Customers are impressed with the Spectre x2's keyboard, which is a notable advantage over the Surface Pro. The price is also seen as reasonable. Customers appreciate the long battery life and sleek design. The inclusion of LTE connectivity is also seen as a bonus. There are some concerns about the bezels being larger compared to the Surface Pro 4, but overall, customers are positive about the Spectre x2.

I like the size, the weight, the quality, and especially the front and rear facing cameras. Just what I was looking for.

What is there not to like about this HP. It is thin, light, and has a great keyboard. It is built of metal and is very solid. The battery life is decent at around 5 hours. All in all, you can't get a better device for the money... certainly not a surface pro 4 for this much.

the spectre has met my expectations in every way so far. i have had teh product since christmas and i haven't had one hiccup so far. i love the flexibility of the screen, the ease in switching from laptop to tablet and back is great. the functionality is great and the speed is perfect for my needs.

I wasn't sure about this after reading some of the reviews but I went for it, and I am glad I did. First let it charge up completely and then it needs to update the software and drivers. After that I have had no problems, works great and is a nice machine. Haven't tried to play any games with it but it runs all the other software quite well. It does everything I need and is a lot cheaper than a Surface Pro 4.Wish the battery lasted longer and they had more apps for it. But it runs all windows programs no problem.

I got this tablet for my wife. She loves it and use it for taking notes and writing with its stylus. It is portable, light, and has high built quality. The only problem is that the stylus is not included, which I wish it would. You have to extra $60 to get one, which is a must.

    Great tablet and Surface Competitor-Almost

    Posted .

Overall it's very serviceable and a strong competitor to the surface pro 4, but at a lower price. It has a premium feel and HP has done a very good job with just a few exceptions. Visually, this looks like a high end unit and overall it meets that expectation. It looks good, keyboard is not just better, but also included, making this a good value. It's bright, beautiful, great functionality and overall a solid tablet Conceptually I was ecstatic to find a tablet at this price with a wwan 4g lte modem. Unfortunately it only works with Verizon, so unless your interested in paying $30/mo for 2gb of data and $10 for each gb over the 2gb base, it's useless. Tried working with HP support to determine if Spectre x2 modem would work with TMobile and nobody could give me a definitive answer. It appears that the LTE modem only works with Verizon, a huge faux pas on HP's part. Having instant on data when you don't have wifi is a huge benefit. I'll keep this unit because of it's pricepoint, but I'm still looking for a 12"+ tablet that will support all major carriers. The volume is a little weaker than you would expect, especially with the Bang & Olufsen label on the keyboard. In a perfectly quiet room it's mediocre, however introduce any background noise and this unit is woefully under equipped. If loud is important, simply buy an external speaker. I've uninstalled the graphics drivers several times and still the video freezes, crashes and restarts. I'm told by friends this is an intel on board issue and known. Hopefully they are writing a fix for this that will update and address this issue. Chrome crashes frequently. I've read a few places that changing Chromes compatibility back to win8 helps....having just discovered this, I've made the adjustment, time will tell. Aside from these minor irritations, I think this unit is a great solution for budget oriented buyers. I'm very happy with the performance of the m3 chip and only 4gb of ram, not what expected but far better. Battery life is very good, averaging between 6 to 7+ hours depending on what I'm running and how hard I'm pushing the tablet. I've installed the full version of acrobat, office and several proprietary programs I use and aside from a very rare stutter, the x2 handles them all well. Pro's: Bright easy to see, high resolution screen Functional keyboard included for the price Intel mobile processor much faster and robust then I had imagined 4gb of ram adequate for average tasks Price - $599 is an amazing value 4g LTE wwan modem (if you can tolerate Verizon and willing to pay their $$$ high prices) Overall value, materials, integration & functionality Form factor USB C Battery life Cons: Verizon locked 4g LTE modem (Very expensive service) Buggy graphics driver (should resolve over time with updates) Sound is weaker then comparable products Chrome compatibility issues (crashes frequently) I'm sure as time goes on Intel/HP will resolve the graphics issue as will Google with the Chrome issue. Still peeved about the 4g LTE modem issue, but like this unit just the same, it's a competent little workhorse for daily tasks and the best value in the entry level market.

One down fall is that seems the battery runs hot all the time ... And runs down even when the laptop is shut off...it is very easy to use but would like to have battery last more than an hour or two...was advise it is because of the LTE function that cause quick drainage of battery.

I am a surface device lover...I have had EVERY surface that has come out, literally. I was getting a little tired of the same old thing and also my new surface pro 4 battery life was atrocious so I returned it. I tried a Dell Inspiron 11 inch- too cheap feeling and returned it. Then I ran across HP's Spectre 2 and it was on sale for $599 and that included the keyboard! It works absolutely as well as the surface, and after purchasing the surface +keyboard costs $1000 compared to $599 for the HP Spectre 2. The best feature is definitely the keyboard, love it. The screen resolution on the spectre 2 isn't quite as top notch as the surface, but it is good, really good. I just think this is the best deal around!

I bought this as a device to replace my aging iPad and an Android device, I have found i use it more than my work laptop for remote access for work and it does function completely as a fully functioning laptop.

I read many reviews for this product. I purchased it because it was on sale, has a detachable touchscreen with Windows 10 and has a back lit keyboard. I wish it had more memory and a larger SSD, but, my budget was strapped. It will probably serve me well because the laptop it replaces has less memory and a slightly smaller hard drive and it was adequate except for CPU speed. The 2-in-1 I bought is way faster than the previous laptop.

this is a good 2-in-1. There are some pros and cons to it. pro: comes with a keyboard, unlike the surface pro, but I find that I don't use the hardware keyboard that much. Con: The graphics driver keeps crashing. Pro: It always recovers. After owning this a while, I think the flip over design would be more practical. But all in all, its good- just not great.

This is fast becoming my favorite electronic device. It's a large tablet, it's a laptop, it's the best of both. I have been using it more than either that I own separately. And it's connected to my Verizon data plan so even if there's no internet connection, or wifi...I'm still connected. Best purchase I've made in a long time!!

I compared this computer to the more expensive Surface Pro 4. The surface was only slightly better in a couple aspects. Not enough to shell out over $600 more. Don't pay for a name pay for a quality product and the Spectre is definitely quality!!
