this desktop is very quiet and very fast. it boots up amazingly quickly, which i love, being an impatient person. i mostly use it to watch DVDs and play music. it performs those tasks well. the DVD drive is amazingly quiet. from booting up to pressing play on a DVD, i literally can't hear a single sound. ??? i don't understand it, but i appreciate it. i'm not an expert but my research suggested that the i3 in this machine provides great bang for your buck, and that has proven to be true. one more thing i'd like to mention: the first five-or-so times i booted it up, it was slow. i very nearly packaged it back up and brought it to Best Buy, like an idiot. thankfully i gave it a couple more tries and sure enough, it's now blazing fast. i think it was related to Windows updates. you have to let Windows incorporate all of the changes and whatnot, and it can seem slow at first, but once it settles in you'll see a major uptick in boot time.

I found good things for this HP 6300. 1- Speed processor is 3.3 GHz. 2- Ram memory can be increased up to 32 Gb. This one came with 4 Gb, and works very good. Never got slow. 3- USB port has 3.0 and 2.0 this is a plus for fast file transfer. Using Windows 10 Pro. I works quiet, nice and fast. I will recommend this unit if you are really looking a cheap and excellent computer. I don't do gaming so I can judge how this will work but for office use at home is excellent. Never is slow. My old HP got broken, and replacing motherboard would cost me almost buying a refurbished one. Being honest I never before trust refurbish item, however this HP 6300 is excellent. I got this one to use one time to recover old files and pictures. After that I put in the closet until we got Covid-19. I had a Laptop also, but if you planing to spend long hours working from home, a Desktop is the choice.

I wanted a fast, inexpensive desktop for a scanning project. This machine is that. What it isn't, and I didn't think to discover: It has old-style pin ports for the monitor. Had to buy an HDMI converter. Only takes ethernet. Had to buy a wifi receiver. Those added nearly 100 to the price. It did come with a keyboard & mouse. But it also has no MS features, I cannot open a spreadsheet or document on it. I switch between it for scanning and my laptop for the other. It is faster than my laptop for archiving the scans, so it does what I bought it for - and nicely, too.

I purchased this computer to replace my old Vista which would not allow me to do anything. I am glad I did purchase this computer and it's an HP which happens to be favorite brand of computers. Setup was easy and I didn't realize that it came with a key board and mouse. I believe I made a great purchase and I am very pleased.

Hi. I needed to get a new desktop for my parents. They didn't need much in terms of power, speed, storage, etc. so I decided to get a refurbished unit. It was the right decision. This unit is excellent and delivers much more than they need. They really love the speed of the new computer. Great purchase.

This is a great replacement for my hard drive that dies. It's fast and the graphics are great.

I know there's an addiction to getting the newest, shiniest toys, but why spend more when refurbished does everything you need? Give it a try.

This is very good desktop for the money. I wasn't looking for an expensive super computer but just something that could run basic office programs. I was skeptical but the price and specs seemed like to good of a deal and I don't regret it at all. Computer runs and does great! If you're looking for a cheap XP replacement or just a cheap basic computer to get the job done then look no further.

bought this computer to use it as a back up and I'm really liking it - it's fast, quiet and I'm liking windows 10, I also like the number of USB ports, the only problem is that it doesn't have a disc burner but I use my other computer to burn discs so it's no big deal.

I am very happy with my purchased. Computer is running great! The best replacement for my old Windows XP and for the very low price.

Needed to replace an older desktop and this fits the bill nicely. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't arrive at the store for pickup when it was supposed to and I had to wait a couple of extra days. Other than that I'm pretty happy with it since it will do all I need it to do. I'm not a gamer and mainly use it for word processing and surfing the web and it seems more than capable. Good quality and even better value.

Never trusted refurbished products in the past. This is so great. Not only do I get a good price, but the quality is really impressive and the ease of setup was very surprising.

This was the only computer I could find that was "new" and in stock at a local store that was capable of running Windows 7. Was cheap too.
