Genuine HP, but I think you pay extra for that

Power cord - works.

It appears to be built to be strong. And it will fit on a power strip next to something else, a feature many appliances don't provide. I bought it because I visited a client 2,500 miles from my office, and left my laptop's power cord in the office. Best Buy bailed me out.
