Great computer still using it and it’s very easy to use for school work and personal use. Very good size fits in my hand bags and I travel with it all the time. I recommend it.

I bought this because I wanted a small, inexpensive, and light laptop. This certainly fits the bill, and I am usually happy with it. Usually, consumer guides says that it is not worthwhile to get an extended warranty, or an extra warranty, but in this case I STRONGLY advise getting one. This is the first time that I have had a Windows product at home, and getting assistance from either HP or Microsoft wasn't easy, perhaps because of the Covid pandemic. If you run down the battery, it isn't easy to restart this laptop. If you just hold down the power button, it will come on and then go off. You have to hold the power button down until the screen just begins to glow and then remove your finger. This can fail to work several times, but it's best if the computer is restarted before taking it off the charger. After three months, I had serious trouble with the software, which I was able to fix myself, then at five months, the laptop stopped working, either after charging or with an electrical cord. I was finally able to get in touch with HP by calling the order number and asking to be switched to technical service. The web site was no help. I have to say that once contacted, they were good and speedy. They sent a box to send the computer in immediately, they stayed in touch, and it came back quickly. Microsoft, one the other hand, has no concern for its customers that I can detect. It appears that you can't phone or chat with a live person. I tried the community, only to find that a number of people were having the same problem, i.e., that items were not downloading from the store. Microsoft made no response to these complaints, so I can't buy games, download apps, or even update the email client on the computer. I've had a little trouble adjusting the images for size when I have a screen within a screen, as with my email. Whether this is due to HP or Microsoft, I don't know, but I suspect the latter, especially since it's Outlook email. So, generally satisfactory, but help can be very difficult to get, so I'd get the Best Buy warranty if I had it to do over.

This little 11" laptop with just the basics - no backlit keyboard, no touch screen, limited storage, etc. turns out to be a great little device. I love it. I already have a 16" HP with all the bells and whistles. That one is for my home office. I needed a small one for travel and away from home meetings. This really fits the bill. I'm also using it on my lap to take craft classes while I can work on the craft at the same time. Can't do that with my big HP. The biggest surprise was the large keys keyboard which makes it very easy to type. I have it set up with all the same start menu items, personalization, and I'm still playing with the fonts to get them to be big enough and easy to read. I am cumputer savvy - I was an i IT professional for 40 years before I retired in October last year. I'm 80 years old, If you want an inexpensive computer that will get you around the internet and Facebook, and give you a place to use office software, this is it. If you don't feel comfortable setting up a computer, you can get help from Geek Squad. I'm also using Microsoft 360 with it. Boy was I stupid to not use it before. I can enter my budget on my office computer and have access to it wherever my little HP goes with me. I have had none of the issues that some other reviewers have claimed to have.

Hands down the best work laptop I have had. I purchased this laptop when I began working from home. It is so compact and takes up so little space I could bring it all around the house when needed. I would definitely recommend this purchase!

it is perfect laptop for a college student. I love that how easy it was to setup and download much needed applications such as Microsoft Office and Zoom (for those creepy people who love staring at my funky bedroom decor and my collection of hot sauce--don't ask), and also if I need other software it is all available at the Microsoft store. However, I do not enjoy bloatware. Initially, McAfee Anti-Virus kept spawning at startup. Not cool my friend, I had to delete that sucker. It kept interfering with my anti-virus software that performs better (sorry dude). Other than that, everything was fairly simple. Even troubleshooting is a breeze. I had to install a printer and it helped me through the search button and pulled up some sites on how to fix HP issues-- and believe me, they have "issues". The GUI is a little clunky, and not very intuitive. I wish new machines would come with a manual. I had to research some shortcut keys again, as I am someone whose fingers rarely lift away from the keys. I don't like saving things on clouds and servers from the ethers... man. Stop defaulting that, I like my thumb drives just fine. Microsoft, there is absolutely nothing interesting about me Googling bowling shirts and platform shoes. You don't need to know about that.

I purchased this for home use for email and web browsing. I've used Excel and Word for job hunting as well. I wanted an inexpensive laptop and got more than expected with this one. For $200 it does everything I need with no issues. It's lightweight and the keyboard is comfortable. Setup was quick and easy. The only con is that it's a little slow at times but nothing I can't live with.

Seems just fine for light duty work such as internet browsing, and basic office tool work. There isn't a lot of local storage to do much more with it. Ours is primarily used to VPN/RDP into an office workstation, and it's perfectly fine for that. Battery life seems good. Just be aware that this laptop comes configured with Windows 10 S Mode. You will need to turn off 'S' mode if you ever want to install software outside of the Microsoft Store. This laptop might also be a good option for kids doing remote learning since schools typically utilize cloud tools like Google Classroom, Google Docs/Slides, etc.

I briefly tried a chromebook before this and returned it. I hands down prefer a laptop strictly for accessability. This guy is lightweight, so far a nice battery life, and great value for the price. I mainly use it for spreadsheets, but am impressed with the screen quality as well. I did adjust my screen settings to 125% and feel like that provides a really great size font and view. I've actually even started to use this more than my IPad for general web browsing, as well. I did purchase mine a little cheaper at open box price, which I'm glad I did--honestly couldn't tell a differnce vs. brand new.

I admit I was a little skeptical when I bought this, but it worked out perfectly. For the price, it's an excellent device. I bought it to replace my dad's iPad. He wanted something easy to work with that he could use for internet browsing and email, which this is wonderful for. I wouldn't recommend using it for gaming or storing a lot of data, but as a small travel laptop or a laptop for someone who isn't looking for something with extremely high performance (that being said, this little thing is pretty fast and it has great battery life), I highly recommend this.

The laptop is great with its battery life, all-day-use is real ! Really easy to switch out from S mode to install some essential things: Firefox, Zoom, etc. Window 10 will take you approx. 23gb for the space, so considering it! Front camera is definitely low-level, however, not a big problem! The 11.6" screen is absolutely fitted for any essential tasks. Really lightweight laptop. This laptop is more than what you can expect with its price.

I really didn't want to buy this little laptop. I am used to a bigger screen. I was in desperate need and I am so glad I did buy it. It is lightweight, fast and gets the job done all in one charge. I love the color and ease of use. I took one star off because its not perfect but close to it.

I ended up buying 3 of these because we weren’t sure at the time if the school district was going full distance or would keep the full time in-person this Fall (I have a 4th grader, 2nd grader, and kinder student this school year). I work in IT and my current laptop has 32 GB of memory and over 1 TB in SSD, so these laptops are a far cry from that. That being said, these so far seem to be able handle Office, Teams, and Minecraft just fine. I removed the S version of Windows Home by going to the Microsoft Store (so I could install Teams, Firefox, and Chrome). I set up a family group in Microsoft Family Safety, which made it easy to setup users on each computer and store everything in OneDrive. You can even set age limit restrictions, time restrictions, etc with Microsoft Family Safety. I made all 3 laptops the same, so each child can do something on one laptop one day, save it to OneDrive, and then pick up a different laptop the next day and resume where they left off. Each laptop came with Office 365 personal ($70 value) and Bestbuy shipped them next day shipping (for free), so I have zero complaints thus far.
