Good PC if you want something to connect to your tv and use it has a media PC. The newer model has a better processor but this one does the job. Quit and runs cool

Just needed this machine to remote into my work computer. My laptop had crashed and was going to take time to diagnose. I needed an inexpensive, base machine for remote work. I've also started using it to transfer cassette tapes to mp3. Works fine. I would recommend this if you don't need a workhorse.

This device replaces my desktop PC. I was looking for something small, fast, and reliable. It’s a recent purchase, so my experience with it is very limited. This particular device came with a HGST 2.5 inch 500GB 7mm 7200RPM hard drive. Although it is a nice drive, I replaced it with a Crucial 512GB MX100 solid state drive. This particular device also came with a 4GB Samsung PC12800 204-Pin SODIMM chip. I installed a matching 4GB chip to bring total memory to 8GB’s. The unit came with a wireless keyboard, mouse, and a large (in my opinion) USB adapter. I can’t comment about the keyboard or mouse because I never tried them. Instead, I connected my Unicomp buckling spring USB keyboard and a Logitech M510 wireless mouse to the computer. The Logitech mouse uses a micro USB adapter because the mouse is not Bluetooth. The mouse is not always running smoothly with this system so I may end up replacing it with a Bluetooth mouse. I run two 24 inch HDMI monitors with one connected to the HDMI port and the other connected to the DisplayPort. With my hardware upgrades complete, I then worked on cleaning out the system of software I didn’t want including multiple programs from CyberLink. I installed Webroot Secure Anywhere to provide firewall, antivirus, and antispyware protection. Webroot is excellent because it uses very little system resources. I made these changes before doing anything else, so my experiences is based on an upgraded unit. Startups after a complete shutdown are very fast, just a few seconds. Running MS Office is also very quick. I wanted to see how the graphic card could handle 1080P HD videos from YouTube. I ran one in Chrome and noticed significant stuttering and frame drops. The CPU was also working hard running the video. I hooked up my Dell laptop to one of my monitors and tested the same video. The Dell laptop uses an i5-4210U processor. The Dell laptop performed better but still appeared to have some frame drops. I then tried viewing the videos through Internet Explorer. With Internet Explorer, this machine had no problems playing 1080p HD videos and the CPU was running between 10% and 15%. The video performance was very smooth. I decided to ramp up the test by running a different 1080p HD video on the second monitor. The device had no problems running two different simultaneous 1080p HD videos through Internet Explorer. The CPU was running between 20% and 30% doing this. I tried out some Windows 8.1 games including Asphalt 8: Airborne, GT Racing 2, and Last Hope – Zombie Sniper 3D. All 3 games played smoothly. I was able to set Zombie Sniper 3D to the highest graphic settings and it worked great, although the CPU was working at over 50% and after a while, I could hear the cooling fan working (still very quiet). So as far as casual gaming goes, which is all I do anyways, this machine is just fine in my opinion. Overall, I am happy with the purchase. I am glad HP went 100% USB 3.0 with this device.

Great little desktop for basic tasks. The two reasons it doesn't get 5 stars are the dongle for the wireless keyboard and mouse isn't built in and sticks out quite a ways compared to what Logitech uses for its devices, and there's no way to mount this to a back of a monitor.

Intended for 7 year old. We didn't want him limited with a chromebook so we got him windows with chrome if he needs it for school. We think the price reasonable compared to other micro systems out there. As far as performance, minecraft and other lighter graphics games ran fine.
