    The computer is terrible and seems to have faulty

    It took 10 days for it to be delivered. It was dropped on the lawn OVER the gate. When I took it out of the box, there was something rattling inside. I opened the case and found a small metal washer rolling around. I closed the case. I set the computer up. It ran horribly slow. It does not stay connected to the internet, and freezes constantly. I contacted Reimage as I have friends there. They did multiple remotes, (10), and feel that the memory is fautly AND that the CPU may have been replaced with an older less powerful one during the rebuild. I have been in and out of the hospital getting radiation treatments for cancer all month, & I took the system and monitor with so I could work. I called customer service 3 times yesterday and was hung up on each time. I called 3 times today and was hung up on 3 times. I finally got thru to a Hernalyn, who had me d/l the Logmein (I know it all to well). I then downloaded a remote access program. She said,"They be right with you" and hung up without even saying good bye. That was an hour ago. No has taken control of my computer. It just keeps says, "Try again.' I call again. 2 more hangups. Got thru to a Jesse ID A1467633, who said the backlog is a 3 hour wait for the techs to take over. I was not told that. This has been a bad enough month for me. I do not need this added stress. If we do not get this fixed soon, I will be very verbal about the support.

    Bought this computer for my 11 yo to do school work and to have internet access. Works great for what she needs, most of her homework is web based and she needed a PC of her own. I haven’t loaded any extras on it so it runs perfectly out of the box. If I had to load a bunch of software it might be a different story. If you need a computer for a middle schooler you really can’t go wrong with this one for under $175.

    We would definitely buy a refurbished computer from Best Buy again we are very pleased with the warranty that came with it and also the free security software. Like new

    I'm very happy with my purchase. This one I purchased for work because I had purchased a refurbished HP for me 6 years ago and it is still running great.

    I purchased this computer and when I fired it up initially it would not get past the start up procedures, kept making a crunching sound, like a never ending processing sound. It was too late to return to Best Buy by the time I fired it up, so I had to use the warranty via the actual vendor it came from (planitROI) and had to pay $30 to ship it there. It came back and seems to be working fine now, but I'm still fuming I had to pay a good chunk of the purchase price to ship it to the vendor, when it should have worked the first time. It was a hard drive issue I was told.

    Warning! Cannot activate manufacturer warranty

    This is probably a great computer when it works. However, my hard drive is dead. I waited too long to return to Best Buy and now HP will not activate my warranty. When I give them the serial number, they say the warranty expired in 2014 since it is an older computer. I have explained to HP that it is refurbished but now they have rejected my warranty case because I have no proof that it was refurbished and purchased in the last couple of months. (All the invoice and paperwork from Best Buy only contains a model number. Best Buy cannot find a record with the serial number.) So currently I am stuck with a unless computer!
