I have had this HP PC from Best Buy for about a month now. The best thing about this PC is that it comes with a SSD (solid state) hard drive. This is like flash memory - a hard drive with no moving parts. The Windows 10 operating system, software, and swap disk space are on this drive. This alone makes the PC run faster. The Intel i3 8th generation CPU is supposedly faster than the 7th generation i5 processor. The 8GB RAM helps too. The PC also comes with a separate mechanical hard disk drive with 1TB of storage. This is used to store data files, such as photos, videos, music, and documents. The other pluses to this PC are a built-in DVD-writer drive, although it is kind of cheap, like a laptop drive. I do not like how it pops out sideways. This alone is why I did not give it 5 stars. It also has a wireless AC network card, as well as a wired gigabit ethernet port. This helps with the speed for internet and local network. It also has a built-in SD card reader, USB 3.0 ports, including a USB-C port. The tower itself is smaller than expected and light-weight. Overall, I really like this desktop tower PC for under $500. I highly recommend it for those who do not want to spend a lot on a new PC. BONUS: This tower has 2 DIMM RAM memory slots. It comes with 1 filled with 8GB RAM. So I purchased another 8GB RAM DIMM module for $40 at Best Buy. After installing it in the empty slot, the PC now has 16GB RAM, which also really helps with processing speed. I also highly recommend doing this if you edit video or run a lot of programs, including internet browsers, at the same time.

This computer stop working after 5 months. I never had this kind of issue even with a laptop. It’s covered with a warranty for a year, but I have to send it to HP and so on.... I would strongly not recommend this product.

This PC is fast beyond any I have ever used. Boots up as soon as I turn it on. Programs open instantly with the SSD. Plenty of RAM and storage. I could not be happier. It is perfect for videos, very sharp resolution.

Easy to set up, went flawless. Went to hp and updated bios and other programs. easiest bios update I ever did, just don't turn off the computer. This thing is lighting fast compared to my old computer, do to the ssd drive. This is no advanced gaming system, but is a perfect computer for surfing and daily use. I got a certified open box for another $30off. Use well worth it everything was there and working, I am very happy.

    So many issues

I set up computers for my office often and this one is by far the worst. Constant connections issues to the internet and server. I've had a hard time waking it up several times and had to hard re-boot twice which made me lose unfinished work. Also intermittent issues with speed and programs shutting down randomly. It has been fun to deal with. Feel like I got a lemon. ??

For some reason, HP decided to set this computer up with 2 logical drives. Most of the space is on "D" drive. This creates a number of problems for the average user. Everyone else that I know of sets the PC up with just "C" drive. EVERYTHING defaults to "C" drive. It dosen't do any good calling HP. They just keep passing you around and can't answer why this was done or how to get around this problem. The only way I know of is to reformat the drive. This is my first and last HP computer.
