Main reason i purchased this laptop is the tablet mode... touch screen and the display are the key features for this model. after using it almost a year, still i feel it works great..
The touchpad has two-finger scrolling which was great when i brought it and my old laptop didn't have this feature and the touchpad settings are also very customizable.
I was unsure whether I'd like or use the fingerprint reader but I have it enabled and it recognizes me maybe 80% of the time, it has definitely seemed to improve since I first turned on the feature.
The keys glide smoothly and are very ergonomic in their placement. Good thing is the built-in num pad as most of the laptops won't have those, it is very helpful while am working with numbers. Layout is really good.
It does come with a stylus. Used it couple of times only when I set up the laptop just to play with it. Seems pretty cool, I can see how some people might like it for taking notes or drawing. The pen itself is weighty like a fountain pen and seems very responsive.
Come back to the cons, i felt the processor speed is not advertised correctly. When I open up my specs it reads 1.8GHz not 4.9GHz or whatever it claims to be.
It hasn't really become an issue yet though for me. For running Matlab, Excel, Chrome, and Solidworks simultaneously it does not seem to slow the system down to an annoying point.
Additionally, there is only one USB and one USB-c port. I usually have my wired mouse and printer plugged in which both use USB. I bought a multiport adapter that plugs into the USB-c port for my printer which is a bit more unwieldy but it's manageable since I usually use my laptop at a desk.
Startup speed alongside the read/write to the disk are very solid.
All in all, a great laptop so far.

This computer so far has been awesome. I use this as a replacement for my travel mac laptop. The design is great, the 4k is amazing, touch screen is fabulous, user-friendly, able to edit my photography and videos. It does have a slower speed than my mac when different programs are running, and it is a little slower during operation than my mac. Other than slow operational software (Adobe Products) I love this computer for travel, photography events and on the go.

Excellent purchase..very satisfied with quality. This is the top HP quality...design is next level and gorgeous 4K display.best buy offered very competitive price compared to what HP has on their website. This laptop tech should be good for at least next 5 years. Best buy delivered at my home and I have never seen HP packaging like this from..so premium. Performance is excellent...very fast and wifi 6 support.

Really great laptop. Does gaming and photoshop which was what I wanted. It is not a good size for travel because it's rather heavy.

I love the feel of the keyboard and the touchscreen.
I wish there was a pen dock because I already lost my pen...
Fast and reliable. Beautiful design.
A little heavy for a portable, but the full keyboard is a definite plus.

I will say that I have had Apple computers in the past and I really wanted to get another one but I decided not to do so due to the cost. This computer has given me 1 issue in the fact that it will not Bluetooth to my new TV. I called both Samsung and HP and they both point their fingers at the other. It will work if I use an HDMI so I did not take the computer back just due to this 1 issue. It is very fast and is able to handle all that I toss at it. I am not that big of a fan of the use of it as a tablet. I stick with the computer side all the time. I do love the picture quality as well as the touch screen. I will say that the touch screen is not quite as accurate as a phone is so keep in mind that the touch portion of this computer I would give it a 4 out of 5. Also, I got this computer when it was on sale for Black Friday for 500 off so that helps. I would buy this again and have been overall happy. I would not have gotten this if I did not get it for the 500 off.

i bought this a month ago & i'm still finding new things! while windows 10 is tough to get used to (from windows 7), this a beautiful machine! it was time & now i see i'd been living in the 'dark ages'! so many killer adjustable options like:
the backlit keyboard, mouse (cursor) size, gorgeous picture, awesome sound card (& we are picky eared musicians & artists), love the touch screen, can switch to a tablet which is way too cool, it comes with pen that i've yet to use, it's lightweight, & just plain beautiful to look at.
i can't wait to find out all the creative/artistic things i can do with this thing. hubby is jealous & wanting one now! He's always been a desktop dude. just do it!

