall, i do recommend the laptop if you find it below $550 (either in the Intel or AMD versions, all other things the same). Almost great budget laptop, with the mouse trackpad being the main issue.

I recently purchased the HP OmniBook X Flip 14-FM0013DX from Best Buy and I’m very satisfied so far. Right out of the box the laptop felt sturdy yet lightweight — the 14″ size hits a nice balance between portability and screen real estate. The touchscreen is responsive, and I appreciate the 2-in-1 flip design when I want to use it like a tablet for browsing or watching videos. Performance is smooth and snappy: everyday tasks like browsing, email, Word documents, and streaming run without a hitch. Battery life is good — I can get through a typical work or day-to-day session without needing to recharge immediately. The keyboard and trackpad feel comfortable for typing, and overall the build quality feels premium for the price. What I like: • Compact and easy to carry — perfect for travel or moving between rooms/locations. • Responsive touchscreen + convertible 2-in-1 flexibility. • Solid performance for everyday work, web browsing, streaming. • Good battery life for general productivity. • Comfortable keyboard and reliable trackpad. Minor drawbacks (if any): • Not designed for heavy workloads like 3D rendering or intensive gaming — more for productivity and everyday use. • If you’re used to larger screens, 14″ might feel a bit small for long creative sessions or video editing. Overall: I’d recommend this laptop for students, professionals, or everyday users looking for a reliable, portable, and versatile machine for work, study, browsing, and media. It offers very good value for its price range.
