Surprised to find this updated model at Bestbuy, previously only available overseas. Can confirm the one I bought has a faster processor and more memory. The learning curve is steep though to use more advanced features.

I went with this over the new TI-Nspire CX II CAS due to the more powerful internals and quieter keyboard. There is no doubt, the HP Prime is built well for the most part, and its very fast. My only real gripe, and its a huge one, is with the display. The touch part is fantastic and surprisingly responsive, but the viewing angle and display resolution are just horrible. Considering how much I paid, every time I pick it up and turn it on, I am very disappointed and frustrated. HP could have easily sourced a high-res display with a better viewing angle. Come on, cheap phones have better displays than this calculator. Make me angry.

This calculator does the job very well. It is a powerful device with plenty of memory and powerful processor. The installed program is amazing.

This will survive all the way through engineering school. The previous generation is still running after 30+ years of use.

I have enjoyed this calculator, and using it has led to the app version becoming the default calculator on my phone. The price is painful. Whether it is worth the price may be a difficult question, but if you can afford it and can benefit from it, it deserves consideration.

This is a great calculator and does everything. Bought for high school student - too advanced for high school teachers...

Calculator capability is outstanding. Biggest problem is a steep learning curve as evidenced by a 700+ page User Guide. Unfortunately, the User & Quick Start Guides are supplied as PDF files and not as printed pages

Still purchased this even though I knew it was being discontinued. MUCH faster than TI or Casio equivalents and the graphing is superior as well. Some quirks that I can live with regarding some aspects of data entry.

Great college level calculator. Has a steeper learning curve than its TI competitor, but once you learn how to use it effectively it is better.

Totally happy with it. Love the RPN entry. Has a great quality feel. It's a permanent addition to my EDC office backpack.

It is approved for use at most universities, and it was prob way over kill for Math 054. But I think that it was good practice getting to use it.

Excellent advanced scientific graphical calculator. The is the perfect companion for college. The quality and price is unbeatable.

Really good. Always have used Texas instruments just because of school but I prefer the setup here. Also the touch screen makes it so much faster for computations.