An amazing laptop having all the specs I wanted. 16gb RAM is just marvelous and MX250 graphics though not the best but plays demanding games like FIFA 20 smoothly and without any significant lags. Fingerprint reader is not so effective though, it works only occasionally and most of the times I have to manually type my code to unlock the screen. The HP pen works but not so smooth (or I just need to get used to it). Also, it could have had one more USB port, having only one USB port makes it difficult sometimes. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and it's a significant upgrade from my previous HP laptop.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago on sale for $ 1,099.00 so I could not pass it up! I tried the 13 inch version it was to small for me so I just happen to catch the 15 inch going on sale . The 1st 15 inch I had to bring back it was making a sound like the right fan was touching something. Like everything I buy from Best Buy there were no problems at all! I was in and out of the store with my new one in 10 minutes! I love the size of the 15 inch how responsive everything is and the beautiful new look that HP made on this laptop! I will recommend this to anyone! Excellent computer!

I like all in this Spectre, monitor, size, mouse pad, color, touch screen. Keyboard, performance, it doesn’t come loaded of useless software,
I’m giving 4 starts instead of 5 For 2 issues
1. the stylus doesn’t have a place to attach or “club” with the computer, I put it next to my pencils in my desk and it doesn’t come with a decent pouch to carry.
2. the power button & power up cycle. The button is not in a good position and you can hardly tell if it is booting or not For the first 5 seconds, and if you are not little patient, since you can’t see the button, you may press it again thinking you didn’t press it long enough and you end up powering off.

I bought this laptop after returning a dell inspirion 7000 4k laptop having a fan issue that botherd me. I realized there quite differences, hp has an amazing design, the gem cut is one feature that can me you change your mind. But about the graphics performace is not what i expected. And I'm not using for gaming or redering videos, for instance, i needed to change the graphics usage of my office 365 word because before changing it I could see some screen delay scrolling down my word sheets, And that kinda dissapoint me. I wish it had a better graphic card for that 4k format. And the rest of features are awsome.

An amazing and awesome laptop. Has lots of power for doin anything and everything you need. Multi-tasking with multiple web sites are a breeze, fast and flawless. Graphics are amazing and crystal clear for regular viewing or binge watching. You can do so many things with this laptop you can't list them all. Best 2 & 1 laptop on the market for all around use. Office use, gaming, drawing as a tablet, fast web browsing. Yes price is up there but you won't be disappointed with all the specs this has to offer.

I bought this laptop for its processing speed for editing photos and did not disappoint me in that aspect. I really enjoy the output display and have played movies from my external dvd player. Read the specs before buying the laptop. I added an external USB hub for more USB ports, photo card reader and a external storage drive for my photos. I haven't edited any videos to give my opinion on that area. Excellent battery life. I give it a 5 star rating for what I wanted to use it for.

The best Laptop I have ever owned. It's true when they say you get what you pay for. Even the packaging it came in was top of its class. It's a great laptop, fast, no lag when multitasking, and the power button on the back corner is a perfect spot. The cooling fan even has different cooling speeds. The laptop has more pros than cons. It needs to have more than one USB port.

A higher end laptop but worth the price if you need to work from home and anticipate substantial usage of a laptop for several years. It's fast, easy to use with good battery life. It has a lot of power and capacity so it should be able to handle any growing future needs or requirements for at least a few years or more. It's still only a recent purchase for me so i can't comment yet on durability and longevity but no issues so fast (knock on wood).

I recently purchased this computer and it’s so much better than what I was expecting. The screen quality is really nice as well as the sound. It has a nice design overall and isn’t too heavy. The only thing I would say is if it’s not on a flat surface it tends to overheat because the fans are near the bottom. Highlighting things takes a little bit of patience when getting used to it but is very manageable after a couple days.

I purchased this during the black Friday sales and saved a few hundred dollars. So far everything is fine. I would make note of the following. There are two USB-C, one USB 3.0/2.0 ports. There is no ethernet port, and one HDMI port. Depending on how/where you plan on using this laptop, you will likely need to add some sort of additional network ports, or hub. Otherwise after a month of normal use, all is well. I'd recommend this laptop but check prices, since its sure to come down.
