Here to talk about more than the laptop. I am using this product for more than 2 months now. Laptop is beautiful. I am much of a careless user but i am using this one very carefully cause it looks good, feels good. Performance so far is great. I reviewed this product before as i had flickering screen issues, returned the product and the new one works awesome. But, i would suggest if you're buying it, wait if you can, as sometimes they have this on $699 and i was fortunate enough to get it. although, i had to go through price match and best buy had to return me money in my account, that has been a horrible experience. I had to call 5-6 times in a month everytime with a new guy and because of previous guy did it wrong , new guy had to do it again, it took me more then a month t settle for price match. so make sure if you some thing like that with best buy, get the confirmation number and name of the associate for your safety. Enjoy!

Great computer for those who are looking for a computer to truly compete with a macbook. The ssd, sixth gen i5, and 8 gb of ram provide a truly fast and smooth computing experience for both simple and strenuous work loads. New Bang and Olufsen audio provides both richness and loudness that truly makes a difference in media. Battery life ranges from 8.5 to 12 hours depending on use. Hp really hit a home run with this computer.

I'm very pleased with the Spectre x360 6th gen. Start up is blazing fast, it's light to travel with and battery life is phenomenal!!! I use the Dell Active Stylus (750-AAGN) for note taking and it works well with this unit. Out of the box I didn't like that the back lit keyboard light stayed on all the time but that was easily turned off by going into the BIOS. HP did well on this one. I recommend.

Great product, fast laptop, very portable

Last summer I bought this laptop to replace my older hp model. I needed something fast and portable that could keep up with my busy college schedule. In looking for this laptop, there were certain features I wanted. I wanted something that would boot up fast and not take forever to do simple operations, and I wanted something that wouldn’t be too heavy in my backpack. After a lot of comparing with other laptops and reading many reviews, I settled on this one (13 in. screen, 256 GB hard drive, i5 processor). I was a little worried the hard drive would be too small but the ssd was a plus. That was one thing I had been looking for. After one school year of using it, here’s what I noticed. The size and weight were perfect for what I need. I was able to take it to class every day and it kept up with all the work I needed to do on it. Mostly I used it to do homework online and edit word documents. The processor was plenty fast and since much of my homework was kept on a flash drive, the hard drive size was plenty big. It would have been nice if it had a dvd drive but the size and weight trade-off was worth it. I may still get an external drive for it in the future. When Windows 10 came out, I upgraded to that and had no problems with it. That’s what I have been using most of the year. I don’t use the touchscreen feature that much but it does come in handy once in a while such as the picture password login and scrolling on webpages. One thing I found useful with the 2 in 1 design was using it in tablet mode to read pdf documents. Doing this in portrait orientation made it easy to read an entire page at a time. For watching movies the tent mode is good because it can support itself and the airflow doesn’t disrupt cooling so the laptop doesn’t overheat. Another plus is that it is very quiet and it runs very cool. The charger does heat up quite a bit when it’s charging but the laptop doesn’t get too hot most of the time. The batter life is another huge plus. I don’t use it heavily during the day (maybe 4-5 hours per day) but the battery seems to last forever. I often go 3 days without having to charge it. Unless you plan to do a lot of high usage stuff, it should last through the day easily. After watching a movie it usually still has enough battery left to watch a second movie (provided we aren’t talking a 3 hour film). Overall this is a great laptop and it looks cool too - very sleek. If you want a fast portable laptop and don’t mind paying the price for such a sleek package, this device is well worth it.

    flickering screen

I bought this last week, at my very first day, i started seeing flickering screen, it is the replica of your current screen which pops up at the bottom of the laptop and flickers constantly.Annoying..!! it generally happens while browsing not if you're working on word/excel document.Sound quality is also not up to the mark, and sometimes noisy Other then that, i love this product the design, quality, it is a total beauty and worth the amount. love the tablet mode, touchpad is big but i think i ll get used to it. i have returned the old one and waiting for a same new one.

