This was my second purchase of a Spectre, this one has twice the power and memory of the first.
Works super well and is super confortable. It has a minor software glitch that ocassionally makes the cursor press by itself continuosly, but by closing the Nb and opening it goes away.

I bought this to replace my Microsoft Surface. I tried a Samsung Note 9 but the fan was too loud; a Yoga tablet gave intermittent problems; I've had this Spectre for about six weeks and have had no problem with it thus far. Keys are responsive; key lights are uniform; screen is bright. Works equally well in laptop and tablet modes.

I always felt like I needed the biggest laptop screen for viewing files and drawings for our projects.
Given the ease of use of the touch screen, the 13" screen is more efficient and user friendly than my previous 17".
Fast Processor and great storage.
Still getting used to Windows 10 as previously I had been using Windows 7

This is a good all-purpose 2 in 1 laptop but too heavy for my purposes.
I like one that is light that can be easily carried as I walk between appointments.

I have had a HP Envy before and was very happy with it. I ordered this in and went for the quickest laptop / notebook I could find. I am very happy with it at this point.

Disappointing Laptop

Needed a powerful laptop and this one was highly rated at a great price. However upon turning the laptop on the first time it was already plagued with driver issues that caused audio and video problems, right out of the box. Even with the latest updates and Geek Squad support, they recommended that I just return it and get a refund.

So far, so good!

I purchased this laptop over a month ago. I needed a portable, yet higher powered laptop to run animations and process data. So far, I have found the laptop to perform quite well. Only issue has been in transferring data to a Windows 7 machine via external hard drive - the external hard disk failed (-- which may have been related to Windows 10 to Windows 7 transferring?(. The internal drive on the laptop has performed well. I have found the data processing and updating speeds on this computer to be quite good, compared to a similar spec'd older laptop.

Good Development Machine

I am a programmer who have been running Mac and Linux for several years, but curious about what is going on in the Windows world now.
The Spectre with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD had the minimum specs for a development machine.
Programming tools: Eclipse, Java, Scala, Git, SourceTree, Atom, Python and Visual Studio all installed fine and works well.
The Spectre is a portable and pretty computer with enough power to run resource demanding programming tools.
I have had it for 2.5 weeks and it has been running fine for me. I have not had heat problem.
I had to uninstall the virus checker to get Chrome to work.
Good to see that Microsoft is listening to developers and releasing quality open source software now.
I am as happy working on Windows as on OS X and Linux.

Serious defect that HP is ignoring

Warning! These units are plagued with the ghost touch issue (ironic since they are named Spectre). HP is no help and refuses to acknowledge the issue. This is my second one, both have suffered from the ghost touch issue where it is like an invisible person is constantly tapping the screen. It makes the computer unusable when it happens and can trash whatever you happen to be working on. It is an intermittent issue. I have the more expensive $1700 version with higher specs too.
Google it if you want to know more.

Terrible Purchase

When I purchased this laptop, there were no reviews yet, so I relied on the good reviews of the 15" spectre x360. I wanted a smaller machine and was excited about the amount of RAM and the size of the SSD. Unfortunately, this machine did not live up to my expectations. Within 24 hours of my purchase, I began experiencing "ghost touches". This is when it appears as though an invisible person is repeatedly tapping the screen. The computer is completely unusable, so it must be restarted.
I exchanged that machine for the same model and it was 2 days before the ghost reappeared. At that point, I decided that it might just need driver update, so I updated the Bios to no effect. I contacted HP and the rep uninstalled and reinstalled the touchscreen drivers, but the issue was back the next day.
It was when I was trying to decide if the third time would be the charm that I saw HP had already replied to another unhappy reviewer, so I contacted Patricia to see what she had to say. The solution provided was to return the computer to HP and they would replace it.
In addition to the touchscreen problems, I found that the trackpads were not very responsive, so ultimately I returned the spectre x360 for the Yoga 900 with a smaller SSD, but a much better trackpad and no ghost.
