Great display if you need more real estate

This is a pretty nice display; I had to research QHD first - but it seems to mean Quad-HD / 2560x1440, so 4x the pixels of a ‘standard’ 1280x720 display but *not* yet 4k (3840x2160). Using the supplied HDMI cable I was able to connect it to my Dell TB16 docking station and configure it to use the 1440 resolution within Windows 10 in an instant and immediately noticed the difference. The monitor doesn’t have a height adjust, so I had to cut a 2x4 and put that under the stand, which also creates a cable track; the adjustments are limited to tilting up and down -- also, it can’t turn vertically. The display has a ‘quirky’ joystick on the back (that isn't easy to get to), to adjust the color, input method and even has a decent menu that tells you how many hours its been on (back-light hours). The power button is also on the back but towards the bottom, making it easier to press than the menu joystick. I’d say the bezel is ‘common’ - it’s not thick enough to stand out as an old design, but not bezel-less like some of the other screens. Finally, the screen is matte, not glossy - so there’s minimal-to-no reflection and this is a win in my mind. Snapping my web browser to one side & terminal emulator to the other allowed me to dig into a support case, while being able to easily reference internal databases without minimizing or moving to another monitor. I complemented this new screen, with my existing 24-in screens turned vertically; one on each side as you can see in the picture. This is my favorite layout! I have not experienced any lag, delays, color imperfections or dead pixels out of the box. I don’t have the ability to turn the lights off while in the office, so I can’t speak to light bleed - but the blacks are black; there’s no mistaking it. In adding this to my daily rig, I’ve become the envy of my group as it has absolutely helped me look like I’m doing more work.

Decent screen, but after less than 2 weeks I've got dots flashing all over the screen. I will return for something else.

I liked this monitor so much that I bought a second one! I use it when working from home, so two monitors is great to have. The image clarity and quality are great. The controls are easy to use. I have owned mine for about three years now, and never had any issues with either of them.

This is an excellent monitor for the money. I just use it for work - coding, office docs, email and the like. Don't watch video or play games with it, so I can't speak to that aspect. But for the office it has a great picture with good viewing angles and nice colors. I run it at 125% resolution just 'cause I don't like the smallish text, and I think it looks nice and readable at that zoom factor. I've read that the VESA mount for it is pretty weak, but thankfully I don't use that. The regular stand is okay, but not the most sturdy design. But for the price and the picture, I can easily forgive those weaknesses. If you're looking for a 32" monitor in this price range, I think this is the one to get.

Before this monitor I had a 27 4K lg monitor ehich was great but I wanted more real estate so I got this monitor yes it’s 1440p but it looks great 100% rgb makes it amazing for photo editing, people complain about gaming but I’ve had no issue playing destiny 2, there’s a game mode on the monitor and it supports free sync the monitor goes up to 75hz, I will admit though in the beginning the monitor had a uellowidh tint but if can calibrate it, it’s amazing

With the year going the way it has this turned out to be a great investment. Great picture, easy to connect and use. The built in blue light reduction feature is a nice touch as well. Having to stare at screens for 8 to 12 hours a day can be a little taxing on the eyes and even more so without that helping out. Highly recommend this, I also have a nice ASUS 32 inch monitor provided from work and I prefer the HP. Nice to see some quality in a brand name product.

    Best Monitor I've Ever Owned

By far, the best monitor I've ever bought, especially for reading text. I was worried the resolution was going to be too low for this size, and I strongly considered buying a 4k monitor. However, I am thrilled with the level of detail and the added screen real estate compared to a 1080p. Also, this monitor is actually native 75hz. Make sure your desk can fit this thing on it, and if it can't buy a new desk.

I have two of these monitors set up side-by-side in my home office. I do a lot of work that involves large MS Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint, often working between 2 spreadsheets at once or between MS Excel and PowerPoint. The size and resolution of these monitors allows me to look at different files side-by-side on the same monitor or on the separate monitors...a real time saver. I bought the first of my two monitors before we started “sheltering in place”, so I had the opportunity to go into my local Best Buy and, with the assistance of a very helpful Best Buy Associate, do some side-by-side monitor comparisons. I found that I could tell a real difference between this monitor and a lower resolution 1080 one. However, when I compared it to a 4K monitor, the difference was barely noticeable. Given the substantially higher price of the 4K monitor I was comparing it to, I chose this monitor. Couldn’t be happier with my choice. When they went on sale a couple of months after my initial purchase, I quickly bought a second one and had it shipped directly to my home. Can’t speak to other uses, but it’s proven to be the perfect addition to my home office.

