best laptop i got been using from a year no issues

Nice laptop if you want to play sometimes and do homeworks, but is get quickly hot

This is my first beginner gaming laptop to play WOW (world of Warcraft). The graphics were great and it definitely was a good beginner gaming laptop. The fan did make some noise and decided to buy another fan to put underneath. I barely hear both the laptop and my table fan. Keyboard lights are a really nice feature. And the size of the laptop was bigger then I thought.

This works great for a beginner gamer. Has all the basic specs to really get good performance from most current gen games. The only issue I have (-1 star) is that it comes preloaded with a ton of HP software that isn't really needed. I think HP could use a lesson from Lenovo's Legion brand for example in providing minimal bloat.

I was needing a new laptop since my last one gave up and crashed. I've always wanted a gaming notebook, and this was the perfect intro into the laptops. So far, I am loving it. Not only do I use it for gaming, but also for my photography editing and video editing. Definitely recommend.

Great super fast and plays games smooth would recommend to anyone

I purchased this machine to replace an old laptop I use for music recording and production. I wanted something with a fast SSD to open up music projects quickly compared to the old HDD in my old laptop. I got this machine on sale at $700, which I think is a great price for it. For the purposes of music production, I was pretty satisfied with it. It definitely loads projects and games quickly. But I did start to bump into some issues when it comes to sustained reads and writes. I wanted to test out its gaming capabilities, so I used an external HDD to transfer games between my desktop and this machine. The write speeds were very slow when moving the games from the external HDD to this new machine. Slower than the read/write speed of the external HDD. I could see in task manager that the local C: drive on the laptop is pegged at 100%, so it is clearly the bottleneck. This sustained read/write performance problem was consistent throughout all game transfers, music file transfers, and even occurs moving files around within the C: drive. I tested this with and without Optane. I don't know if the one I purchased is defective, but compared to my other solid state systems, this drive performance is very poor. So I would say if you move large files around often, may sure that you are getting the advertised read/write speeds. As a gaming machine, the laptop is pretty impressive. It can deliver a great 1080p 60 fps experience in most modern AAA games with graphics settings set to medium/high. It can run some games up to 144 fps fairly easily (like Doom Eternal). The only problem is that the panel can only run at 60hz and 144 hz, with nothing in between. So if you wanted to cap the refresh rate at 90hz for example you cannot do that, and it is not a GSYNC panel, so if you like to game in that sweet spot of 90hz with the graphics settings a bit higher this machine won't really do that. My last negative on this system is that it is very loud. This thing constantly spins up like a jet engine. Even if you are just sitting on the desktop. When playing games it sounds like it is gearing up to launch you into orbit. Now this is pretty typical for gaming laptops, but the noise levels outside of gaming are kind of ridiculous. For music production, if you want a nice quiet environment, forget this machine. In summary, I think this is a good but flawed system. If you can get it on sale it may be worth it for gaming, but for productivity and office use it has some serious issues (poor sustained read/write speeds and high noise levels).

This is the best laptop I have purchased in my life time, I wanted a decent laptop for my gaming for high performance games like Skyrim and I’m absolutely in love with it, the Best Buy associate that assisted me was extremely informative and understood that I was on a budget, and it all took less than 30mins to get exactly what I needed.

I bought this computer for my son for online learning. It has plenty of power and great speakers. The graphic card is much better than most cheap laptops on the market. That's the biggest reason I bought this machine. I also bought the Dell G3 laptop for my daughter and this machine is equal if not better because of the bigger screen. You wont be disappointed.

When the newest version of my favorite pc game came out, it required more than my laptop was capable of, in all facets. I had no idea what to shop for, luckily the Best Buy staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I purchased this lovely machine. I absolutely love it. The speed and performance are mindblowing. Extremely satisfied customer!
