Love my HP Laptop. It’s compact, light weight and easy to use. It’s also cool to have a touchscreen!

I was looking for a small, lightweight laptop/tablet combo and this hit the mark. With a 14" screen and less than 4#, I have the best of both worlds. Still learning all of the tricks and getting used to being able to just work off the screen instead of clicking a mouse or buttons, but enjoying every minute. SO happy to have an updated piece of equipment. Only downfall is that it does not have an internal modem. I have to hardwire, Bluetooth or wi-fi my internet. I will work through this.

First, this is a PC, and I am an Apple user. So why did I buy this? In short, to have speedier access to OneDrive and Number Cruncher (I removed Parallels from the Mac). Though far from perfect, the machine was easy to set up, and has been fairly easy to learn and get used to. I have had help from my son, who can flip from OS to PC with relative ease, but this HP fits my fingers (my hands are big), has backlit keys, and is fairly fast. Disclaimer: I am not a gamer

We bought this to replace an older DELL that would not keep a charge and got to the point that it became sluggish. As soon as I set this laptop up for her and transferred her data, she was amazed at the speed of it. Just the right size (14") for her, she has not put it down since.Lot's of drive space and memory for every day use. I am actually thinking about replacing my HP15" with this for every day use.

I was looking for a high performing, smaller form factor, touchscreen laptop - something portable, but capable (3D modeling, occasional gaming). It delivers on those points. 2 considerations - 1) this converts to tablet form, but for me this it pretty awkward - it's heavy for that and with this design the keyboard is exposed. I wasn't looking for that, so not a negative. 2) the edges are sharp. Resting your hands on the front edge or resting the unit on your lap (it is a *lap*top) can be uncomfortable (if pressing into your belly). I added some self adhesive foam to cushion the edge then later ran some very fine sandpaper around the rest of the edges. That was something that never occurred to me to think about when looking at in the store. Not a deal breaker, but...

I am very pleased with the touch screen, though part and size of this fast laptop.

It has more power than I need but that's a good thing. I live the 360 degree folding and the touch screen features. The Solid State drive really makes things faster. The color is subtle and the texture keeps fingerprints from showing all over. The size and weight are nice as well. Not too heavy or too big to carry around and deal with on an airplane.

We bought this to replace an older laptop that we used mainly as a desktop plugged into monitor and keyboard/mouse. We went with a 2 in 1 so we had the mobility and usefulness of a new tablet, but could still do all the home office and work tasks of a new laptop. This does all that. Really the only issue is the smaller HD (reason for 4 stars vs 5). We have a TB external tied to it and keep all our documents there and it works but I plan to replace the drive with a larger one. So far it has been doing what we wanted, is mobile so we actually take it with us, works to watch movies etc while traveling and has enough power to run PowerPoint, excel, word duties for work when needed.

I love this laptop because it's so durable, easy to move around and super lightweight. I don't know much about computers but I requested for a super fast computer and that is what this is. I have downloaded so many documents and my computer isn't slow. I also never thought I would prefer Microsoft Edge to Chrome, but with this computer, I do.

The laptop arrives in good shape and I really liked it at first. It's quick and looks nice. Price is good. The battery is about 5-6 hours (not 9 hours as advertised) at low power mode with just simple internet surfing and going between tabs. Sound is not that good, but I'm okay with it. And like some people have said, the fan is a bit loud (only a bit for me) and it does heats up. However, that's not my biggest concern. The mouse-pad starts glitching after about a week. First, I can press /click the mouse pad but cannot move the mouse anywhere. After restarting and updating the computer, the mousepad works well again. A few hours later the mouse pad stops working again. I restarted the computer and the mouse is fine. I was going to keep the laptop, but if it starts glitching like this only after 1 week of use, then I don't know what will happen after a few months of use. Not to mention the other drawbacks (battery life, fan, etc.) I don't like returning laptop and buying new one and set up everything again, but I'm glad that it at least glitches before the 15day mark so I can return the laptop. Hopefully I don't have to pay for shipping fee since it's the product's fault.

I picked this laptop out of the group available at my local Best Buy primarily for schoolwork, Youtube, etc. Pros: It is very light and easily portable, good battery life, bright screen, good keyboard responsiveness and feel. Cons: Possibly Windows10's fault, but random graphic glitches occur such as vertical bars randomly flashing on the side of the screen, large amount of bloatware initially installed that I had to delete, etc. Overall, 4/5 seems like a fair rating. I don't really use the touchscreen features, but it should be fine for anyone who prefers to use the laptop as a tablet. The SSD is pretty quick so boot times, file and program downloads/installations are fast, and the available storage is more than enough for my music, photos, and documents. This is no gaming PC, and sometimes even streaming shows causes the fan to crank up into high gear, but I didn't buy the laptop to be an entertainment center so it's not that big of an issue.

Great laptop! not too heavy. Has gotten me through 3 years of college so far. Wish it had a cd player, but thats okay! not too big & not to small. Runs fast. NO complaints. However 3 years later it is now half the price I originally paid for it. Oh well.

I purchased this labtop after returning a new ASUS i7 labtop. I find the HP to weigh considerably less , and in my opinion seems to be higher quality. I really like this computer and am very happy with it. It flips into a notepad as well and it’s touch screen. Great deal for the price!

The computer is small, light weight and durable. The 2:1 computer and tablet mode is great. When I am at a deck, I have access to traditional keyboard. When I am on the go meeting with client, switching to tablet mode is great for writing down notes and sketching ideas.

Quiet, fast and easy to navigate with several locking options. Password, pin or fingerprint. I personally haven't had much luck using the fingerprint method. Love the touch screen and the mouse pad isn't over sensitive. Still new to me, but so far a great computer.

I am extremely pleased with this laptop. It replaced my HP Touchsmart desktop, so I have it hooked into a docking station into a monitor so I still have the feel of a desktop with the mobility of a laptop. The fold back lid is awesome when sitting in the recliner. The battery life is just ok, but I do not put it into energy savings mode so I do not expect to get a full 8 -10 hours of battery life. I also own this same series, but with a 15 inch screen. We bought them one week apart from each other. I prefer the smaller screen for surfing from the recliner. This model also has the back-lit keypad, which the 15 inch screen does not, and this is a big deal when sitting in a dark room. I highly recommend this laptop.

Love this size and weight, as it is smaller and easy to take with me. Love the touch screen, but can be sensitive. But this is probably the issue with all touch screens. Using basically for emails and internet. Would buy again. Store clerk was very helpful on answering all my questions,

I'm still getting used to the laptop, but the functionality is superb, the colors and pictures are vibrant and sharp and it is easy to use and lightweight to transport and flipping it for touch screen is great. I wonder why I waited so long - I love it!

I love my HP Pavilion laptop. It is stylish and lightweight. I absolutely love the keyboard on this laptop-especially the back lighting. I bought this one because I destroyed my old HP laptop by spilling coffee on it. .it's a gonner. Compared to my old laptop, this one is half the weight, the keys on the keyboard have a lighter touch and I feel that the display is much nicer. Should have spilled that coffee long ago! I recommend this laptop for those who use it for home office, sending/receiving email, surfing the web and playing games on occasion. But if you want a laptop exclusively for gaming, buy something more suited for that purpose. This concludes my review.
