Wouldn't recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the computer to use the Internet and check emails. The computer is very slow. I brought it back into the gig squad and they told me there's nothing they can do for me. The computer cost 399 and they recommend spending 350 to speed it up

No
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a senior. The Windows 10 program is a complete change and will require retraining just to turn it on. Previously devices came with usable programs. These new systems are set up for you to have to pay a yearly fee of on average of $100.00 to use such programs. None of your present records can be converted and be moved into this new system. You will have to start everything from scratch. So maintain your present computer or all your records will be lost.. . The new latest greatest for the next generation leaves the existing generation out of its equation. Had I been told this before making the purchase L would bought Apple.

Piece of junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old hp computer that had died with this model! first off it was very slow from the get go, the sound went out the third day, restarted it and the sound came back! after that I knew I'd better take it back! It had no weight to it, no expansion ports, the keyboard was smaller and the disc loader is cheesy! so i went back and exchanged it for a lenovo! there's no comparison! I'm sold on the Lenovo brand.

Pretty disappointed in purchase..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very disappointed in this computer.. The sales guy told me it was a good bang for your buck computer. I told him I wanted an above average computer and I didn't want it to be slow.. Well it is very slow and always reboots itself or I have to reboot it because it freezes.. And sometimes I have to wait minutes not seconds to surf from internet page to page.. On top of that it came with 8 different virus protection companies already downloaded on it and they all just slow up computer and I can't seem to uninstall them... I love Best Buy.. But this is one of my worse purchases ever

Had to return it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looked really great, but after loading all my programs and files it died and would no longer boot. Best Buy was great about returning it and traded it for a different brand.

Don't buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had good luck and bad luck with HP computers. This was bad luck. Just days after buying the computer was freezing up on me. If I tried to download a picture or access my external hard drive it would freeze up. I spent a long time with tech support and though we had resolved the issue. We didn't. It was also painfully slow. I had the computer for a month and then I bought another new one.

Lost internet connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 1st desktop I purchased would intermittently loose it's connection to the internet regardless if hardwired or wi-fi. After a couple of hours with HP offshore support with language barriers I exchanged it for the same model. The 2nd one did exactly the same thing so I got a refund. Best Buy was wonderful and will buy from them again. HP used to make great things, no longer it seems.

Nothing special but not bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to have to work on some Cisco Certs along with my laptop. First thing I did was reinstall Windows 10 from the full version iso. Installed Windows on 450 Gb. I installed Linux Mint 17.3 on the remaining drive. Mint installed fine in secure boot mode under UEFI. The machine is not a speed demon considering it is running an AMD A8 quad core at 2.0 Ghz and 8 Gb DDR3 ram. In the near future I will upgrade ram to 16 Gb. While not the fastest thing it performs adiquately for what I will be using it for. I would recommend this computer to someone needing a decent system that is on a tighter budget. I would also recommend a clean install of the OS on it once it is set up.