Excellent upgrade to old HP Envy

I am so impressed with this laptop. I bought it as an upgrade to an HP Envy with AMD A10 processor that I purchased from BB in 2013. My impression of this laptop may be colored by the horrific experience I had with the old HP but compared to my old machine this laptop is perfection. I really wanted the i7 QHD model but the flash sale @ 699 made this one irresistible. 1. The build quality is exceptional it feels as good as it looks. The hinges are strong but I am a bit concerned that over time they will weaken so I try to be careful flipping and folding. It's a dirt magnet and the raised letters on the back before I owned the laptop I thought was a stylish touch but now all I can think of is the dirt they will trap between. 2. Incredibly fast. Lightning fast boots in seconds does everything in seconds. Mind = Blown @ speed. Again this is probably bcz I'm comparing to my lemon Envy that never did a thing right from day 1. 3. Bought the dell pen and it works as reviews said it would. I find it quite difficult to write properly on the computer it was a good idea but a bulky piece of metal no matter how sleek does not a good writing apparatus make. Still cool that it can do this though. WHAT DON'T I LIKE ABOUT IT? Nothing. It gives me joy to type on even with the silver low contrast keys and backlighting. I love it. It gives me joy to look at because the screen is super bright and colours look beautiful. In my heart of hearts I yearn for the QHD and the 4KUHD resolutions but I'm happy with the 1080p...for now. BOTTOM LINE: As close to perfection as I've seen so far. There are laptops with better specs but not this particular combination of specs. Lenovo packs a performance punch but no pen on the Yoga 900. Dell XPS...doesn't yoga. I recommend this product...TO EVERYONE...EVERYWHERE!

    Exceptional value for money

I did my research before I bought this one. I did not want to buy a Windows laptop and waited for a Skylake MacBook Pro for months while considering Windows notebooks as a backup if MacBooks don't get updated in March. I read reviews for many ultrabooks at several places. Bought the HP Envy from the MS store and returned it. Tried hands on, many of the other laptops including the Dell XPS 13. Nothing beats this Spectre x360 overall. Bought it for a steal at BestBuy. It looks fantastic. Quite light and thin. The touch screen works great and looks sharp (normal HD edition). Runs cool even under heavy usage. Never exhausted the battery life completely, but it definitely lasts for several hours (I can believe the 10+ hours claim). The screen is glossy and appears to have no oleophobic coating (fingerprint magnet). But took care of that with a nice anti-glare matte screen protector, and now it is soft to look at. My only serious complaint is that the ability to write on this (with a stylus) for taking notes, is just terrible. The HP Active Stylus simply sucks, I don't know why they even bothered to release such garbage. The Dell stylus works better, i.e. more accurate. The palm rejection works reasonably well. But even that skips a lot, the end result is I ended up returning both the styluses, they are just unusable. The best feature of this laptop for me, is that Linux Mint 17.3 runs flawlessly, and out of the box. All hardware just works the very first time on install! I am able to run this from a low-profile Samsung 128 GB USB 3 drive, without touching the Windows 10 installation on the notebook's internal SSD. HP should advertise this aspect as a feature, it's that cool.

This is the second HP spectre that I have purchased and returned. The screen quality is amazing and that's where it stops to amaze. The speakers are a big problem. Not even 24 hours and they stop working properly. Every time I click on anything they have a loud humming noise. Again this is not the first HP that has had this problem. I would not recommend purchasing this Laptop. You can ask the customer service reps in store and they will also tell you this is the number one reason for the returns on the HP laptop.

HP Spectre has met all of my expectations so far.. At first the battery life was disappointing @ appx. 5 hrs. Going to: all settings /system /battery saver /batty use- showed me where the power was going. I uninstalled a power hungry game (unblock) and also uninstalled FOX news for the same reason-then reinstalled it -which was then less power consuming for some reason . F5 also shuts off the keyboard lights and now I project 6-8 Hrs Batt use !! I also ordered a Keyboard cover from Case Logic to protect it from accidental spills. Hope it continues to perform well. Time will tell.

Speed and performance is good. No different than other computer with these parameters. But itis so good piece of equipment. Not only because it looks outstanding but the quality of this product is really high. The only problem are speakers - sound is a good quality but it is just too quiet.
