Loved the little thing for what I was trying to do with it but could not recharge it after a few uses. Bought a new charger but it would not work. Finding out on line that it is a problem with this model & HP is not responding to it

I purchased this item and after only an hour's use it locked me out. The geek squad couldn't even unlock it and recommended I return it and purchase something else. I took their advice.

After completing all of the updates, it locked me out. Took it back to Best Buy and they couldn't fix it so I traded it for a Surface 3 which I am very happy with

    Purchased as a gift...

After reading plenty of reviews (both Best Buy and other sources) on various devices in this size range, it was pretty conclusive that this hybrid tablet was the perfect combination of value($) & functionality. This device was purchased as a gift, and after months of use the recipient is very pleased. Lightweight, crisp display, very functional keyboard design, and speed (when it comes to simple everyday use) are all highlights of this computer. Only downfall to the tablet is available memory. My suggestion is to purchase the largest option. 32GB is mid-range cellular phone storage capability. This device runs Windows 10, and will barely allow you to run any large Windows updates successfully without maxing out the storage. Put simply, go bigger with storage, but a great device and highly recommended.

bought this last Thanksgiving. The good: it's small and fairly light. Screen is good. Speakers are fairly good. The bad: the computer disconnects from wifi. Touch screen works 80% of the time. For the keyboard to work you have to hold the screen in place or it will disconnect from the keyboard. With a better magnet/connection and a higher quality wifi connection this would be a real winner.

    Poor audio plagues this device.

I've never heard of B&O before purchasing this 2 in 1 device. After research, I'm lead to believe that the Danish company would at least know audio as they seem to strive to be a high end audio company. I seriously believe that they didn't actually review this device's performance before letting HP stamp their logo on it. The audio is about poor as you can possible experience in any type of device. The speakers are mid-range at best. Plugging in a headset actually makes the flaws more obvious. Plugging in an earbud set that sounds amazing on my phone and any other device, the audio setup on this 2-in-1 makes the audio sound like I took a $2 set of headphones, ripped off the tiny cheap plastic speakers and threw them in a tin can. The audio is mainly all high end and some mid-range frequencies. Yes, I did try other headsets and experienced the same exact issues. Bottom line, the audio hardware inside this device sucks. Windows 10 works well on the computer most of the time. Occasionally the device lags a bit if big applications open up. This is easily attributed to the ATOM processor inside. There is one hardware issue that does exist. When docking the tablet to the keyboard, one has to make sure to hold the tablet by the speaker grills and not by the touch screen. Sometimes where you are touching the screen while docking the tablet will get stuck as a registered touch screen point. The only solution to fix this is to reboot the tablet if this happens. To avoid it, hold the speaker grills when docking. The hinge is strong enough for pretty much any angle of viewing. The ability to reverse the tablet to the keyboard (what manufacturers typically sell as presentation mode) is good. The hinge gives slightly when pushing on the screen but not enough to be an issue. There's a lot of bloatware on this computer when you get it. Take the time to get rid of the fluff in PROGRAMS AND FEATURES section of windows. Also, a decent amount of drivers do need to be updated. Would I recommend this to a friend? I guess it depended on the person. To my mom? No. I'd have them spend a few more dollars and get more reliable hardware. To someone who is traveling and looking for something small enough to pack into their carry-on? Yes. This will do fine...As long as you don't plan on listening to music.

    An excellent tablet alternative

I hadn't even heard of this device until I saw it on this website, and I was intrigued. I was considering the purchase of another iPad, but decided to try one of these, and I am glad that I did, especially given the great difference in price. The ability to switch between keyboard and tablet modes is very useful, as is the ability to link to my Microsoft account, which gives me access to anything stored on my PC. I will be using mu iPad a lot less now. Highly recommended.

Good concept, not a very good execution

I liked this little fellow, perfect for some school work - I use it to take notes in classes. But it let me down when I traveled to Big Bear and wanted to do some schoolwork. Hotel's 2.4 ghz wifi channel was crowded badly, but 5 ghz worked awesome...on my android phone. But this tablet DOES NOT SUPPORT 5 ghz wifi! Really? This is a big time let down for me, I wasn't able to do a single thing on it. Pros: Design, quality materials, concept, battery life is good Cons: WiFi doesn't support 5 ghz! Bluetooth seems laggy, my HP mouse sometimes just freezes and jumps.

    Not Compatible with Bundled Software

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I like this product overall, though it is a bit slow. I like that the tablet is detachable and there is no hard drive (delicate moving parts). I especially like the price. On the downside, the touchpad has (after little more than a month) started to sag on the lower right corner. The tablet part is quite a bit heavier than the keyboard, so the whole thing is unsteady except on a stable flat surface. Worst of all, the bundled Webroot Secureanywhere software requires a registry hack to work with the keyboard and has disabled the display controls (false positive on the drivers).

I've had this laptop for the last two weeks and I've enjoyed my experience with it so far. I've been using it both as a standard laptop and as a stand alone tablet, the latter mainly as an e-reader. It's got a great screen, and Windows 10 shines in tablet mode. I think it's a great buy if you are looking for a duo purpose computer.

    10 Days

    Posted .

Yep, the unit I got only lasted 10 days ... by the tenth day, it was hard to start, and then it just would show the HP screen after boot-up. When I looked at it at the store, it looked and felt like a great unit, but when I got home the power supply (at the plug in the wall and at the connector to the tablet) always felt hot when recharging ... it always made me nervous. After the "HP Screen of Death", I drove it in to Best Buy, who allowed me to trade it in for a Samsung tablet ... the Samsung has a smaller screen, I need to buy a case for it, and eventually I will need to buy a bluetooth keyboard - and I spent $50 more for the Samsung, but I just didn't want to jump through all of the hoops when I sent it in HP to fix ... it is just that the Samsung feels better put together, and something should work a little longer than 10 days. Also, if you look out on the internet, there are messages noting issues with the Pavillion. I'll miss the Windows operating system but wasn't married to the concept ... if you want to get a decent tablet that runs Windows, probably your best bet is to go with a Surface. (I just didn't want to pay that much additional for it) If you get it, I wish you luck.

I used my computer the first couple of days I had it, then got busy and it sat in a padded case for about 2 weeks. When I went to use it again, it was dead and wouldn't turn on or charge. I already had to send it back to the service center. Besides that problem, it is very, very slow.

Nothing but keyboard problems. Plain and simple the keyboard and mouse pad worked for 2 weeks. I will never buy HP anything again. Just for fun Google about the keyboard problems. literally 10000 problems and no fixes. May or may not ever do bestbuy anymore either.... not sure. Madder than %$@$ If I could rate it less .... I would
