Bought this small form factor desktop when it was on sale for $490. For that price, this desktop was quite a steal. Before booting the desktop up, i upgraded it with a 500gb SSD for better performance (applications load faster), another 8gb ram stick, and a low profile GTX 1030 GPU for seamless 4K playback @ 60hz (the motherboard HDMI port is only HDMI 1.4 so it can only support 4K up to 30hz). The i7 in here performs very well and with a bit of undervolting, the CPU temps do not go over 64 °C (without undervolt, the max temps top out at 75 °C). Fan noise before the undervolt is bearable, but after a modest -160mV undervolt to the CPU, fan noise is nearly silent! Overall, this desktop with its small footprint is definitely worth the $490 price tag. Would strongly suggest that if anyone buys this desktop, at least buy an SSD to upgrade it to make use of its full potential (just noticed that there is also an M.2 slot but i am not sure if it is PCI-E or SATA, but at least if you buy an M.2 SSD, you can still utilize your SATA port bigger mechanical drives, ie HDDs).

The product does not take up much space on my desk. Some have noted its fan does make a little noise; but, I don't find that to be a problem. Probably one of the best ways to get Intel Core I-7 at a reasonable price. You can see the increased speed over an older processor.

Pros - Great value. Cons - loud fan, CPU runs hot, no case fans nor can they be added. Added M.2 SSD and partitioned the original internal HDD, configured to minimize SSD use, maxed out the memory. Great gig for light use. Thought I could handle occasional fan noise after reading several complaints, but it got to me especially when BOINC revving up CPU. Replaced CPU fan with a high output 3-setting but silent fan. Running at highest setting of 43 CFM, noise is much better with the new fan, but lower settings though quieter settings just can't keep the CPU cool enough. Still CPU temperature spikes up to 75 to 85 degrees Celsius frequently. Seems it is common complaint for this i7-7700 class to run hot. Manufacturers like HP should put better CPU Cooler on this chip; the stock CPU fan is too loud and too under-powered to keep it cool. Intel should be ashamed for releasing this Kaby Lake chip. I would upgrade to best low-profile CPU Cooler if the CPU temperature remains too high. My first slim desktop but will likely be my last.

This desktop was easy to assemble, small size fits great on desk, and meets all my expectations. Price was fantastic as well.

We had been putting off buying a new computer and saw this HP Computer on sale. This is fast enough for our purposes and much faster than our old HP computer. We were able to transfer all our files in a few hours. It comes with Windows 10. It's slim and lightweight. There are adequate USB ports, and a secure digital port for the camera cards. Overall we are pleased with the purchase.

I purchased this product because I seemed like it had decent specifications to edit pictures in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and had ample storage space. So far it has done a good job. However, I had to give it a 3 because of the noise. Before I purchased it, I read a few reviews that said it was noisy. Yet I thought....it's a computer, not a lawn mower, how noisy can it be? OMG!!! I have never seen anything like this. It's loud enough as to where I can hear it running from the next room, even with the television on. It sounds like it is struggling! Even worse it will randomly rev up during the middle of the night startling everyone because I thought it was off. Not sure who thought this was normal. Aside from the loudness, I think the performance is fine.

This computer replaced an older HP slimline. The computer is fast enough for normal tasks and streaming. There is room to upgrade Ram. Comes with good features for the cost. Only negative is inability to have separate video card, not a gaming computer. Overall a Reliable computer with very good features for the price.

The unit was very easy to set up. I can't believe the powerful performance.

AFTER HAVING A HP DESKTOP WITH WINDOWS XP FOR 17 YEARS, I THOUGHT ABOUT UPGRADING WINDOWS 10, THE PRICE OF THE WINDOW 10 PROGRAM COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS A NEW DESKTOP. DECIDE TO BUY A NEW DESKTOP, WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS WAS IT HAD THE I7 PROCESSOR, IT HAD GREAT SPEED, THE 8G MEMORY WAS ENOUGH FOR MY USE,AND THE PRICE WAS IN THE RANGE OF WHAT I WANTED TO PAY.

This is by far the fastest Windows computer I have ever owned. I am very pleased with my purchase. It is a slimline design which means that it will not take up much desk space.

I really am enjoying this computer. It was easy to set up and its so slimline that it fits right on my desk.love it. was also on sale, so right in my budget.

I WAS FORTUNATE TO GET THIS SYSTEM ON SALE WITH I7 CORE WHICH IS SUPER FAST. IT PERFORMS WONDERFULLY OTHER THAN I AM NOT USED TO THE WINDOWS 10.

It provided fast processing , easy to use , It's exact what I wanted. I couldn't be happier . Definitely will recommend it to all my friends.