    Monster Display, Meek Performance

Design: The HP - Pavilion 32" LED QHD Monitor is a monster of a display. This thing overpowers my desk in a highly impressive way. The bezels around the display are large for 2019, however overall appears thin and small in comparison to it's 32" display area. The stand is solid, however the inclusion of the optional VESA mount makes absolutely no sense. You connect it to the bottom rear of the display making this thing sit far higher than it should on a vesa mount arm. Most monitors hit somewhere in the middle, this thing is completely top heavy making the only mounting option to the wall. Ports: This thing comes packed with any port you may need: HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C/Display Port, 2 USB 3 Picture Quality/Resolution: at 2560x1440 resolution, the 32" size of this monitor becomes useless. This basically takes all of the possible screen real-estate you would get from a 4k resolution and simply "enlarges" it. Think of an acceptable 1440p on a 27" monitor but blown up. This may be good for people with vision problems, or, prefer extremely large text and windows, but for most people, this will be a productivity hindrance and offers no benefit over smaller monitors. The refresh rate is also only 60Hz and 7ms response making this a no go for gaming or watching video. Moving windows around or watching anything with motion presents extremely blurry. Even with the inclusion of Freesync and a "game" mode, response times are pathetic and this should not be considered by anyone wishing play games. The brightness on this display is also terrible. This display lacks the ability to get anywhere close to "white" and colors are extremely dull and flat. Given the poor brightness though, this does result in slightly better than average black levels. This is not to say the display has good blacks either, but due to the dim lighting, the illusion of better blacks is apparent and helps to eliminate clouding or spot lighting effects. Other than this thing looks cool being so big, I do not see the point of why this exists. It has poor gaming performance and should never be considered by any gamer. It has poor resolution and should not be considered for office use as productivity cannot be increased without a second monitor. It's colors are poor and response time to high that it cannot be used to properly watch video. The only use case I can see for this display is someone with vision problems needing a magnified screen. Even with that, the poor brightness and color accuracy coupled with blurry window movement will likely not appeal to anyone. I highly recommend avoiding this monitor as mostly all costs. Do not let the price sway you into thinking "32" monitor at this price point" is a good deal. Monitors of this size really almost mandate a 4k resolution to be useful.

Great picture. Fairly easy to set up and use. Just make sure that you have enough room on your desk for it. The stand is not adjustable vertically (which is mentioned in other ratings) so it barely fits under my top bookshelf. Overall, I'd recommend it.

Got this after my old BenQ gaming monitor stopped working. I tried to find another gaming monitor but wasn't having much luck, so went with this HP. I'm pleasantly surprised. While I wouldn't recommend it for competitive gaming due to the specs, it's fantastic for casual gaming and general home use (streaming, work, etc.) The display is large and bright gorgeous contrast and color. I've had no display issues such as backlight bleed (which my BenQ did have). I'm very happy with this so far. For reference I've used it to play games such as Skyrim, Tomb Raider, Warhammer, Assassin's Creed, Divinity, and Pillars of Eternity. Also streamed through Netflix and Amazon and the movies look great! My only complaint is the stand is a bit wobbly and just not very well designed in general, but it's not the worst stand I've ever seen.

I bought this monitor to work from home since my Dell was not syncing up well with a regular flat panel TV I use with a Macbook Pro computer. So I thought a real PC monitor would do the trick and it did. I work with Autocad and Navisworks 3D modeling on the computer and this monitor has been great. The value it offers was the best I saw at the store that day and I do not regret my purchase one bit. It gets the job done, the picture is beautiful and regular font on e-mail, or Excel are also easy to read. The refresh rate is solid and there are no line on screen as I would see with the same laptop while using that other flat panel TV as monitor. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Love my monitor. Makes me feel I am watching tv than being on a computer. But because of that fact, I have found myself being on my computer more. It really has enhanced my experience. The display is excellent and the refresh rate is solid. Blows my mind that only about six or seven years ago, I had a tv the same screen size that weighed a ton. Recommend this to anyone who is looking to upgrade their computer viewing experience.

At first I thought I went a little big on the screen size but quickly realized that they were just right as I got used to them. With COVID I’ve been using them for work and gaming (MMO and Tabletop). The real estate you have with these is a life saver, the only bad thing will be going back to my 23” at the office. Have them using DisplayPorts and HDMI and no issues switching back and forth depending on what I’m using them for. Stand is a little lacking on movement but easily overcome.

Excellent monitor, all inputs work as expected. I wish it had PBP but I knew it didn't before buying. No dead pixels, great viewing angles. Marginal light bleeding along the edges but not something I notice. I use it mostly for work but sometimes watch movies on it. Images look excellent. All that said, I wouldn't pay more than $250 for it. The reason I say that is because it doesn't do anything special. It's just a big monitor with USB-C input. I still gave it 5 stars because it does everything it says it does and HP always does great with their monitors IMO. They do great with no-frills monitors. This means I don't need to deal with gimmicky options. Also, this is NOT a gaming monitor! It's a 60Hz, 5ms monitor...This is for people who want a BIG family monitor or work monitor. Lastly, here's a subjective opinion: this thing is tall. Taller than I expected. I came from a 24in monitor so it was a bit of an adjustment for me. Still getting used to it tbh and I try to sit far away from it.

I purchased 2 of these to be mounted on adjustable arms. Monitor use and image quality is great. However, the VESA adapter mounts on the bottom of the monitor as apposed to the middle of the mo it or like most. Due to this location of the VESA mount, the monitor is top heavy and falls forward when mounted on the hydraulic arm, even though it weighs 3 lbs less than the max rated weight of the hydraulic adjustable arm mount. Ended up having to invert the monitors until I can have a proper adapter made.
