Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Value for what you pay. If you're looking for a solid machine that will provide all the functionality you need in a desktop home used machine. WOuld have been 5 stars but does not come with additional display ports, only VGA and an SSD would be nice, but would have driven the cost up accordingly. Overall, great experience.

Not as thrilled as I should be
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I checked this product online and read the reviews before buying. Bought an open box unit and saved a good bit of money. However, the computer brought home isn't the same model that was advertised. There are no expansion ports, no HDMI ports as advertised. There are 6 USB ports instead of 8. It has been checked by Geek Squad, and I am 100% sure of that fact as I am holding their "MRI 5.10.1 working MBAM" disk (that was mistakenly left in the computer's disk drive) hostage in case the unit mysteriously dies shortly after the warranty expires. I'm not going to complain too much, because it does work as it should and I really didn't spend that much money on it. Just be careful when buying an open box unit.

Good machine for casual use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an entry level desktop, this machine meets expectations. Biggest issues I have seen is that it really doesn't like you using IE11 (it's unresponsive and slow, possibly by design), however the new Windows 10 browser works pretty good. I guess that will help me move away from IE. Chrome also works pretty well in Windows 10. Has adequate internal memory, nice big hard drive, optical drive and processor is good as long as you aren't doing heavy gaming or video editing, etc.

I loved my last HP, and I love this one more.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a HP before for 7 years and loved it. When I went to purchase a new one the sales clerk at another Best Buy suggested that I purchase an Apple. He said that they do not have as many problems as HP does. They hardly ever get one in for repair. Well, I purchased one, and I took it back within 6 days and purchased another HP. It is so easy to operate and is not complex like the Apple was. So far I enjoy operating the HP Pavilion. I also love the Windows 10 that is already installed in the HP Pavilion. I had Windows 7 before which I liked, then the Apple had 8.0 which I did not like. Windows 10 is much easier to run than Windows 8.0.

Seems functional
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Computer seems to function well. However, Windows 10 is a NIGHTMARE!! It messed up my email reception, so I could not access new passwords which were sent by ! email !! I don't like the presentation of the games which I previously enjoyed. Worse yet, they present in a very small window. Beside the game there is an obnoxious ad running, distracting me from the entertainment of the game. I no longer enjoy playing the games. It was necessary to hire a tech to help us navigate Windows 10. We have had a computer for many years. The last time we purchased a new computer, it was not necessary to hire a tech and then spend endless hours figuring out the new system. I was angry to find out that I had to purchase "Office home and student". This cost an extra $150 which we didn't plan on spending. It was included with the purchase of the last 2 computers.

System is ok, Win10 is very buggy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system isn't bad, A8 processor is slow, I'd have preferred an i7..but for the price, it's ok. I've heard good things about Win10, but on this combination of hardware, it sucks! Very buggy, to the point that I can't even get it to successfully download the Nov. 2015 Win10 update. It keeps crashing. I've given up on Win10, I'm running Ubuntu 15.10, and am happy with that. If I had it to do over, I'd have spent more and gone with an i7 based system.
