Right from the box, this started working good, need to remove Macfee virus as this takes too much memory. The start-up is slow, as it takes 2-3 time to get the login screen. Good for the kids!

The wifi device on the PC did not work right after initial setup. HP phone support wasted my time trying to reactivate drivers. They then wanted me to reload Windows 10 and reconfigure everything. This is all stuff that should have been checked out at the factory before shipping. Plus the warranty information brochures were of two copies both in Spanish, none in English. I will take it back and look for something else. Big waste of my time and disappointed in HP, again.

This has been a good computer for us. I'm taking it for repairs. It has program issues from the beginning.

It worked well the first couple of weeks but then became extremely noisy, sounding like it was constantly updating itself. I checked online to see if anyone else had the problem and no one seemed to so I figured I'd gotten a lemon and would just have to put up with the noise until it died. But last week I purchased new AVG Ultimate antiviral software and ran its complete scan which eliminated the screen picture and a lot of loose ends and it's no longer noisy. So if the noise doesn't reappear, I'm reasonably satisfied with it.

If you need a decent and cheap entry level computer, then this is definitely worth it. The Ryzen series is a pretty solid chipset.

I didn’t like this desktop computer-it’s cheap and can handle only browsing and basic tasks. Returned it the next day after purchase.

I bought this computer to replace an HP - Pavilion I had for 8 years. I was displeased from the moment I pulled it out of the box. The casing appears cheap and the disk slot is extremely flimsy. This computer is slow and froze up 3 times in the first week of use. I do not recommend this computer!

It's what I could afford at the time, and figured it would be okay if I got 3 years out of it. I did not use it right away. It's slow.. About a years worth of use, and my hard drive has gone bad.

I found the desktop to be just OK. It really had issues with my monitors. I called HP and they were not help at all telling me to contact the monitor manufacturer when I knew full well the issue was with the desktop. I ended up having to buy another desktop.

Great Value After Updating & Tweaking The Software

This computer is quite impressive, but it was frustrating at first. It took me hours to uninstall of the HP software, McAfee software, run all of the Windows updates, and defragment the hard drive. I had to go online and figure out how to kill the "Service Host: Delivery Optimization" process, because task manager showed me that it was consistently running the the hard drive at 100%, and thereby preventing the normal operation of the computer. Once I got the 1803 update to Windows 10, this problem went away, and the process runs with no problem now. I also turned off file indexing and system restore. At the end of everything, I ran the disk defragmenter, which took some time to complete. Once these steps were complete, the computer runs like a dream. The keyboard is full size and nice, and I like the mouse. It runs smoothly and quietly whenever I am using it. I was able to sort through hundreds of gigs of photos and files smoothly and without a problem. The computer plays streaming videos, plays music, surfs the web and helps me sort my many, many files that I was organizing from years worth of just throwing files onto increasingly larger hard drives. Nothing that I use this computer for seems to slow it down. I paid $379.99, which was down a bit from the normal price due to a 4th of July sale. I think that I am getting my money's worth. My only complaint is that I had to do so much tech. work getting the computer set up.

    Great Computer with few upgrades.

This was the first computer that I bought and I wanted it to play Fortnite and do school work. I knew that I should upgrade it a little bit to do that. I bought 16gb corsair 2666Mhz ram, gtx 1050, and I think a 128gb m.2 ssd. I made windows boot from the m.2 ssd, and with all of these parts, after you uninstall all of the unnecessary programs, this computer is great. I can get 120 FPS pretty easily on lowish settings on Fortnite and the m.2ssd makes the computer run very fast. I bought with it a kill a watt meter which measures how many watts you are using since this computer only has a 180 watt power supply I wanted to make sure I do not go over or even closee to it. While running fortnite I had around 80-100 watts which is fine and while not playing fortnite around 30-50 watts. Great computer and if you have any questions or comments you can reply to this review :)
