I love the laptop! Nice big screen 17.5" for older eyes. Its pretty easy to get around. Windows 8 (which is what came loaded) is getting easier for me, but than again I am not a very savvy computer user...lol

This computer does have some issues. The big one is Windows 8. It tends to run slowly at times and I wonder if Windows 8 is the reason. When I talked to someone at Office Max they said that 8 takes up a lot of memory to run. The person I talked to at Best Buy said is doesn't and that it would be a fast computer. The touchpad is a pain to use. I'd recommend getting a separate mouse. Overall it works, just not as well as I would have liked.

I purchased the HP Pavilion laptop as a travel desktop replacement. One big criteria for me was that it has a large clear screen, which this one does. The picture is very sharp and colors are reproduced very vibrantly. The other thing I needed is a built in CD/DVD drive. I have several pieces of software that I still have on CD/DVD making a built in drive a must. When you add in the Beats audio that comes with this laptop it puts the purchase over the top as an EXCELLENT value for a very solid portable computer.

I use this laptop to run an insurance agency and it works great!!! I love the 17 inch screen and the keypad on the right. For it's size it is light and still has a CD driver.

Big screen for those who cant see close, sounds system is nice and seems easy to use,have to get use to the newer windows system.

First laptop I've owned, I'm not a computer wiz, and this computer has been very easy to set up and use, is a nice big screen, pretty light weight I'm excited to learn!

The 17-inch screen and clarity is excellent. Good speed. I wish the keys on the keyboard were a bit higher.

This laptop has a huge screen that my wife loves as her eyesight is getting worse. It is very fast and does everything she needs it to do.

My XP desktop is nearing its end so decided on a laptop to replace it. Wanted to make sure I had a CD rom and at least 6 GB of memory. This lap top fits all my needs. Had a problem with Windows 8.1 finding where everything was so up loaded Classic Shell and now have a start button and the features of my XP. The HD screen is great. The speed is great.

Seams to be a good computer. Speed is better than the old one.. A lot to learn with the windows 8.1

For the cost it was a great buy. Big screen size and double the memory than like models with the same price. Very nice and good buy.

I just bought this laptop right after Christmas. I absolutely love the size of this screen. It has features that I didn't expect. My only complaint (and the reason I gave it 4 stars) is the touch pad. I have it set to sensitive but sometimes it still doesn't work right away.

Great laptop, 17 inch screen and graphics are awesome. Bought this because the price was so reasonable for what you get.

I bought this for my son to be able to play his games on. The computer had to have at least 6 GB RAM. I wanted an iCore 5 instead of iCore 3 because of processing speed. This computer had both and at a price less than $500.00. The 17" monitor will be nice for the gaming interface. Extremely excited about this purchase.

Seems to be a good computer at a decent price. Large 17 inch screen, sufficient memory and storage. Intel core 5 processor is certainly fast enough for everyday use. I wish that it had a backlit keyboard and light indicators on the numbers lock and caps lock.

I am an avid MMO gamer of many years and a hospitality executive. This has been my first laptop purchase for both business and leisure computing. Great device. Awesome processing speeds, good amount of memory for the every day processes, and super user friendly. As living a brand is my every day life ; I will always rely on HP and Best Buy for the gear I desire.

My old laptop monitor(10 years old) went south for the winter so I was looking for a new laptop to replace it. This was a clear choice for me with the large screen and thin design. Has everything I need for everyday use. My only gripe is the touchpad is very sensitive. I might be able to change the settings, but for now it works and I'll just deal with it.

im enjoying this laptop so far. great design , style, setup. the beats audio is pretty great. i can control sound by opening the beats audio control panel. not only that, but the screen size is bigger so it feels way more relaxing when watching online videos and tv shows.
