    Good computer, bad screen

Great computer with an awful screen. Screen is tragically dim and has a bad viewing angle. I feel like there’ll always be a part of the screen that isn’t optimal viewing. At this price point they had to skimp on something though. I’m also not a big fan of how the track pad feels, but the keyboard is solid. Port selection is good, and the chassis stays pretty cool without a ton of noise from the fans. Runs cyberpunk on mid settings without issue (a few frame drops here and there, but hey, pretty good for a budget computer)

very happy i was able to get it at a steep discount for black friday, but i would NOT pay $600 for this. the screen almost appears gritty/grainy, and i am not having mousepad issues. the mousepad on my last hp laptop also had issues. i am working on these, and the laptop works and is very fast, but I would be very disappointed if I had paid listed price for it. beautiful great feeling keyboard, beautiful design but plastic and a bit cheap feeling. great formfactor (slightly smaller than my old hp laptop with same screen size).

Good computer for my son. The battery life is not the best. He loves that the keyboard lights up. Overall it’s a good cpu. It’s fast and quiet.

Amazing hardware configuration for the price. 1650 video card can play almost all games. It plays Cyberpunk 2077 in a mix of med/high games. CPU is a beast, handling video encoding and any games. SSD is quick, and screen is bright enough to use outside. My only grips are the loud fans, even when using integrated graphics... and the hinge is worrying me. There is a bit of flex, and I wonder if 2-3 years down the road, the hinge might give out. But still, for this price, and with the current video card shortage, even if this sits under a desk and you use it as a desktop tower, it's still a solid deal.

Great price for a budget gaming laptop. Upgraded to 16 gb of ram, remember it has 1x8gb stick of 3200 mhz ddr4., and there are two slots. And also added a 500gb sata ssd. Thermals were quite bad and noisy. I check the thermal paste and on the CPU it was fine but the GPU it was overflowing. I had to remove most of it and re apply a more modest amount. Then temps were better. But this machine is still quite loud while gaming. The screen is the only real downside. It is TN and very dim, 60 hz, not at all recommend for outdoor use. But if you connect to an external monitor or TV, you'll be fine.

First off I want to start off by saying I love this laptop, I got it on a black Friday sale for $450. The only complaint I have with the laptop so far after a few months is it's the only item in my house to drop off the WiFi pretty regularly, which I'm working with HP to hopefully fix the issue. Other than that I recommend that you spend an extra $150 or so to get another stick of RAM and more storage especially if you do plan on playing bigger games. So far it's been great for me and I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice laptop for not a huge price tag

This thing was amazing while I had it. Unfortunately I bricked it fairly early on. Water + laptop = bad. Thankfully I had a protection program. It couldn’t be fixed and they were out of stock and I needed a laptop quickly so I wasn’t able to get this same one again. While I had it though it was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever had a laptop boot up so quickly. The performance along with the lit up keyboard was awesome too. I’d definitely recommend this laptop any day.

This is my first time purchasing a laptop and I love it. I orginally needed one to start recording my gameplay and the specs on this one were everything I needed. It was easy to upgrade the RAM from 8gb to 16gb. I see some reviews saying that it’s not worth the purchase of $699.99 but I think it’s actually a great price for how fast it runs and the graphics are pretty good. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop with fast speeds, this is definitely the one to choose.

The Computer came in Perfect Condition no bumps or anything. Arrrived very promptly and before christmas! Was Very Easy to setup and runs Great! I am super happy with my new purchase and loving my first gaming laptop! I highly recommend getting this laptop arounda time when it goes on sale since it is normally a $700 dollar laptop and I got mine for close to $500 since I purchased it during black Friday sale! Yes it does run the game Overwatch perfectly.

At MSRP, this is a pretty solid choice among others in its price range. However, on sale for $450, this is the best bang for buck computer you could get. It games pretty good, crushes daily normal tasks, and has a pretty solid build. Sound and display are acceptable, battery is on the low side. Besides those small caveats, this thing is a steal at $450. If MSRP, I'd wait a while, but if you need something now, I'd recommend this one.

Only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because of the screen they used to build this laptop. Although it was only around 500 bucks I would’ve sent a little more if they used a better screen besides that it’s a beast for what it is. I got it for my 14 year old an he runs every heavy hitter game an this laptop runs cold as ice. If I would’ve waited until this year to buy a gaming pc it would’ve cost me more then double(besides the screen) home run

I'm very happy with this laptop as it's a massive upgrade in every category from my last lenovo i3. The green backlight keyboard is awesome in low light times. I added an extra 8gb of ram since it seemed what I was doing most often with my dj stuff in rekordbox effected the ram the most, but now it's running even better. First time I've also had an AMD based pc but no issues as of yet.

Extreamly good in almost every way for the price. great performance for most modern games and streaming at 720p separate of course. and best part at decent temps. id recomend geting a laptop fan with it for temps lower than 80 . bigest faults are the battery life and montior. honestly works better as a home computer with portabilty as a bonus.

Got this on Black Friday sale. Very affordable great processor. I like how they upgraded it to 1 stick of 8gb of ram which means I can install the spare 4gb of ddr4 ram that I have. I got this for 450. note a netbook or chromebook is around that price but this machine out performs both.

I had a Dell Laptop before this and hated it. This HP is exactly what I needed. Processor is very powerful considering its price being relatively low, 8 gb ram is sufficient for most tasks, and the gtx 1650 is excellent for gaming with most games. The only problem with it is its low storage space of only 256 gb ssd, but that can be solved with other means.
